An officer and a sergeant were conducting a patrol check of the platform at the station when they observed a male subject who appeared to be looking for his dropped cellular telephone. When the officers went to assist, another passenger directed them to another male who reportedly slapped the phone out of the hand of the male they had seen looking for his phone on the platform. The officers went to detain the male subject who initially didn’t comply with their verbal commands and in fact threw suspected marijuana onto the nearby escalator. When the officer and sergeant grabbed onto his arms, he physically resisted their attempts to place him into handcuffs. The officers pulled the male onto the ground and eventually secured him in handcuffs. Once handcuffed, the subject stopped physically resisting and the officers were able to conduct their investigation. The officers determined the male had battered the other passenger who wished to place him under arrest for the battery. The male subject was transported and booked into Glenn Dyer jail.
The victim reported that while aboard a San Francisco bound train, an unknown race male snatched her iPhone 7 and fled from the train, towards the station’s concourse level. Officers responded, but were unable to locate the suspect or track the phone. The victim was not injured. An officer will request station/train video.
Witnesses reported that a male and female were involved in a physical fight at the station. Officers responded and detained both parties, after a brief struggle. The parties were involved in a dating relationship and both were arrested for domestic violence, battery on officers and resisting arrest. The male was booked at Santa Rita Jail. The female was medically cleared at Highland Hospital before being booked.
A female suspect detained by an officer for creating a disturbance was found to have an outstanding “no bail” theft warrant for her arrest. She was placed under arrest without incident and then booked into the county jail.
Officers detained a subject who was loitering in the station. The subject had a warrant for his arrest. Incident to arrest, subject was in possession of burglary tools and a confirmed stolen license plate. Subject was taken to North County jail for the above violations.
Officers detained a male suspect for fare evasion. The suspect attempted to run away, but was detained after a brief struggle. The man was arrested for resisting/obstructing and was booked at Glenn Dyer Jail.
A victim reported the theft of their black GMC Denali 27-speed road bike from the bike racks. The bike was secured with a cable lock at 1300 hours and when the victim returned at 2110 hours, the bike and lock were gone.
An officer was dispatched to a call of a subject creating a disturbance on a train. The officer detained the subject and found that he had a stay away order from all BART stations. The subject was arrested for the court order violation and booked at the jail for booking.
A male victim reported that he saw a group of about five suspects (Black male juveniles) walking through the train cars. At the MacArthur Station, one of the suspects grabbed his iPhone 7 form his hand and all of the juveniles fled out of the train and on to 40th Street. The victim gave chase and one of the suspects punched him in the face, causing some swelling. The suspects were not located by responding officers and they were not able to track the phone. The victim declined medical attention. Station/train video will be requested.
A patron reported that an unknown race male suspect stole her purse while the train was stopped at MacArthur Station. The suspect fled from the station. The victim remained on the train and reported the theft at Montgomery Street Station.
Officers responded to the station to investigate a report of a suspicious person in the parking structure. Officers located the suspect and determined that the suspect was on probation for theft and was in possession of narcotics, burglary tools and items which were reported stolen. The suspect was arrested and booked for resisting arrest, violation of probation, possession of narcotics paraphernalia, possession of burglary tools and possession of stolen bank checks.
Officers detained an adult male for petty theft. The handcuffed suspect attempted to walk away during the lawful detention so the officer used reasonable force to subdue him. The sergeant responded to the scene to approve the arrest and to perform the use of force investigation. The suspect was booked into the Glen Dyer jail for shoplifting and resisting arrest.
A victim reported that their vehicle was burglarized while parked on the top level of the parking structure between 1800 hours on 2/2 and 0425 hours on 2/3. The driver's window was smashed to gain entry and some prescription medication was stolen.
An officer responded to the station’s parking structure, 3rd level, regarding the report of a 2008 Subaru Outback with its front passenger window smashed. The officer processed the vehicle for latent prints, but was unable to determine any potential loss incurred as a result of the burglary. The officer left a business card requesting contact from the vehicle’s owner to establish a time frame, loss, etc.
Officers detained a male suspect for fare evasion. Record checks showed that the man had an outstanding no-bail arrest warrant for criminal threats, held by Richmond PD. The man was arrested and booked at Glenn Dyer Jail.
An officer contacted an adult male for fare evasion and discovered that he had a $10,000 warrant for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The male was issued a warning citation for fare evasion and booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail for the warrant.
