An adult female reported to the station agent that she'd been threatened. Investigating officers learned that she'd been actually robbed of her cell phone in Hallidie Plaza. No weapons were seen . The suspect was described as a male in his late teens with gold teeth, a hooded sweatshirt, and a grey beanie cap.
S.F.P.D. reported receiving a bomb threat at the Old Navy store above Powell St. Station. The 4th & Market Streets entrance to the station was closed. BART police officers assisted with crowd control at street level. A BART police K-9 unit aided S.F.P.D. in conducting a bomb sweep of the store. Train service was not affected.
A 42-year-old man was reported to have been touching and grabbing patrons. He was determined to be in need of psychiatric help and was transported to San Francisco General Hospital for evaluation.
Two officers observed a group of young adults enter the station, one of whom fare evaded. On the station platform, the officers confronted the fare evader and were quickly surrounded by the group. Backup officers arrived, and two suspects were taken into custody. Both suspects violently resisted arrest, and an officer was kicked.

A female patron reported that her purse was snatched while she was on the platform at Powell St. station. The offense occurred at 0745 hrs. and the suspect was described as a male, 19 yrs. of age, wearing a black jacket and black pants. The victim gave chase and recovered her purse and its contents after the suspect dropped it and fled.
A man falsely claimed that his 5-year-old sister had disappeared in the BART system. Over an hour later he admitted that he made the false report in an effort to get a free ride. He was determined to be in need of psychiatric help and was transported to San Francisco General Hospital.
An adult male contacted for fare evasion fled on foot and had to be physically subdued. The suspect, who was found to be in possession of marijuana for sale, was booked on said violations including resisting arrest.
Officers were conducting a security check of a Millbrae bound train at Powell St. station. The officers observed an adult male with a bag of marijuana. At Powell St. station, two plainclothes Special Enforcement Team officers observed two suspects attempting to use stolen credit cards to purchase BART fare tickets. The suspects were arrested and booked at the San Francisco Hall of Justice.
Officer contacted a male patron in the free area for panhandling and fare evasion. After giving several names, a warrant check revealed a no-bail parole violation arrest warrant. The subject, who was arrest for the warrant and for giving false identification to a peace officer, was booked at the San Francisco jail. 0
A female suspect called the San Francisco Police Dept. and said that a pipe bomb was placed in the station and then hung-up. BART and San Francisco officers searched the station and did not find any suspicious device. Two BART Police bomb detection canine teams also searched the station with negative results. There was not a delay in service.
While attempting to return property to a subject he'd arrested several days earlier, an officer was struck in the midsection by the subject after the latter became increasingly hostile during the contact. The suspect became assaultive after he claimed the officer had stolen property from him. The suspect was booked for battery on a peace officer in addition to an oustanding drug-related warrant.
