A victim reported the theft of their 2007 Ford F350 pickup. The vehicle was taken between 1130-1640 hours.
A victim reported that their vehicle was burglarized while parked in the north lot. The passenger window was smashed between 0930-1545 hours and stereo equipment was taken.
The station agent reported that two females were fighting in the station. Responding officers detained both parties and learned that they were involved in a dating relationship. The primary aggressor was arrested for domestic violence. She was issued a prohibition order and was booked at Santa Rita Jail. The victim was provided with domestic violence resources and an EPO was obtained for her.
A victim reported that they parked and locked their Volkswagen Jetta in space 165 today, at 0915 hours. They returned 1225 hours to find their front driver’s side window smashed and car stereo missing.
A sergeant observed a vehicle driving erratically on I-80 and conducted a traffic stop to investigate possible DUI. The driver was ultimately arrested for DUI. Record checks showed that the driver was unlicensed and was on probation for reckless driving. The driver was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for DUI, driving without a license, possession of open containers of alcohol and marijuana in a vehicle and probation violation.
A victim reported that their 2007 Nissan Xterra was burglarized while parked in stall #612, between 0850 and 1850 hours. The vehicle’s left rear passenger window was shattered to gain entry and the following items were taken: A $650.00 Kenwood brand stereo and a $150.00 iPod. An officer responded, processed the vehicle for fingerprints and completed a report.
While on patrol, an officer located a 2001 Ford Explorer which had been burglarized while parked in stall 109. The vehicle’s right rear passenger window was shattered to gain entry, and its stereo taken. The officer processed the vehicle for fingerprints and, as of this writing, is awaiting a call back from the victim.
A victim reported their black 2006 Ford Fusion 4 door was burglarized while parked at the San Leandro Station, between 0700-1900 hours. They returned to their vehicle and discovered their driver's window smashed and their Pioneer CD player (AVX 8500, retail $650) was removed from their vehicle. An officer completed a phone report.
A victim reported that they locked their Diamondback 21 speed bicycle at the station today at 1300 hours. The bicycle was secured with a U-lock. The victim returned at 1500 hours to find their bicycle gone. The estimated value of the bike is $400.
A victim reported that they parked and locked their Honda Civic in the parking lot in stall 190 on today’s date, at 1100 hours. The victim returned at 1608 hours to find their front driver’s side window smashed. The loss was reportedly a Pioneer car stereo valued at $250. The victim declined to have his vehicle processed for fingerprints.
A victim reported that their white 2015 Nissan Altima was burglarized while parked on the west side of the station, near the taxi zone, between 0745 and 1742 hours. The vehicle’s driver’s door window was shattered to enter the vehicle, and the following items were taken: Infinity brand subwoofer and two speakers – totaling $300 in value. An officer responded to investigate the burglary. The victim declined to have their vehicle processed for fingerprints.
An officer was on the platform when he heard a commotion in the bus zone. When he arrived at the concourse level, he encountered a male who said that he had been involved in a dispute with his Dad in the bus zone. The officer located the father, who had a 1" laceration over his eye and was bleeding. The father said his son punched him during the dispute, causing the injury. Medical attention was called for the father. The son (who is 17 years old) was issued a prohibition order before being issued a citation for battery and released to another family member.
A victim reported the theft of their black 2001 Acura Integra while it was parked at the station, stall 62, between 0545 and 1900 hours. An officer responded and completed a report.
Officers detained a male suspect for reportedly disturbing a BART system service employee at the station. A criminal history check of the suspect revealed an active court order prohibiting him from BART properties, so he was placed under arrest for the violation; a sergeant approved the arrest. As the BART employee did not wish to pursue a criminal complaint against the suspect, he was transported to the county jail in order to be booked for the court order violation. At the jail, however, medical staff declined the suspect’s booking as a he was experiencing symptoms of a pre-existing medical condition. The suspect was then transported to a nearby hospital where he received further medical attention. Finally, at about 1819 hours, the suspect was booked into the county jail without further incident.
Officers responded to the San Leandro Station for a report of a male dragging a female off the escalator and exit the station. Witnesses reported the male slapped the female. Officers located the couple and detained the male. The male was identified and placed under arrest for battery. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail and was issued a prohibition order. 10/12/15 L22
A business owner flagged down passing officers to report a disturbance at the business. Officers detained a male and female and determined that no crime had been committed. However, record checks showed that the male had an outstanding no-bail arrest warrant for domestic violence, held by the Shasta County Sheriff's Office. The man was arrested and booked at Santa Rita Jail for his warrant. The female was release at the scene.

A victim reported the theft of their green/black men’s Magnum mountain bike, valued at $200.00, while it was secured with a Kryptonite cable lock at the station’s south rack between 0645 and 1800 hours. An officer responded and completed a report.
Officers responded to a report of a subject who was possibly intoxicated and banging on the ticket machines causing a disturbance. The officers arrived, located the subject on the platform, and determined he was intoxicated. The subject was arrested and booked into the Santa Rita Jail for public intoxication.
A victim reported that their silver 2006 Acura RSX was burglarized while parked in stall 792 between 0750 and 1900 hours. The victim reported to the investigating officer that they did not sustain a loss as a result of the burglary, but their vehicle’s driver’s door window was shattered. The officer processed the vehicle for fingerprints and completed a report.
A victim reported the theft of their white 2001 Dodge truck while it was parked at the station between 0600 and 1535 hours. A community service officer responded and completed a report.
A train operator reported seeing an adult male on the elevated track way, just north of the San Leandro Station. Trains were held out of the area while officers responded. Central allowed a nearby train to conduct a track inspection and the train operator was able to convince the male to board the train. The train was brought to the San Leandro Station where officers contacted the male and determined that he was in need of psychiatric evaluation. No one was injured, but trains were delayed approximately 17 minutes as a result of the incident. TSOC was notified.
A victim reported the theft of their 1999 Toyota 4Runner while it was parked in stall 832, between 0900 and 1550 hours. An officer responded and completed a report.
An officer was on patrol of the San Leandro Station when a male adult fare evaded through the emergency doors, setting off an alarm. The officer detained the male in the bus zone and a records check revealed the male had a $10,000 warrant for a traffic violation. The male was cited for the fare evasion and was placed under arrest on the warrant. The male was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
A patron reported that their unknown make/model gray road bike was stolen from the racks between 0800 hours on 9/18/15 to today at 2030 hours. The victim secured the bike with a cable and U-lock, which were cut.
