Chad Estis (35, Berkeley) was arrested for battery, violation of a prohibition order and violation of a court order. He was booked into the Santa Rita Jail.
A male (Maurice ADAMS, 43, Oakland) was detained for disturbing the peace. He had an outstanding no-bail arrest warrant for burglary, held by ACSO. Adams was arrested and booked at Glenn Dyer Jail.
A witness reported a male suspect breaking into vehicles in the parking lot. Responding officers detained a suspect (Andrew FRIEDMAN, 27, Oakland), who was positively identified by the witness. Friedman was ultimately arrested for auto burglary and possession of stolen property. Five victim vehicles were located in the parking lot. Friedman was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
At 2054 hours, Pittsburg Police arrested a juvenile suspect who was driving the carjacked vehicle. The suspect was arrested after crashing the car and attempting to flee from the scene. Detectives were notified and the vehicle was towed and stored. Investigation pending.
While in her vehicle (2017 grey Honda Accord #7YSM397 CA) in the west lot, a woman was approached by a male who pointed a black semi-auto handgun at her. The woman exited her vehicle, and the suspect drove away in her vehicle with another male. The suspect with the gun was described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s wearing a black hooded jacket. The second suspect was a male with no further description. There were no injuries.
The on-duty station agent reported that a male suspect (Black male, 50s, light blue long sleeve shirt, black and white plaid shorts, black shoes, short afro, slim build) became upset and battered her at the Rockridge Station. The suspect then took the victim’s work bag and fled the scene. Officers searched the area for the suspect with negative results.
Officers contacted a male subject (Quantrell GALES, 25 years old, Transient) for fare evasion. A records check revealed an outstanding $20,000 misdemeanor arrest warrant out of San Francisco County. GALES was taken into custody for his warrant and cited for fare evasion. GALES was booked into San Mateo County jail in Redwood City.
Station agent called to report a male subject inside the station who reportedly had a gun. The male (Julian FORD, 39 years old, Concord) was detained by officers in front of the station after he had walked out. Officers were unable to locate any gun, however a victim contacted officers to advise FORD had threatened him. FORD was found to have an active stay away order as part of his probation out of Alameda County. FORD was taken into custody for violating the stay away order condition. as well as disturbing the peace. FORD was booked into Santa Rita jail.
A victim reported he was robbed at the Rockridge Station at about 1913 hours. The victim was sitting on a bench when suspect #1 (Black male, 20-30 years old, black sweater, baggy jeans) threatened to kill him and demanded his property. Suspect #1 also told the victim he had a gun. Suspect #2 (Black male, 20-30 years old, camouflage pants, blue sweatshirt) ripped the victim's laptop from his grasp. The suspects fled the scene on foot. No weapons were displayed.
The victim's unknown brand 21 speed road bike, white in color with pink handle bars, was stolen at approximately 1735 hours. An unknown witness advised the on-duty station agent that she witnessed a Black male remove a pair of bolt cutter from a guitar case and cut the U-lock from the victim's bike and leave the area. The victim arrived at the station a few minutes after and confirmed her bike was stolen. Station video was requested.
A victim reported their Peugeot 15-speed bike was taken from the Rockridge Station, between 1400 on 8/22/17 and 0000 hours on 8/23/17. The bike was secured with a U-lock to a bike rack in the free area of the station.
