Two male subjects, Derek ETHRIDGE (21 years old, San Leandro) and Richard CASASOVALLE (27 years old, Hayward), were taken into custody for vehicle theft and a violation of probation. ETHRIDGE was found to have two outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrants and CASASOVALLE was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were booked into Alameda County jail.
Ricardo Romero (26 years, San Francisco) ran from police, after being contacted for a drinking violation, by running on to the station's track way. Officers chased and arrested Romero for the listed violations. He was subsequently booked into the county jail.
The victim reported being robbed of their personal property, by a male suspect, while in the station's north parking lot. The suspect then fled, and was briefly pursued by an allied agency before the pursuit was canceled. Further investigation is pending.
Thomas McCarthy (37, San Lorenzo) was detained on a psychiatric hold and will eventually be booked on charges of robbery and interfering with a railroad. He was also issued a prohibition order.
Officers responded to an anonymous report of a person in possession of a bomb on a Richmond bound train. The train was held and searched with negative results. TSOC notified.
0098 Officers placed a male (Kirby Cabrera, 40 years, San Leandro) under arrest for assault with a deadly weapon at the San Leandro Station. Cabrera was booked into jail and was issued a prohibition order. The victim declined medical treatment.
Rolando Manalastas (55 years old, San Leandro) was arrested for public intoxication and a probation violation at the San Leandro Station. Manalastas was booked into the Santa Rita Jail.
Officers responded to the San Leandro Station and detained a male (John Doe) that allegedly threatened patrons and committed a battery. The male was placed under arrest for public intoxication and booked into jail. No one came forward regarding the battery.
A victim reported their green two aped mountain bike (unknown model or serial number) was stolen from the San Leandro Station, between 1430-1600 hours. The bike was secured to a bike rack with a cable and paddle lock.
Officers responded to the San Leandro Station to investigate a report of three male juveniles burglarizing a Honda in the parking lot. It appears that two of the three suspects entered a black Honda CRV by defeating the door lock, while the third suspect attempted to enter a silver Honda CRV. After a brief foot pursuit, all the suspects were detained and positively identified. The loss is unknown at this time. The suspects were arrested for auto burglary, conspiracy and resisting arrest. The suspects were issued Notices to Appear and released to their parents/guardians.
