Officers contacted a male (Yaiszu Morikawa, 49 years old, Sacramento) who is known to have a valid court order prohibiting him from being on BART property. A records check confirmed the court order. Morikawa was placed under arrest for the court order violation and booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.
A sergeant responded to a call of a male creating a disturbance on the platform. The male (Yaiszu Morikawa, 49 years old, Sacramento) was contacted and determined to have a stay away order to stay away from all BART stations. The order was confirmed to be current and the male was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for the court order violation. No one wished to make a complaint regarding the original disturbance.
A witness reported that a male suspect was stalking a female victim in the lower parking lot. Officers responded and detained the man. They learned that the female had a restraining order against the male. The male resisted being arrested, but was taken into custody after a brief struggle. He was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for violation of a court order and resisting arrest.
A victim reported a suspect entered their 2000 Acura Integra and attempted to steal the car while parked at the North Concord Station, between 0545-1623 hours. The steering wheel column sustained damage and the vehicle's battery was stolen.
Officers responded to the North Concord Station for a report of a female creating a disturbance at the station. Officers located the female and placed her under arrest for disturbing the peace and she was booked into jail
A victim reported a male subject had approached him in the bus zone to demand money. The victim told the suspect he didn’t have any money and started to walk away. The suspect followed the victim and told him he had a gun, as well as made motions with his hands that he had a gun. The suspect also threatened the victim that if he called the police he would kill him. Officers responded to the station and were able to locate and detain the suspect. The victim was able to positively identify the subject detained as the person who had attempted to rob and threaten him. The subject detained by the officers was found to have been issued a prior prohibition order by BART. The male subject was taken into custody and booked into Contra Costa County jail for all his violations. The subject was also issued a new prohibition order for today’s attempted robbery.
A female reported a male subject was masturbating on A San Francisco Airport bound train between Pittsburg/Bay Point and North Concord/Martinez stations. The officers contacted the victim aboard the train who positively identified the suspect and placed him under citizen’s arrest. The suspect was on misdemeanor probation out of Alameda County. The suspect was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility where he was booked for indecent exposure and a probation violation. The suspect was also issued a prohibition order prior to being booked into jail.
A victim reported their 1994 Ford Thunderbird was burglarized while parked at the North Concord Station, between 0805-2100 hours. The driver's door was forced open. Loss was a Garmin GPS and headphones, total $270. The ignition was damaged when the suspect attempted to start the Ford. Officer R. Wright completed a report and no prints were located.
An officer detained a suspect for possibly being drunk in public and discovered the suspect was listed as missing and also had a warrant for his arrest. The suspect was booked at the Martinez Detention facility for his warrant and taken out of the missing person system.
Concord PD requested BART Officers check the station for a suspect that took guns from his family’s residence without permission. The initial patrol check was negative. An officer later located the suspect at the station without incident. The suspect did not have any firearms in his possession. The suspect and the case were turned over to Concord PD.
An officer took a telephone report regarding an automobile burglary that took place on 02/22/2017 between 0430 hours - 1519 hours. The vehicle, a 2002 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck, was parked in the lower lot at the station and was entered by an unknown method. The vehicle was not damaged; however a FasTrak transponder was taken.
