While on patrol, an officer observed a vehicle (a 2003 black Dodge Ram truck) on the 2nd level of the structure in stall 1891 with its rear sliding glass window smashed. While investigating the incident, the owner of the vehicle arrived. The reported loss was rollerblades, miscellaneous CD’s and clothing valuing a total of about $420. The owner did not want their vehicle processed for evidence.
An officer responded to the parking structure for a report of a male who was in the parking structure with his pants down. Upon arrival, the officer detained a person near the structure and placed him under arrest for being under the influence. The suspect was booked at the Martinez County jail. A sergeant arrived at the scene to approve the arrest and debrief the suspect.
A patron locked (cable lock) and left their bike at the bike racks next to the bus zone at 0730 hours. The patron returned at 2245 hours and discovered that their bike had been stolen. The bike is described as a Mica brand 24 speed mountain bike silver in color. The bike is valued at $450.00.
A victim reported the theft of his grey 24-speed Trek Hybrid mountain bike from the bike racks. The bike was secured with a U-lock (on the front tire) at 0705 hours. When the victim returned at 1640 hours, the front tire was still secured to the racks with the U-lock, but the rest of the bike was gone. Station video will be requested.
A victim reported his 1988 red Toyota Camry 4 door (CA #2KLF506) was stolen while it was parked at the station between 0700-2100 hours.
A patron reported the theft of his silver Schwinn mountain bike from the bike racks. The bike was secured to the rack with a cable lock on 10/5 at 0600 hours and when he returned at 2230 hours on 10/6, the bike and lock were gone.
A male suspect was drinking alcohol and banging on the station agent's door at the Pleasant Hill Station. An officer contacted the male and determined he was too intoxicated to care for himself. A records/warrant check showed the male had a 10,000 warrant for Driving under the influence. The male was cited for open container, booked for public intoxication and the warrant. The male was in possession of two pint bottles of vodka. A sergeant approved the arrest and the male was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.
A patron reported via phone that their silver and red GT 21-speed bike was stolen from the racks between 0830-1830 hours. The victim secured the bike with a cable lock. The victim valued the loss at $700. Officer R. Williams #271 took the phone report.
A victim (T. Panek) made a telephone report that her $1000.00 white Chivia 12 speed women’s road bike was stolen while it was cable locked at the bike racks between 0830-1730 hours.
A victim reported her $160.00 silver and black Northway Fe 4 speed road bicycle was stolen while it was cable locked at the bike racks between 0800 on 9/9/13 to 1730 hours on 9/10/13. Video hotline notified.
A patron locked (cable lock) and left their bike at the bike racks at 1115 hours. The patron returned at 2110 hours the same date and discovered that her bike had been stolen. The bike is described as a Giant brand 24 speed mountain bike, red in color, with a black luggage rack.
A patron reported that she secured her bicycle using a cable lock to the bike stand next to the entrance of the station at 0900 hours. The patron returned at 2000 hours and discovered that her bike had been stolen. The bike is described as being white with black and purple accents; no further description.
A victim reported the theft of her 10 year old red/silver Next 21 speed bike (no serial numbers or license) from the Pleasant Hill Station. The victim secured (Cable lock) to the bike racks, just south of the station at 1300 hours. She returned at 1700 hours and discovered her bike was stolen. The victim estimated her loss at $50.00. The investigating officer requested station video.
The victim parked his 2007 Volvo XC70 station wagon in the basement of the parking structure in stall #1305 between the hours of 1130-1700. Upon returning to his vehicle, he found the right rear passenger window was smashed and items missing from the vehicle. Two pieces of luggage and a wallet were missing from the vehicle. The victim's briefcase was found in one of the stairwells of the parking garage. The victim declined to have the vehicle processed for evidence.
A store keeper at the station informed an officer that a woman had just stolen candy from her store and went to the platform. The officer detained the suspect, who was positively identified by the storekeeper, and placed under citizen’s arrest for theft. The suspect resisted arrest and was placed in handcuffs with no injuries. A search of the suspect’s person incident to arrest resulted in the recovery of a crack pipe and Vicodin pills. The suspect was arrested and booked for petty theft, resisting arrest, and possession of paraphernalia and narcotics. A sergeant arrived at the scene to approve the arrest and debrief the suspect. An officer contacted a subject for fare evasion. A wants check revealed that the subject had an outstanding misdemeanor no-bail warrant for witness intimidation issued from the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s office. The suspect was issued a citation for the fare evasion and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for his warrant.
A victim reported two catalytic converters worth approximately $10,000 were stolen from her green 2002 Toyota Sequoia while it was parked in stall #3028 on the third level of the parking structure between 0440-1945 hours.
A victim made a telephone report that a person took a iPhone 4S from inside his carrying bag while he was off boarding a Pittsburg/Baypoint bound train at the station. There was no suspect seen in the immediate area. The phone was later traced to an apartment complex in Antioch. A search of the premises was conducted with Antioch Police with negative results.
A patron reported the theft of his silver colored, 22-speed, men’s Trek Mountain bike, worth more than $400. The bike was secured with a cable lock at 0730 hours and when the victim returned at 1830 hours, the bike and lock were gone. The victim provided the bike’s serial number, which was entered into the Automated Property System. The investigating officer requested station video.
A victim reported his $1,800 2012 white and black Giant 21 speed bicycle was stolen while it was cable locked at the bike rack between 0710-1800 hours. Video hotline requested.
A victim reported that they parked and locked their vehicle (a 2009 gray Ford Focus) on the third level of the parking structure on 07/12/13, at 0700 hours. A victim reported his $200.00 blue GT Ricochet 26 inch 15 speed mountain bicycle was stolen while it was cable locked at the bike racks between 1500 hours on 7/8/13 to 2200 hours on 7/9/13.
A fare evader fled from an officer but was apprehended a short distance from the station. The officer discovered that the suspect had over $15,000 in outstanding warrants from SFPD as well as a BART PD warrant for fare evasion. The suspect was arrested and booked on the warrants and issued a citation for fare evasion.
An officer was on patrol of the Pleasant Hill Station when he observed a male kneeling next to a bike and was holding a cable lock in his hands. As the officer approached the male, he quickly placed an item inside a bag that was next to him. The officer peered into the bag and saw a pair of pliers inside the open bag and fresh cut marks on the cable lock. The male was placed under arrest for theft and possession of burglary tools. A sergeant responded to approve the arrest. Detectives were notified and the man invoked his Miranda rights. The male was not on probation/parole and was clear JAWS. Station video has been requested.
