A sergeant contacted an adult female for fare evasion after the station agent reported that she entered the station without attempting to pay her fare. The female refused to identify herself or make arrangements to pay fare and attempted to walk by the sergeant to go to the platform. She lunged at the sergeant and had to be physically restrained and placed into handcuffs. Once she was identified, she was booked into the Redwood City Jail for resisting/delaying an officer.
A victim reported her iPhone 6 was snatched from her hand at the San Bruno Station. The victim reported a dark skinned male (dark jacket and light backpack) came up behind her, snatched her phone from her hand and fled from the station. The victim did not see the male's face. Loss was a pink iPhone 6, value $800. Officers attempted to track the phone but the phone was shut off.
A victim reported the theft of their blue and white Nishiki men's 14-speed bike from the racks. The bike was taken between 1900 hours on 10/22 and 1307 hours on 10/23.
A sergeant responded to a request from SamTrans to conduct a welfare check on a male who had off boarded a bus and entered the station. The male was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself. A search of his person revealed a crack pipe and a $5,000 warrant for theft. The male was booked into the Redwood City Jail for public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia and the warrant.
Sergeants officers responded to the station’s platform level regarding a subject under an East Bay bound train. Police officers were soon joined by firefighters, and together they located the subject under a train car. BART’s transportation personnel separated the involved train car and firefighters declared the subject deceased shortly thereafter. Officers interviewed witnesses, and crime scene technicians responded to process the scene. At this point, the death does not appear to involve foul play. The on-call detective responded to assist with the investigation. Members of the Trauma Response Team responded as well, and the on-call chaplain was notified.
A victim reported the theft of their light green Nishi brand road bike, valued at $250.00, while it was cable locked in the paid area of the station between 0630 and 1530 hours. An officer completed a report.
While on patrol, an officer observed a subject steal a bicycle from the bicycle racks. A sergeant responded to the area and was able to locate and detain the suspect after he fled from the scene. A wants check revealed the suspect had a 25k misdemeanor warrant charging theft from this agency. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Redwood City Jail for theft and possession of burglary tools.
A pastor called to report that a man had just left his office near the San Bruno Station and threatened to jump in front of a BART train. He was able to provide a description to dispatch, which was shared with officers and the station agent. Trains were requested to use caution in the area. Officers located a male matching the physical description given at the fare gates and the male confirmed that he wanted to harm himself. The male, who was found to have a no bail warrant for DUI, was transported for psychiatric evaluation with a criminal hold for the warrant. He will be booked on the warrant once he has been treated and released.
An officer contacted an adult female for fare evasion and discovered that she had a $30,000 warrant for panhandling. She was cited for fare evasion and booked into the Redwood City Jail for the warrant.
A victim reported the theft of his orange GT 6-speed mountain bike from the bike racks. The bike was secured with a cable lock at 1050 hours and when the victim returned at 1120 hours, the bike was gone, but the cut lock remained. Station video is being requested.

A victim reported the theft of their blue men’s mountain bike, valued at $200, while it was cable locked at the station between 1200 and 2100 hours. An officer responded and completed a report.
A victim reported a red bag containing a $1,000 silver MacBook and a $400 iPhone 5s was taken while it was on the ground in the free area. There was no suspect information. The phone was tracked to the Pittsburg Station where a search was conducted with negative results.
A station agent reported seeing a male tampering with a bike at the bike racks. An officer arrived and detained the male suspect. A second male began interfering with the officer who was trying to detain the original suspect. After multiple warnings, the second male was detained for interfering/delaying an officer. The officer located a bike at the bike rack, with the lock cut. The tampering suspect was in possession of bolt cutters and a laptop computer. A records check revealed that he is on probation. Further investigation regarding the computer revealed that it belonged to a nearby business. The business confirmed that it had been stolen from them and they made a report with San Bruno PD. A detective was called to interview the suspect. The unsecured bike was taken for safe keeping and a note left on the rack for the owner to contact us upon their return. Both suspects will be booked into the Redwood City Jail (#1 for possession of burglary tools and possession of stolen property, #2 for resisting/delaying an officer).
A sergeant was on the platform when he noticed an adult male urinating on the platform. A records check revealed two no bail warrants for possession of marijuana for sales. The male was cited for urinating and booked into the Redwood City Jail for the warrants.
A patron reported by phone that their black & orange 21-speed Victory Vegas mountain bike was stolen from the racks between 0700-1930 hours. The victim secured the bike with a cable lock.

Officers responded to a report of an unresponsive person in the men’s room. Upon detention and further investigation, the person was discovered to be in possession of heroin and taken into custody. A record check revealed the subject had an outstanding $7,500.00 felony arrest warrant out of San Mateo for narcotics. The subject was transported to jail and booked for being under the influence and the warrant.

A victim reported his $650.00 red Canondale M700 series 26 inch men’s 21 speed mountain bicycle was stolen while it was cable locked at the bike racks between 1130-1230 hours on 11/6/14.
A victim reported the theft of his red 26" Cannondale bike from the bike racks. The bike was secured by the seat with a cable lock at 1130 hours. When the victim returned at 1222 hours, the bike was gone. It appears that the suspect removed the seat and was able to take the bike without cutting the lock. The cable lock was still attached to the bike racks.
San Bruno PD stopped a couple near the San Bruno Station who were engaged in a heated argument. The male had sustained a cut on his lip from a physical altercation that occurred at the San Bruno BART Station. BART officers were dispatched to meet with San Bruno PD. BART officers interviewed the male/female and learned the female had battered the male causing the facial injury. The couple has been in a dating relationship for four years. The female was placed under arrest for domestic battery and was given a prohibition order. An officer interviewed the female suspect and she admitted to placing her hands on the male. A sergeant responded to approve the arrest. The male refused to cooperate with investigating officers and refused an emergency protective order. Detectives were notified of the incident.
