Patrons on board the Millbrae bound train reported that a black male in his 50's appeared to be foaming at the mouth and might not be breathing. Officers intercepted the train and located the man, who was unresponsive. Paramedics removed the man from the train and performed CPR on the platform for about 30 minutes before pronouncing the man deceased. The SF Medical Examiner responded, but was unable to identify the man. There were no indications of foul play, and it appears that the man suffered some sort of medical emergency. The incident train was delayed for about 27 minutes.
Per San Francisco Police Officers, trains were held out of the station as they searched for a male suspect who was said to have been involved in an armed robbery on a city street. The suspect was reportedly on the #1 trackway and headed toward the Embarcadero Station. A combination of BART and San Francisco Police officers searched both trackways between the Montgomery and Embarcadero stations, but did not locate the suspect; two other involved suspects were detained, and a handgun recovered, by San Francisco Police Officers in their jurisdiction. Trains were delayed for approximately 45 minutes. TSOC notified (“Jeff”).
A male patron reported that a group of teenage suspects took his phone while on the train, and then ran from the station out the Post Street exit. The suspects were described as three black males and two black females. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspects in the area and the phone was not equipped with tracking.
A station agent reported that an adult male suspect slapped him in the chest. The suspect left, but was located by responding officers and the station agent identified him as the responsible party. The suspect then resisted arrest and had to be physically restrained. He was issued a prohibition order before being booked for the listed charges. No one requested medical attention as a result of the suspect's actions.
Officers responded to the station regarding reports of an explosion on track way 2. Subsequently it was determined a track way insulator had exploded, and no act of sabotage and/crime had occurred. The station was evacuated and eventually closed for the evening as track repair crews responded, while trains single-tracked past the station for the remainder of revenue hours. No injuries were reported by any patrons or employees. L10/L22
10-31-16, 1730 hours While on a Dublin bound train at the Montgomery Station a victim and suspect got into a verbal altercation. The dispute turned physical and the victim suffered a severe injury to his left eye area and behind his left ear. The victim was transported to Highland Hospital and the suspect was transported to the SF County Jail.
Officers detained a male suspect for reportedly disturbing the station agent. A subsequent wants/warrants check of the suspect revealed an active stay away order prohibiting him from BART property. The suspect was then placed under arrest for violating the order and booked into the San Mateo County jail. The station agent did not wish to pursue a complaint against the suspect.
Officers came in contact with the suspect during a fare dispute with the station agent. The suspect provided identification to the officers who conducted a records check. The check revealed an outstanding no bail warrant held by the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office for theft. The suspect was placed under arrest for the warrant and booked into the SF Jail.
Officers contacted an adult male for blocking free movement and discovered that he had a no bail warrant for theft. The male was issued a warning citation for the blocking violation and booked into the San Francisco County Jail for the warrant.
A female victim reported that while aboard a Dublin-bound train arriving at the station an unknown race male, wearing a black hoodie, snatched her black iPhone 6 from her hands and fled towards the concourse level of the station. Officers responded and unsuccessfully searched for the suspect, who is further described as 5’6” tall - with a slender build. The cell phone was not trackable as it was shut down shortly after the theft. The victim was not injured. Train and station video was requested.
1608-0868, 1400 hours Officers located a male sleeping on the floor and blocking free movement at the Montgomery Station. A records check showed the male had $36,000 in arrest warrants issued by SFPD. The male was placed under arrest on the warrants and was issued a citation for blocking free movement.
Officers responded to a possible disturbance call at the Montgomery Station. A female and male were in a disagreement and the female was requesting police assistance. Officers arrived, detained the couple and determined the male had a 150,00 warrant issued by SFPD. The male was booked into the San Francisco County Jail. 1608- 0875 L22
The station agent called for officers to check on a male who was swinging his arms around and looking menacing in the station. Officers conducted a welfare check on the male and discovered that he had a $7,500 warrant for assault with a deadly weapon and child abuse. No one wished to make a complaint against the male for the original call, so he was booked into the San Francisco County Jail for the warrant.
A female victim reported that she was on a Pittsburg train approaching Montgomery when a Black male, late teens early twenties, skinny build, wearing black shirt and black pants snatched her Iphone 5s from her hands and fled from the train. Another good Samaritan intervened by tackling the suspect and was able to recover the victim’s Iphone 5s. The victim did not request medical attention and reported this incident about one hour after it occurred.

A BART employee reported a male creating a disturbance at the station. Officers contacted the male and discovered that he had a $26,000 warrant for providing false identifying information to an officer. No one wished to make a complaint for the disturbance, so the male was booked into the San Francisco County Jail for the warrant.
Officers contacted an adult male for blocking free movement and discovered that he had a $10,000 warrant for narcotics. The male was issued a warning citation for the blocking violation and booked into the San Francisco County Jail for the warrant.
A victim reported her iPhone 6S Plus was taken from her while aboard a Richmond bound train at the Montgomery Station. The suspect grabbed her phone and fled from the train before the doors closed. Train video was requested.
Officers on routine patrol observed the suspect staggering on her feet while on the platform. The officers made contact with the suspect and determined that she was too intoxicated to care for herself. The officers placed the suspect under arrest for public intoxication. As the officers were escorting the suspect out of the station, she began to violently resist by kicking at the officers. The suspect was eventually placed into the WRAP as she attempted to kick out the rear window of a patrol car. The suspect will be booked into the SF Jail for public intoxication. There were no injuries to the officers or the suspect. A sergeant responded to conduct the use of force investigation.
A sergeant was boarding a train at the station when passengers called out to him to report a fight on the train. The sergeant located the involved parties, who had stopped fighting. A witness and the victim reported that the suspect pushed and threatened the victim. When the victim pushed the suspect away, the suspect brandished a knife at the victim and threatened to cut him. The sergeant recovered a knife from the suspect. The suspect was interviewed before being placed under citizen's arrest for battery and brandishing a knife. He was issued a prohibition order and booked into the San Francisco County Jail for battery and brandishing a knife.
A male victim reported that while asleep aboard a Millbrae train arriving at the station, a Black male in his late teens – early twenties grabbed the victim’s iPhone from his hands and fled from the train. The victim awoke and chased after the suspect but then lost sight of him. The victim further described the suspect as: 5’8” tall; 170 lbs.; wearing a green shirt, blue jeans and carrying a brown back pack. Officers were unable to track the victim’s cell phone. Video was requested.
A victim was off boarding a train when a female suspect bumped into her. A witness told the victim that the suspect had taken her wallet from her bag. The victim followed the suspect and officers were flagged down and contacted the suspect. The suspect had dropped the wallet (recovered at the scene), but she was found to be in possession of the victim's $60. The suspect was identified by witnesses and placed under citizen's arrest for theft from a person. She was booked into the San Francisco County Jail for the theft.
