An officer witnessed an adult male fare evade at Pittsburg/Bay Point Station. The suspect refused to stop and identify himself to the officer. While attempting to detain the suspect, the officer was kicked and punched by the suspect. The suspect had to forcibly be taken into custody for battery on a peace officer. He was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility. 0701-1347 L21.
An adult male patron was threatened by a suspect while walking through the bus zone at Pittsburg/Baypoint Station. The suspect displayed an imitation handgun while making his threat. He then fled from the scene and was captured following a foot chase. The suspect was arrested for terrorists threats, using an imitation handgun and resisting arrest.
An officer observed a suspect loitering in the station parking lot, then observed a burglarized vehicle in the same lot. The officer detained the suspect and found him in possession of property from the burglarized vehicle and burglary tools. The suspect was arrested and booked.
A female patron aboard a Pittsburg/Bay Point bound train, used her cell phone to report a male masturbating aboard the train. An officer and a sergeant off-boarded the suspect at Walnut Creek Station, where the victim positively identified him. The suspect was arrested and booked.
Officers responded to a report of as many as 20-25 juveniles fighting in the parking lot. The investigation revealed that a strongarm robbery occurred in which the victim, a female in her late teen's, was robbed of a cell phone, shoes, and a necklace. The group of assailants fled on foot and possibly in at least one vehicle.
A 26-year-old man refused to cooperate while being detained for fare evasion. It took two officers to take him into custody. One of the officers sustained an arm injury in the process. The suspect was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for delaying/obstructing a peace officer and for falsely identifying himself.
A patron was punched in the mouth from behind by a suspect who attempted to take his shoes and shopping bag. The suspect fled empty-handed and officers were unable to locate him. The victim was treated by medical for his injury.
A patron was robbed of a duffel bag, two cellphones, and his wallet containing $300 in cash by four males in their twenties who approached him asking for a cigarette. The victim was stunned after being punched at which point the suspects removed said property from his person. The suspects fled into the surrounding neighborhood. The offense occurred adjacent to the access road. A search of the area proved negative.
A panhandler being contacted by an officer became violently resistant, flailing and kicking at the officer, while screaming threats. He was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and is also a registered sex offender. He was booked on the above charges. The officer was not injured.
An officer responded to Pittsburg/Bay Point Station regarding a woman passed out aboard an out of service train. Once awakened, the woman stepped off the train and suddenly began scratching and grabbing the officer. The subject was taken into custody and committed for psychiatric evaluation. The officer sustained several facial scratches and was treated by paramedics at the scene.
An off-property road-rage incident ended at the Pittsburg/Bay Point station. The two adult male drivers engaged in a mutual battery. One of the combatants retrieved a baseball bat from his vehicle and struck the other subject several times. Both subjects were injured but neither required medical attention. The suspect using the bat was arrested and booked for ADW.
A woman and man reported being victimized by another woman and man in the station pick-up/drop-off area. The female victim said that the female suspect slammed a car door on her arm after a verbal dispute. The male victim claimed that the male suspect struck him with a vehicle while leaving the scene. The suspects escaped and the case is being investigated.
Two female patrons off-boarded a Pittsburg bound train at Walnut Creek Station. They reported a suspect aboard the train carrying a gun and handcuffs concealed in his waistband, which he displayed to them. The train was checked at Concord Station, but the suspect was GOA/UTL.
During a child custody exchange, a male reported that his ex-girlfriend struck him with her fist, handbag and a squeegee. The incident had allegedly occurred about 30 minutes previously and the ex-girlfriend had already left the station. The victim did not sustain any injuries, and an investigation in on-going.
Suspects involved in a purse theft at a nearby fast food restaurant were detained at the station and turned over to the Pittsburg Police after a citizen notified the station agent of their presence.
A patron advised the Lafayette Station Agent of numerous juveniles brandishing knives at patrons aboard the Pittsburg/Bay Point bound train. At Pleasant Hill Station, officers off-boarded a group of juveniles and confiscated several knives. There were no known injuries, victims or witnesses. The juveniles were identified and released.
At Walnut Creek Station, a male victim was standing on platform #1 when a male suspect approached him and began speaking incoherently. The suspect then pushed the victim onto a bench, injuring the victim's lip. The suspect and victim boarded a Pittsburg bound train. At Pittsburg Station, the victim notified an officer, who arrested and booked the intoxicated suspect.
A domestic dispute resulted in a subject being struck in the face by his girlfriend. The suspect was apprehended in the station. The victim, who left the scene and returned home, declined further action.
