The victim parked in stall #987 (north lot) at 0625 hours and returned at 1755 hours to discover their converter was cut from the vehicle. Loss was reported between $800.00–$1,000.00. Officers responded to multiple reports of a White male subject on top of and physically attacking a female on the pedestrian overpass leading to the station. The suspect reportedly fled on foot towards the theaters. While en-route, the Orinda Police Department advised they had the possible suspect detained. The victim was transported to the hospital for injuries to her face, knees, and for possibly suffering from a concussion. The suspect was positively identified by a witness who was standing by. A detective responded to interview the suspect since the motive for the assault is not clear at this point. The victim was unable to give a full statement or identify the suspect because of her medical condition. The suspect was later transported to a mental health facility. Once cleared, the suspect is to be booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for assault with a deadly weapon likely to produce serious bodily injury. The suspect was issued a prohibition order.

A victim parked a black Cannondale CAAD-9 road bike ($1800, no serial numbers) on the on the concourse level, behind vendors, of the Orinda Station. The victim secured the bike to the rack using a cable lock at 0900 hours. He returned at 2025 hours to discover his bike was missing.
An anonymous patron reported a female was very intoxicated, appeared unable to care for herself and was vomiting on a San Francisco bound train. The female off boarded at the Orinda Station and an officer responded to conduct a welfare check. The female initially cooperated with the officer as he detained her to determine if she was able to care for herself but suddenly became physically aggressive and cursed at the officer as she attempted to walk away. The officer smelled a heavy odor of alcohol on the females breath, observed she had blood shot watery eyes and attempted to stop the female to place her under arrest for public intoxication. She physically resisted the officer and force was used to place her into handcuffs. The female was placed under arrest for public intoxication and resisting arrest. The female was not injured during the struggle and was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility for booking. A sergeant responded to approve the arrest and conduct a use of force report.

A victim reported their blue 2003 Nissan X-terra was burglarized while it was parked in the east lot, between 1230-1500 hours. The vehicle was entered by way of a (unknown) pry tool. Per the victim, the following items were stolen from the passenger compartment of the vehicle: Two gym bags containing $200 in cash, cycling gear and clothing, as well as two watches, for a total monetary loss of $1200.00. An officer completed a report.
A patron reported that their gray 2008 Toyota Sequoia was burglarized while parked in stall #200 in the west lot, between 0740-2032 hours. An unknown suspect smashed the passenger window to gain entry. The interior was ransacked, but the owner could not identify any loss.
A patron reported that their gray 2013 Ford F150 pickup was burglarized while parked in stall #1038 in the upper lot, between 0715-1938 hours. An unknown suspect smashed the passenger side crew cab window to gain entry. The interior was ransacked, but the owner could not identify any loss.
A male entered the station and told the station agent that he wanted to jump in front of a train. He then went to the platform. Power was dropped and trains were held out of the station while officers responded. The man sat on the platform edge and then went onto the tracks, before returning to the platform. The station agent was able to convince the man to return to the concourse, where arriving officers detained him. The man was transported to the county hospital for emergency psychiatric detention. Trains were delayed for about ten minutes as a result of this incident.
A victim reported the theft of her cell phone that occurred while she was riding BART, on 6/29/14. The victim reported that she was exiting the BART Train at Orinda, when she realized her phone was taken from her rear pants pocket. The victim claimed an unknown suspect removed her phone from her pants pocket without her knowledge while on BART. Loss was a black iPhone 5S (no serial numbers and unable to track), worth $500.00. The victim is from Australia and made the report for insurance purposes. An officer completed a theft report.

The victim parked her bicycle at the bike racks located next to disabled parking, at 0740 hours. She returned at 1650 hours to discover her bike was removed from the rack. The victim used a cable lock to secure the bike to the rack. Loss was reported at $200.00. An officer completed a theft report.
