The victim of a stolen vehicle called to report that a female had called her today trying to sell her her previously stolen car for $200. The victim had reported her car stolen from the Dublin/Pleasanton Station on 5/22/11. The suspect eventually agreed to meet at the Rockridge Station to return the car and collect the money. Detectives and patrol officers were able to detain an adult male and an adult female suspect after they had parked the stolen car and approached a plainclothes detective, who was acting as a relative of the victim. Both suspects were interviewed by detectives before being booked at Glen Dyer Jail for the possession of stolen property charge. Other charges are pending and the investigation is on-going.
An officer discovered that the four tires and rims had been stolen off of a 1998 Acura Integra, in stall #474, prior to 1842 hrs. (A business card was left requesting contact from the vehicle owner.)
A victim parked his vehicle at the north lot of the Rockridge Station at 0745 hours and when they returned at 1820 hours discovered that his 1997 Toyota 4Runner had its catalytic converter stolen.
A man, who appeared to be in his 40's, was struck by a Pittsburg train as it entered the station. The train operator saw the man lying between the platform edge and the tracks as she approached the station. The victim was unconscious when taken to the hospital. The investigation is in progress.
According to passengers aboard a San Francisco Airport train, a 43-year-old man was spraying something into the air from an aerosol can, throwing things, and frightening people. The train was originally held at Orinda station. It was released when the man off-boarded. The train was then held at Rockridge station because the subject had re-boarded. The man was detained at Rockridge station. It was determined that no passengers had been injured. The subject was transported to the John George Psychiatric Pavillion for a psychological evaluation. The train was delayed for 6 minutes.
A patron reported a subject slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle parked at the Rockridge BART station. Upon contact by an officer, it was determined the subject was under the influence. The subject had an outstanding felony warrant for narcotics usage. The subject was arrested on the outstanding warrant, as well as narcotics possession, drug paraphernalia and probation violation. Booked into Santa Rita jail.
A female adult reported her cell phone had been taken from her hand without permission while on a Millbrae bound train by a male adult known to her. Officers were unable to locate the suspect, who had fled in an unknown direction. 1011-2358 L12.
A 42-year-old man was detained for pushing a male station agent. The station agent was not injured and declined to press charges. The suspect was reprimanded and released.
An adult male was sitting on his bicycle at the street level of the station when he was approached by two adult male suspects. The suspects attacked the victim without provocation and knocked him to the ground. The victim was punched, kicked and had his bicycle thrown at him before the suspects fled in a car. Bystanders came to the victim's aid and obtained a good description of the suspects and the car they fled in. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of pain to his shoulder due to the attack.
An adult male was involved in a fare dispute with the station agent during which he spat on the agent and then fled on foot. The suspect was not located. The suspect was described as a Hispanic Male, 5'6" tall, 150 pounds.
Officers arrested an adult male at the Rockridge Station for public intoxication and making threats against the officers. The suspect was booked.
An adult female jumped onto the tracks in front of an approaching train. The victim landed between the rails and the train passed over her without serious injury, stopping with the victim under the train. The victim was rescued from under the train and taken to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. There was no indication of foul-play.
An adult male was held for psychiatric evaluation after he told the station agent that voices were telling him to kill himself by jumping in front of a train.
A witness/victim reported an adult male staring at her and fondling himself while both were on a Pittsburg bound train approaching Rockridge Station. The suspect, described as a white male in his 50's, balding, wearing sunglasses and dark clothing, off-boarded at the station and was seen leaving on a silver-grey bicycle.
A 36-year-old woman was cited for child endangerment. She had left her 3-year-old son and 19-month-old daughter in a parked car while she went shopping. When she returned to the vehicle, the children were missing. They were found wandering in the parking lot by a patron. The children were released to their father.
An adult male reportedly casing autos in the parking lot was arrested and booked for possession of possible narcotics in addition to over $570K in felony warrants which included charges of burglary, grand theft, and parole violation.
The victim of an armed robbery that occurred a block from the Rockridge station reported the incident to a lieutenant at the station. The victim, six and one-half months pregnant, was struck in the stomach by the gun-wielding suspect who demanded her belongings as she walked north on Keith Ave. The suspect, an adult male in his late 20's, fled in a black Honda. The victim was taken to a local hospital for examination. Loss was $600 cash.
The department's Tactical Team was deployed to police a public demonstration at Rockridge Station protesting the officer-involved shooting at Fruitvale Station on New Year's Eve. There were no arrests and revenue service to the station was not affected. L18
A witness to a beating that occurred in Oakland PD's jurisdiction several weeks ago observed the suspect vehicle involved and possible suspects in the parking lot of the Trader Joe's store a block from the Rockridge Station. The witness reported her observation to BPD officers at Rockridge who then detained one of the suspects (identified by the witness) and turned her over to the Oakland Police.
A male juvenile reported being robbed at Rockridge by three male juveniles after one of the suspects grabbed the victim in a bear hug while the other two suspects rifled through the victim's pockets. The suspects took the victim's wallet, which contained $70 in cash. The victim did not report the crime until after he took the train to the Walnut Creek Station. Officers checked Rockridge for the suspects with negative results.
Officers responded to a report of a disturbance on board a train at the Rockridge Station and discovered that an adult male suspect had been verbally harassing a group of junior high school students and their chaperons who were on a field-trip. Based on witness statements, officers arrested the suspect for disturbing the peace and annoying children.
A female citizen walking her dog in front of the station was attacked and battered by a group of juveniles after she took exception to them taunting the dog. The assailants boarded a bus and left the area. The victim suffered minor injuries.
A citizen observed two adult males approach a vehicle parked in the lot. One suspect smashed a window and both suspects entered the victim vehicle, removing the stereo and other property. An officer detained both suspects as they entered their vehicle, parked across the street from the lot. The property was recovered and both suspects were booked.
A patron on board a Pittsburg bound train reported a male exposing himself. The suspect was observed masturbating prior to the train's arrival at Rockridge station where he off boarded. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspect.
A 36-year-old man was the victim of a strongarm robbery in the west-parking lot. The suspects were three male teenagers wearing dark-colored, hooded sweatshirts. The loss was $100 cash. The victim reported the crime two hours after it occurred.
