A victim reported that they parked and locked their vehicle (a 1996 Lexus LS400) in the parking lot today, at 0740 hours. They returned at 1737 hours to find their front driver’s side window smashed and DVD player missing. The reporting officer processed the vehicle for fingerprints.
Officers responded to a report of a male creating a disturbance at the San Leandro Station. The male was detained and records showed he had two felony arrest warrants issued by ACSO. The male was placed under arrest and was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
While on patrol, an officer conducted a welfare check on an individual on the platform. During the contact the officer determined that the subject was intoxicated. The subject resisted the officers attempt to detain him so physical force was used to subdue him. The subject was arrested and booked into the Santa Rita Jail for public intoxication. A sergeant responded to approve the arrest and conduct a use of force investigation.
A victim reported their white 1993 Honda Civic was burglarized while parked in stall #80 of the San Leandro BART Station. The victim parked at 1650 hours and returned at 2150 hours to discover their driver’s side front door was unlocked and someone had searched the inside of the vehicle. Loss was $10.00 in change from the ashtray and a LED flashlight ($60.00). The victim declined to have the vehicle processed for fingerprints.
A victim reported that he and his friends locked their bicycles (a baby blue BMX (no serial numbers, $1,400.00) and a grey Raleigh 10 speed (no serial, $300.00) to the bike racks on 2/21/15 at 1300 hours. The bicycles were secured with a cable lock. The victim returned at 1600 hours to find their bicycles gone. An officer took the report.
A victim reported his 1994 blue Nissan Altima was burglarized while it was parked and locked in stall #156 between 0730-1800 hours. The rear passenger window was smashed and a $400.00 Sony stereo was taken from the vehicle. Due to the rain, no prints were taken.
An officer located a vehicle with the driver's window smashed. The in-dash stereo appeared to be missing. The officer tried to locate contact information for the owner, but was unable to make contact. A note was left for the owner to contact us upon their return. The vehicle was not processed for evidence due to rain.
A victim reported his 2006 black Volkswagen Jetta 4 door was burglarized while it was parked and locked in stall #159 between 0530-1725 hours. The passenger window was smashed and a $125.00 CD player was taken from inside the vehicle. The owner refused to have his vehicle processed for prints.
A witness reported two suspects smashed the window of a vehicle and went inside the car while parked at the San Leandro Station. The suspects exited the car and fled in a white vehicle. Officers arrived at the station and determined three vehicles were broken into and the interiors were searched. Victim vehicles were a maroon 2012 Subaru Forester hatchback, a silver 2003 Mini Cooper, and a blue 2003 Volkswagen Beetle. The windows of all three vehicles were smashed and the interiors were searched. Loss is unknown and all three vehicles were processed for prints but with negative results. An officer completed a report.
A patron reported that their silver 1998 Honda Odyssey was burglarized while parked in the disabled lot, between 1230-1900 hours. An unknown suspect gained entry by using a shaved key. The interior of the vehicle was ransacked, but the owner could not establish any loss.
Patrons reported a male and female were physically fighting on Platform #2 of the San Leandro Station. Dispatch activated video cameras for the station and located the couple on the platform. The female appeared to be the aggressor and was detained by officers. Officers determined the couple were in a dating relationship and officers determined the female had struck the male based on witness statements. The female was booked at the Santa Rita Jail for domestic battery. The victim declined an emergency protective order and refused information regarding victims of violent crimes. A sergeant approved the arrest.
An officer responded to the station for a report of a subject who may have had an active BART prohibition order in effect. The officer contacted the subject in question and confirmed he had been issued a prohibition order. The subject was arrested and booked into the Santa Rita Jail for trespassing.
A victim reported his 1997 white Mercedes C280 4 door was burglarized while it was parked and locked in stall #816 between 1300-1625 hours. Entry was made via the passenger window and a backpack was taken from inside the vehicle. The vehicle was processed for prints with negative results.
