An officer contacted an intoxicated man. The suspect resisted being arrested for public intoxication by clenching his fist as if preparing to assault the officer and by pulling away from the officer. The officer used his Taser on the suspect and took him into custody. The officer and the suspect were not injured. A sergeant responded to the scene to approve the arrest and to conduct a use of force investigation. The suspect was medically cleared prior to being booked into the Redwood City Jail for public intoxication and resisting arrest.
An adult male victim parked his blue Schwinn hybrid bike (Value $275.00) at the San Bruno Station on 10/17/12, at 0700 hours. He used two chains and two locks to secure his bike to the bike rack. The victim returned at 2100 hours and discovered that his bike was missing. The victim did not have any serial numbers for the bike and video has been requested for the station.
A victim reported the theft of his black Men's, 21 speed mountain bike (unknown brand or model) from the station. The victim locked his bike to a light pole near the Huntington entrance, using a chain and paddle lock. He secured his bike on 09/5/12 at 1500 hours and returned at 2100 hours and discovered it was stolen. The bike was valued at $150.00. No evidence was located on scene.
A female victim reported that a male suspect ran his hand down her back and then squeezed her buttocks while in the bus zone. The victim positively identified the suspect and places him under citizen’s arrest for the battery. The suspect was booked at the Redwood City Jail.
An adult male reported the theft of his grey mountain bicycle, valued at $ 200.00. He locked his bike with a cable and combination lock to the bicycle racks at 1020 hours on today’s date. Upon his return at about 1230 hours, the bike was missing. 1207 - 4537 L14
A patron made a telephone report stating her pink Apple iPhone 3 was taken while it was inside her purse when she was aboard a Millbrae bound train near the station earlier in the day.
A female patron reported that a male attempted to grab her purse from her shoulder, but she was able to hang onto the purse and report the incident to the station agent. A sergeant arrived and located a male matching the description given. The victim positively identified the detained subject as the same one who tried to take her purse. The male suspect refused to give a statement or speak to officers. He was booked into the Redwood City Jail for Attempted Robbery. The victim was not injured.
Officers responded to a report of a fight that had taken place in the bus zone. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who was in pain and had to be taken to Peninsula Hospital via ambulance. Witnesses at the scene stated two males had punched and kicked the victim several times in the head as the victim lay on the ground. Two suspects were detained at a restaurant across the street, and were positively identified by witnesses at the scene. The suspects were placed under arrest for battery with serious injuries. Detectives arrived at the scene and interviewed both suspects. The victim was released from the hospital but returned to the station to positively identify the suspects.
A bike was stolen from the bike racks between 4/10/12 at 17:50 and 4/11/12 at 07:30. The bike had been secured with a cable lock which was cut.
An Officer responded to a local hospital on a report of a subject who was robbed of his wallet while in the plaza area of the station. The subject advised he just got off BART and was waiting for his ride in the plaza. He fell asleep and woke up to a subject who removed his wallet from his back pocket while 5 mixed race subjects struck him in the face. The victim was then transported by his girlfriend to the hospital for cuts and bruises to his face and hands. Victim was unable to identify suspects or clothing or provide a direction of flight. The victim advised he had been drinking prior to the incident. Video was requested.
An officer detained an adult male for jumping over the fare gates. Record checks revealed the male had an outstanding. $30,000 arrest warrant for drug violations issued by San Francisco County. The male was arrested and booked on his warrant at San Mateo County Jail. He was cited for fare evasion.
An Officer responded to a south bound train, holding on the platform, for a report of a subject who was known to have a stay away order. The subject was described by the Train Operator as a white male, 6 feet, 185 lbs, brown hair, and brown eyes. The Officer off boarded a subject matching the description and determined he had a stay away order from all BART stations until the year 2014. A Sergeant and another Officer also responded. The suspect was debriefed regarding BART related crimes and booked into the Redwood City Jail for violation of a court order. 1112-0928 L22.
A train operator reported seeing a man approximately 300 feet in the portal at the station refusing to board the train. Trains were held and power was dropped at the station for 12 minutes while an officer contacted the subject and walked him back onto the platform. The subject told officers he was under the influence of mushrooms and was a danger to himself. The subject was taken by ambulance to Peninsula Hospital for psychiatric evaluation. 1109-2336 L12.
San Bruno Police advised they had a juvenile suspect detained for brandishing a knife in the bus zone. A BART Sergeant and three Officers responded to the scene to take over the case. Their investigation revealed the suspect tried to strike up a conversation with the victim while in the bus zone. The victim refused his advances and words were exchanged. The suspect then pulled out a three inch folding knife and held it against the side of his leg, with the blade pointed downwards. At that point, San Bruno PD arrived and took the suspect into custody. The suspect was cited out to his mother for brandishing.
A 19-year-old man was stabbed in the back by a 16-year-old male. The stabbing occurred in the free area of the station near the ticket vendor. The stabbing was not a random act. The victim is hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was located and detained by a San Bruno police officer in South San Francisco. The suspect was transferred to the custody of the BART Police Department. BART police detectives are on scene and are currently investigating this crime. The names of the suspect and victim had not been confirmed as of the time this log entry was made.
A wallet was snatched from a patron after two adult males asked him for change. The suspects fled on foot.
B.P.D. officers assisted San Bruno P.D. with a subject who was resisting arrest in front of the station. The subject initially created a disturbance in the station then continued disburbing the public in San Bruno's jurisdiction where he was contacted and arrested by San Bruno P.D.
An adult female contacted for fare evasion was arrested and booked for an outstanding felony warrant charging burglary, grand theft, and forgery.
A female patron had her bag snatched in the bus zone area by a subject described as a male in his late teens, husky build, wearing a blue short sleeved shirt. The suspect fled on foot. Loss was a cell phone.
A woman victim reported that a man on the platform at San Bruno station was wearing woman's underwear and engaging in lewd conduct. Officer located the suspect in the bus zone and arrested him. The suspect was a known sex offender and was booked at San Mateo County Jail.
