Deshawn Evans (22 years old, San Francisco) was arrested for 369i(b) P.C., 640(d)(4) P.C. and 11364 H&S at the Montgomery Station. Evans was booked at the San Francisco County Jail.
A 51-year-old female patron fell down the escalator. Paramedics responded and pronounced the woman deceased. There does not appear to be any evidence of foul play. Detectives and ID Technicians were notified. The Coroner's Office responded, conducted their investigation and took custody of the body.
At 1054 hours, Train Central advised a man was under a train on trackway #2 of the Montgomery Station. SF Fire, BART PD and BART Transportation responded to the station. The man was removed at 1125 hours and transported to an area hospital. BART PD is handling the investigation and train service was restored at noon. Based on station video, no foul play involved.
Patrons reported a male attacking another male after trying to take the victim's cell phone. Officers located the suspect after he tried to leave the area and he was identified by the victim. The suspect (Reuben Mitchell, 27 years, Oakland) had an $80,000 warrant for assault and a $5,000 warrant for violation of a court order. He was issued a prohibition order and booked into the San Francisco County Jail for attempted robbery and the warrants. The victim sustained minor injuries.
Officers responded to the Montgomery Station for a report of a male (Anthony Rivens, 62 years, San Francisco) creating a disturbance. Rivens was detained and a records check revealed a 7K arrest warrant issued by SFPD. Rivens was booked into the San Francisco County Jail.
A patron reported that a male suspect snatched his iPhone and fled from the train. The suspect was described as a black male, 5'10" tall, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt. The suspect fled to the street and was not located by responding officers.
A male victim reported that two male suspects (BM juveniles, one wearing a white hoodie) held him down while they took his laptop computer and ran out of the train and out of the station. The suspects were not located.
While aboard a Dublin-bound train at the station, a black male suspect suddenly snatched the victim’s iPhone 6-plus and ran from train. The victim was not injured, and the investigating officer was unable to track the phone, nor locate the suspect. Station and train video will be requested.
Officers responded to the station on a report of a Black male, 6’, wearing a gray hoodie and black pants, who was on the track way. Upon the arrival of officers, the suspect was no longer on the track way. During the detention, the suspect attempted to back away, forcing officers to grab him. The suspect resisted the officers and was eventually placed into handcuffs. The suspect provided a false name to the officers before providing his true name. The suspect was later booked into the San Francisco Jail on the above listed charges. Officers were unable to locate a witness to the original complaint.
A female victim reported that a male suspect (BM, 15 years, black beanie, black clothing, with multiple other subjects) grabbed her purse while on the train. The suspect fled off of the train and was not located. The purse was recovered on the platform. Train/station video will be requested.
