A female suspect attempted to steal a purse from a female victim as she exited the platform. The suspect punched the victim, but she was able to retain her purse and fled on a bus. The victim went to San Leandro Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. San Leandro PD detained a possible suspect near the station. Responding officers took custody of the suspect and the victim and witnesses positively identified the female juvenile as the suspect. The suspect was arrested for attempted robbery and was booked at Juvenile Hall.
A patron reported a disturbance on the Warm Springs train that was approaching the San Leandro Station. Officers responded and located a male that was involved in the disturbance and was in violation of a court order. He was placed under arrest and booked at jail.
A victim reported their 1996 Toyota Corolla was burglarized while parked at the San Leandro Station, between 0715-1750 hours. The suspect attempted to start the vehicle.
An officer responded to a report of a female creating a disturbance at the station. After making contact, the officer discovered that she had a $10,000 warrant for theft. The female was booked into the Santa Rita Jail for the warrant. No one wished to make a complaint for the original disturbance.

A female victim reported that a male suspect (BM, 14-15, white pants, dark colored shirt) grabbed her iPhone and fled out of the train. Other juveniles fled with the suspect. Officers detained a group of juveniles at the station, but the victim did not identify them as the responsible parties. The victim was not injured and the phone was tracked for a short time, but was not located. Train/station video will be requested.

The victims gray 99’ GMC Yukon was stolen between the hours of 1230 on 3/25 and 1130, today’s date. The vehicle was parked in the southwest portion of the main lot.
The victim was aboard a Fremont bound train which had just arrived at the station at about 2230 hours on 3/25/17. As the train doors opened, the suspect, described only as a 6’, dark-skinned male, snatched the victim’s white iPhone 6s from his hands and fled from the train. The victim is not able to identify the suspect.

A victim reported that their vehicle was burglarized while parked in the lot between 1630-2330 hours. Both the passenger and driver windows were smashed to make entry, but the victim could not determine if anything was taken. The report was made via phone.
A male called in to make a telephone report regarding a burglary of his vehicle while it was parked at the San Leandro BART station on 3/21/2017 between 0615-1745 hours. The victim stated he parked his car, a 2014 Volkswagen Passat, in the northeast parking lot. Upon returning to his vehicle, he found his trunk compartment had been accessed without any damage to the vehicle. The victim stated the loss was a green gym bag, a business folder, a white gold pinky ring, and three pairs of Nike brand shoes. Total loss was estimated at $2530. A report was taken by an officer.
