A victim reported that he was sexually assaulted at the station at about 0900 hours. Suspect was a OM about 6’0 tall. Suspect is a Lyft driver. Suspect vehicle is a white vehicle possibly a Toyota or Honda. BART Detectives and ID Technicians were notified and responded to the scene. Video Recovery was also notified and an officer canvassed the neighborhood for possible external surveillance video. The case is still under investigation.
A victim reported the theft of their 2003 Chevy Blazer from the San Leandro Station, between 0450-1630 hours.
A victim reported that a male suspect (no further description) grabbed his Apple computer and ran off of the train at the San Leandro Station. He said that the crime occurred at 1205 hours. Train/station video will be requested.
A victim reported his white 1998 Toyota Tacoma was burglarized while it was parked and locked in the lot, between 0620 – 1800 hours. Entry to the vehicle was made via driver’s door cheat. The victim reported the vehicle’s (unknown brand) stereo and North Face brand sleeping bag were taken during the burglary, for a total loss of $350. An officer took the phone report.
A victim reported her tan 1996 VW Jetta was burglarized while it was parked and locked in stall #98, between 0615 – 1700 hours. Entry to the vehicle was made via unknown means, and its driver’s seat adjustment lever and windows were rendered inoperable. The victim also reported the vehicle’s Panasonic brand stereo, worth $200, was taken. An officer took the report.
A victim reported the theft of their 1992 Toyota Camry from the San Leandro Station, between 0700-1558 hours.
An officer detained the suspect for fare evasion. A records check revealed that the suspect was in violation of a court order to stay away from all BART stations. The suspect was placed under arrest and later booked into the Santa Rita Jail.
A female asked an officer to check to see if she had an arrest warrant. Records showed the female had a 15K arrest warrant. She was placed under arrest and was booked into jail.
A victim reported that two suspects grabbed her purse and iPhone, struggled with her and managed to take both before running but out of the train and the station. The victim ran after the suspects and fell to the ground, injuring her knee. She refused medical attention for the scrape. Witnesses stopped the suspects and demanded the victim's property. The suspects dropped the purse and later the phone and both were recovered and eventually returned to the victim. San Leandro Police Officers detained two suspects in the area, but the victim was not able to identify them, so they were identified and released. Train/station video will be requested.
The victim’s white 4-door 89’ Honda Civic was stolen from stall #73 between the hours of 0800-1600.
A male suspect detained by an officer for creating a disturbance was found to have an active “no bail” juvenile criminal warrant. The suspect was placed under arrest and subsequently booked into the county jail for the warrant; no complaint was sought for the initial disturbance.
A victim reported their 2002 Toyota Highlander was burglarized while parked at the San Leandro Station, between 0800-1720 hours.
A patron reported that their red 1987 Toyota pickup, with a white camper shell, was stolen between 0700-1840 hours.
A male suspect contacted by an officer and a sergeant for reportedly selling BART tickets was found to have an outstanding $25K misdemeanor theft warrant for his arrest. The suspect was arrested for the warrant and then booked into the county jail.
A BART Officer detained a suspect for fare evasion. The subsequent detention resulted in the suspect being arrested for a 15K warrant for battery and possession of suspected cocaine.
A victim reported that a male suspect (BM, 6'2", black peacoat) approached him at the ticket vendors and asked for the time. The suspect then said that he had "a clip" as he reached into his pocket (no weapon seen). He then demanded property from the victim, who handed over his cash (small bills and change). The suspect left the area and possibly boarded a bus. Officers checked a couple of possible AC Transit buses with negative results. Station video will be requested. This suspect may be the same suspect from the earlier robbery at the Coliseum Station.
An officer attempted to detain an uncooperative female subject who, at the time, was believed to be an escapee from a psychiatric facility. The subject resisted the officer’s efforts, and the officer used physical force to restrain her in handcuffs. The subject was then placed on a renewed psychiatric hold. A sergeant responded to perform the use of force investigation. No injuries were sustained by the officer or the subject.
A male suspect detained for fare evasion by officers was found to have two outstanding warrants ($50K – burglary charge and $5K – resisting arrest charge) for his arrest. The officers placed him under arrest for the warrants without incident, and he was then booked into the county jail.
A female victim reported that while aboard a train, a black male juvenile (wearing a black beanie, black hoodie and blue sweatpants) snatched her iPhone 6s from her grasp and fled from the train. Officers responded, but they were unable to locate the suspect. Officers were also unable to track the phone.
A victim reported that while aboard a Fremont bound train a black male juvenile, wearing a black sweat shirt, snatched their iPhone 6 from their grasp and fled from the train at the San Leandro station. The victim then reported the theft at the South Hayward station. An officer contacted the victim for the report. The phone was not trackable.

A victim reported her 1991 Geo was stolen from the San Leandro Station, between 0800-1500 hours.
A patron reported a male on the train who was saying that he was "packing" and challenged officers to contact him. An officer located the male and off boarded him from the train. During a pat search of the male, he resisted the search and battered the officer. The officer was able to deploy his Taser and take the male into custody. The male was issued a prohibition order and medically cleared before being booked into the Santa Rita Jail for resisting and battering the officer. The officer declined medical attention.
Officers responded to the San Leandro Station for a report of a male creating a disturbance at the Station. Officers detained the male and placed him under arrest for public intoxication.
