An adult male, Danny Angelo RODRIGUEZ (37 years old, San Francisco), was taken into custody for battering a BART passenger. RODRIGUEZ was issued a prohibition order and booked into Santa Rita jail.
Armando Morales (30 years of age, Oakland), detained by an officer at the station for reportedly carrying a concealed weapon (knife), was placed under arrest of violating the terms of his probation and possessing a concealed weapon. He was then booked into the county jail.
Officers contacted a male (Melvin Jones, 69 years, Transient) for creating a disturbance on the train. He was found to have a $20,000 warrant for battery. No one wished to make a complaint about the original disturbance, so he was booked into the Santa Rita Jail for the warrant.
A patron reported a suspect had smashed a Zip car's window, was inside and attempting to start the vehicle. BART Officers, along with Berkeley Police responded. Thomas Hartsaso (21 years old, Santa Cruz) was arrested for vehicle burglary. He will be transported to County Jail.
An adult male (Jairo, Hernandez-Reyes, 53 years, Hayward) was contacted for fare evasion and found to have a $100,000 warrant for domestic violence and a $10,000 warrant for DUI. He was booked into the Berkeley City Jail for the warrants.
Nakiesha McGee (32 years old, Stockton) attacked her boyfriend, who is also the father of her child, on the platform at the Ashby Station. McGee stabbed the victim with an ink pen. The assault continued at the Berkeley Station. The victim suffered a non-life threatening injury. McGee was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, issued a Prohibition Order and booked at the Berkeley City Jail.
Officers responded to the Berkeley Station for a report of a male (Patrick McClellan, 27 years, Transient) creating a disturbance at the station. Officers contacted McClellan and a records check showed two arrest warrants totaling 20,000. McClellan was booked at Santa Rita Jail after being medically cleared.
A victim reported the theft of their Schwinn, 5-speed, bicycle from the North Berkeley Station between 1500 hours on 9/16/17 and 1000 hours on 9/17/17. The bicycle was secured to the bike rack with a U-lock.
Patrons reported a female creating a disturbance while holding a knife. An officer contacted the female (Ella Jefferson, 65 years old, San Francisco), but no one wished to make a complaint against her. She was found to have a $20,000 warrant for a weapons violation, so she was booked into the Santa Rita Jail for the warrant.
An officer responded to the North Berkeley Station for a report of a male (David, McDonald, 29 years, Richmond) disturbing the peace at the station. Officers detained McDonald and determined he was too intoxicated to care for himself. A records check the male was in violation of a court order and he was booked for the listed charges.
A witness reported a male suspect stealing a bike. Officers detained the man nearby. Record checks showed that the man had an outstanding $20,000 arrest warrant for theft, held by Lakeport PD. Burglary tools and quantities of suspected heroin and methamphetamine packaged for sale were found on his person. The man was issued a prohibition order and he was booked at the Berkeley Jail.
A female victim reported that she was sexually battered by a male suspect while on the train at some point between the Richmond and North Berkeley Stations. The male (BM, 20s, 5'6", unknown colored hoodie) fled out of the train and out of the North Berkeley Station and was not located.
Patrons reported a male creating a disturbance on the train. Berkeley PD officers arrived first and determined that no one wished to make a complaint, but that the suspect had a $15,000 and a $5,000 warrant for trespassing. The male was turned over to BART officers and booked into the Santa Rita Jail for the warrants.
A victim reported that their vehicle was burglarized while parked in the lot between 1900-2245 hours. The unknown suspect entered the vehicle via door lock cheat and ransacked the interior, taking a jacket, phone charger, keys and a portable DVD player.
