A victim reported a burglary of their 2012 Toyota Camry while it was parked in stall 2031 in the garage at the Richmond Station. The burglary occurred between 1600 hours on 9/10/17 and 0138 hours on 9/11/17. Entry was made via passenger side rear wing window smash. There was no loss.
An officer on patrol located two vehicles, each with a broken window, parked in the Richmond Station parking garage. An unknown suspect had broken the left rear window on each vehicle and ransacked the interior. Loss is unknown at this time and notes were left for the owners to contact BART Police when they return.
A victim reported that their 2008 Toyota Tacoma was stolen while it was parked on the 4th floor (unknown stall), in the parking garage, at the Richmond Station. The theft occurred on 8/30/17 between 0730 hours and 2010 hours.
An employee reported seeing two suspects vandalizing train cars with graffiti at the Richmond Yard. The suspects (Black males, tall, dark hoodies) fled the scene on foot. It was determined that two train cars were tagged with graffiti.
A victim reported that their vehicle was burglarized while parked at the station between 1500 hours on 8/24 and 0940 hours on 8/28. A window was smashed to gain entry and the interior was ransacked, but nothing was taken.
A victim reported that their 2008 Toyota Tacoma was burglarized while it was parked in stall 4015, in the parking garage, at the Richmond Station. The burglary occurred on 8/28/17 between 0745 hours and 1840 hours. An unknown suspect smashed the rear sliding window to gain entry. The loss was a social security card, a diamond ring and a laptop.
Victim reported the theft of their vehicle, a 1996 Toyota Camry, while it was parked in stall #2012 in the parking structure at the Richmond BART station. The vehicle theft occurred between 2100 hours on 8/25/2017 and 0330 hours on 8/26/2017. 1708-2162 L15.
Officers on a directed fare evasion enforcement at the Richmond Station observed a male (Francisco Hernandez, 39 years, San Francisco) attempt to fare evade through the fare gates following behind a patron but the gates before he could exit. Hernandez forced the gates open and was stopped. A records check revealed Hernandez had two arrest warrants totaling 50K. Hernandez was placed under arrest for the warrants. Hernandez was searched prior to booking and it was discovered Hernandez was in possession of narcotics. Hernandez was cited for fare evasion and was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on the warrants/narcotics violation.
Four female victims were on the platform at the Richmond Station when they were approached by a male suspect who made sexual advances towards them. The victims refused his advances and the suspect brandished a knife and made threats to harm them. The suspect was located and identified at the Embarcadero Station. The suspect was arrested for brandishing a weapon and making criminal threats. There were no injuries.
A victim reported their 1992 Chevy Impala was burglarized while parked at the Richmond Station, between 1830 hours on 8/17/17 and 0050 hours on 8/18/17. Loss was a tan suitcase containing misc. paperwork and misc. CD's worth $100.
Three auto burglaries were reported at the Richmond Station in the parking garage. All three incidents occurred between 1700 hours on 8/2/17 and 0400 hours on 8/3/17. An unknown suspect smashed the right front window of a 1998 Honda Civic and stole a Fastrak transponder and a car stereo remote control. The suspect also smashed the left front window of a 2003 Mercedes E500 and stole the vehicle's registration, insurance card and a roll of toilet paper. The suspect smashed the right rear window of a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta and searched the interior. The suspect did not remove any loss from the vehicle. 1708-0163, 1708-0183,
Officers detained the suspect for creating a disturbance inside the station. A records check revealed a $2,500 warrant for public intoxication held by the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect was placed under arrest for public intoxication and the warrant. The suspect was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.
An adult male suspect (BM, 6'2", flat top hair, white t-shirt, black jacket and white pants) became involved in a verbal dispute with an adult male victim at the station and punched him, knocking him to the ground. The suspect then kicked the victim multiple times, resulting in injuries to the victim. The suspect fled on foot and was not located. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. Station video will be requested.
A victim reported two males were at the Richmond Station that robbed her on May 19th. Officers responded, detained the suspects and placed them under arrest when positively identified by the victim. The suspect were booked into jail
The male victim reported that while sitting in stairwell at the station, an unknown black male adult punched him in the face and took his property (i.e., clothing and miscellaneous items) before fleeing on Macdonald Ave. toward Harbor Way. Officers unsuccessfully searched for the suspect. The victim, who did not sustain any visible injuries, declined medical attention.
An officer saw a chronic offender entering a vehicle in the parking structure. Record checks showed that the vehicle had been reported stolen to Oakland PD. The suspect refused to cooperate and fled on foot. Officers gave chase and apprehended the suspect about three blocks from the station. The suspect was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for auto theft.
