Officers contacted a male (Melvin Jones, 69 years, Transient) for creating a disturbance on the train. He was found to have a $20,000 warrant for battery. No one wished to make a complaint about the original disturbance, so he was booked into the Santa Rita Jail for the warrant.
A patron reported a suspect had smashed a Zip car's window, was inside and attempting to start the vehicle. BART Officers, along with Berkeley Police responded. Thomas Hartsaso (21 years old, Santa Cruz) was arrested for vehicle burglary. He will be transported to County Jail.
An adult male (Jairo, Hernandez-Reyes, 53 years, Hayward) was contacted for fare evasion and found to have a $100,000 warrant for domestic violence and a $10,000 warrant for DUI. He was booked into the Berkeley City Jail for the warrants.
Nakiesha McGee (32 years old, Stockton) attacked her boyfriend, who is also the father of her child, on the platform at the Ashby Station. McGee stabbed the victim with an ink pen. The assault continued at the Berkeley Station. The victim suffered a non-life threatening injury. McGee was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, issued a Prohibition Order and booked at the Berkeley City Jail.
Officers responded to the Berkeley Station for a report of a male (Patrick McClellan, 27 years, Transient) creating a disturbance at the station. Officers contacted McClellan and a records check showed two arrest warrants totaling 20,000. McClellan was booked at Santa Rita Jail after being medically cleared.
A victim reported the theft of their Schwinn, 5-speed, bicycle from the North Berkeley Station between 1500 hours on 9/16/17 and 1000 hours on 9/17/17. The bicycle was secured to the bike rack with a U-lock.

A female victim reported that she was sexually battered by a male suspect while on the train at some point between the Richmond and North Berkeley Stations. The male (BM, 20s, 5'6", unknown colored hoodie) fled out of the train and out of the North Berkeley Station and was not located.
