A victim reported that they parked and locked their vehicle (a 2011 Audi A4) in the parking lot today, at 0615 hours. They returned at 1630 hours to find their vehicle burglarized (driver’s side window smashed) and sunglasses taken. The victim declined to have their vehicle processed for fingerprints. 1606-1817 hours
A victim reported the theft of his silver Raleigh Cadet 1 bike from the bike racks. The bike was secured with a U-lock on 6/25 at 0830 hours and when the victim returned at 0030 hours on 6/26, the bike and lock were gone.
The victim was walking out of the station towards the Miles parking lot while talking on her phone. All of a sudden, a Black male juvenile, 14 yrs old, wearing a printed shirt, who was in the company of 3 other Black male juveniles, pushed her down from behind, causing her to drop her phone. One of the juveniles picked up her phone and they all fled the area on foot. An area check for the suspects was negative. The victim was not injured and declined medical attention. The phone did not have tracking capability. Station video will be requested.
Officers responded to the station to investigate a report of a person who was intoxicated in public. Officers contacted the suspect and determined that the suspect was unable to care for his own safety due to intoxication. The suspect was uncooperative and had to be restrained. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication and was booked into jail.
An unknown suspect broke the left front passenger window on a 2008 Mercedes Benz C300 which was parked in parking space #743 from 6/11/16 at 13:30 to 6/12/16 at 17:00. There was no entry into the vehicle and no loss other than the broken window.
A BART employee reported that their District vehicle was burglarized while parked at the station between 0300-0310 hours. The window was smashed and two bags were taken (which contained BART maps, tools and flashlights. The vehicle was still locked, but processed for evidence. TSOC was notified #TSA-06-15224-16.
A patron reported that their blue 1997 Honda CRV was burglarized while parked in stall #611 in the south lot, between 1430-2030 hours. An unknown suspect forced the driver's door lock to gain entry and stole $50 in cash from the center console.
A female reported via cell phone that her ex-boyfriend had slapped her while they were on the train. Officers responded and contacted both parties on the train. The victim had no visible injuries and refused medical aid. The male suspect was booked at the Glenn Dyer Jail for domestic violence and for a $15K outstanding warrant for dangerous drugs. A prohibition order was issued to the male.
A victim reported the theft of their 2004 Honda Element’s catalytic converter while the vehicle was parked at the station, stall 176, between 1400 and 1745 hours. An officer contacted the victim and completed a report.
An officer responded to the station’s Zipcar parking area, stall 868, on the report of a vehicle alarm sounding, and located a black 2016 BMW X3 which had been burglarized. The vehicle’s right rear passenger window was smashed to gain entry. As the vehicle belonged to Zipcar, the officer made telephone contact with a company representative to inform them of the burglary. The officer processed the vehicle for fingerprints and completed a report.
A patron reported that an unknown suspect attempted to steal their orange 1977 Volkswagen camper while it was parked in stall #571 in the south lot, between 1830-1840 hours. The suspect was unsuccessful in starting the vehicle, but damaged the steering column, rendering the vehicle immobile.
Officers responded to the Rockridge Station for a report of a carjacking. Three suspects confronted the victims and took the car at gun point. A victim was battered by the suspect before leaving with the car. The vehicle was later recovered by OPD.
A victim reported her dark green 1997 Honda Accord was broken into while parked at the Rockridge Station, between 1135-1800 hours. Point of entry was through the driver's door, by cheating the door lock. The interior of the car was searched and no loss was reported, other than the damage door lock.
A station agent requested an officer to check the welfare of a female at the station. The agent felt the female was intoxicated and could not care for herself. An officer arrived, determined she could not care for herself and was placed under arrest for public intoxication. The female was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 1512- 1422
