Officers responded to the station on the report of an in-progress burglary of a tan 2007 Toyota Prius parked near stall 831. A witness reported seeing a Black male suspect smash the vehicle’s rear windshield, reach into the vehicle and take an unknown brand duffel bag. The suspect, described as 30 years of age and wearing a lite-colored shirt and baggy pants, then fled in a silver or white Dodge Caravan toward Forester Street. The primary officer was unable to locate the suspect or suspect vehicle.
A victim reported the theft of their lite-blue Surly brand women’s road bike, valued at $500.00, while it was U and cable locked at the station between 1400 and 1855 hours. An officer contacted the victim and completed a report.
While on routine patrol, a sergeant saw two people suddenly duck behind a car in the parking lot. The parties were detained for investigation of possible auto burglary. Record checks showed that one of the detainees had an outstanding $5,000 arrest warrant for possession of narcotics, held by Berkeley PD. The first suspect was identified and released. The second was booked on her warrant at Santa Rita Jail.
A victim reported that they locked their Nishiki 18 speed bicycle at the station on 10/24/15 at 2000 hours. The bicycle was secured with a U-Lock. The victim returned today at 1145 hours to find their bicycle gone. The estimated value of the bike is $500.
A victim reported that they locked their Decathalon Rock Rider hybrid bicycle at the station on 10/23/15 at 1635 hours. The bicycle was secured with a U-lock. The victim returned today at 1230 hours to find their bicycle gone. The estimated value of the bike is $100.
A victim reported that they parked their 2006, Honda, Element in the permit lot on 10/15/15 at 0530 hours. The victim returned on 10/19/15 at 1745 hours and found their catalytic converter gone.
A victim reported that they locked their Specialized Cyrus Elite bicycle at the station on 10/16/15 at 1830 hours. The bicycle was secured with a U-Lock. The victim returned today at 1200 hours to find their bicycle gone. The estimated value of the bike is $590.
A victim reported the theft of their blue unknown name brand racing bike, valued at $1000.00, while it was secured with a plastic chain at the station between 1800 and 2220 hours. An officer responded and completed a report.
A victim reported that their gold colored 2007 GMC Yukon was burglarized while parked in stall 893 between 0630 and 1700 hours. An officer responded and determined the vehicle's front hood locking mechanism was defeated by unknown means, and the vehicle’s (unknown name brand) battery was stolen; the victim was unable to provide an estimated value for the battery.
BART Police received several 911 calls reporting shots fired at the Rockridge Station. BART AND OPD officers arrived and found spent shell casing in the parking lot. A witness advised male suspects fled into the surrounding neighborhood. A perimeter was set and a male was detained. He is being interviewed by BART Detectives. OPD located a vehicle near the station and the driver sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The male victim was transported to the hospital and is in surgery. Wounds are non-life threatening. A victim reported that they rode the train and placed their bicycle (a Kona Mahuna mountain bicycle) in the bicycle area today at 1030 hours. When the victim arrived at the Millbrae Station at 1150 hours they discovered their bicycle was taken.
A victim reported his 2003 white Ford Ranger was burglarized while it was parked and locked in stall #444 in the west lot between 0750-1930 hours. The passenger window was smashed and the interior of the vehicle was ransacked.
A female victim reported that at 0555 hours she was walking through the parking lot when a vehicle (newer tan Toyota Corolla) approached and a male (unk race male, 20's, 6', black hoodie) got out of the passenger's side. The male pointed a handgun at her and tried to take her purse from her shoulder. She told the male that she was heading to a funeral and held on to her purse and a piece of luggage she was carrying. The driver of the vehicle yelled out to the other suspect to leave her alone, so the armed suspect got back into the car and they drove out of the lot. The victim, who managed to hang onto all of her property and was not injured, reported the crime when she got to the San Francisco Airport Station. Detectives were notified of the case and station video is being requested.
Patrons reported that two males were involved in a fight at the base of the street escalator. Officers responded and detained two males and a female. They determined that one man approached the other male and his girlfriend and began pushing the female for no apparent reason. The suspect made verbal threats to harm the female. The other male defended the female and pushed the suspect away. The suspect was arrested for battery, making criminal threats and for providing a false name upon detention. The suspect was refused at Glenn Dyer and Santa Rita Jails, so he was ultimately released on a citation.
A victim reported that their vehicle was burglarized while parked in the lot between 1120 – 1159 hours. The rear window was smashed to gain entry and four medium sized suitcases containing fabric, valued by the owner at $500.00 were taken. The victim vehicle was processed for prints with negative results.
An officer located a vehicle in the lot with a smashed window. He was able to contact the owner (who is out of town) via phone and determined that the vehicle was burglarized between 1730 hours on 6/30 and 0740 hours on 7/02. The vehicle was processed for evidence. The loss has not been determined at this time.
2. Red 2007 BMW 328i / west lot - stall 673 / (2) side windows shattered and interior ransacked / processed for fingerprints / unknown loss – pending victim contact. 1506-5728 3. Silver 2006 Infiniti G35 / west lot – stall 529 / between 0720 and 0003 hours / front passenger window shattered / no loss / processed for fingerprints.
A patron reported that a Green Toyota Prius parked in stall #270 with the driver's door window smashed out. An officer responded and found the interior of the vehicle ransacked. The officer processed the vehicle for latent prints. It is unknown at this time if there is any loss from the vehicle. The officer left his business card for the owner.
A victim reported that their blue/white 2012 Mini Cooper was burglarized while parked in stall #743 between 1130 and 2000 hours. The vehicle’s right rear passenger door window was shattered to gain entry and the following items were taken: A purple Longchamp brand purse, clothes, a pair of prescription and sun glasses and an iPhone charger – total monetary loss of $1120.00. An officer responded, processed the vehicle for fingerprints and completed a report.
A victim reported her 2006 silver BMW X3 was burglarized while it was parked and locked in stall #415 between 0710-1700 hours. The front passenger window was smashed, and a makeup case was taken from inside the vehicle. The victim refused to have the vehicle processed for prints.
