Officers detained a male (Benjamin SEWALL, 28, Oakland) for fare evasion. Record checks showed that Sewall had an outstanding $5,000 arrest warrant for possession of narcotics paraphernalia, held by SFPD. Sewall was arrested on his warrant. Incident to arrest, quantities of suspected methamphetamine and heroin were found on his person. Sewall was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
A victim reported that a male suspect struck him in the leg with a metal pipe, in an unprovoked attack. The man was detained and positively identified. The suspect was ultimately arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. The victim's injuries did not require medical attention. The suspect was issued a prohibition order and was booked at Glenn Dyer Jail.
A patron reported to the agent that an adult female (McMillion, Cherrelle 28, Oakland) with two small children appeared to be intoxicated and abusing the children, ages 9 and 22 months. The patron reported that the suspect had backhanded the 9 year old and pushed the 22 month old. Officers arrived and arrested the suspect on the platform. The 9 year old had redness to her head and neck as a result of being punched and slapped by the suspect. Medical was called to the scene to examine both children. Family members of the children were contacted who responded to take custody of the children. Child Protective Services was also notified and have initiated their investigation. The suspect was booked into the Santa Rita Jail on the above listed charges.
A female, Victoria CARTER (51 years old, Oakland) was contacted for creating a disturbance at the station. An officer determined CARTER had been drinking and was unable to care for herself. CARTER was taken into custody and booked into Santa Rita jail. 1708-1639 L15.

A female victim reported that a male juvenile grabbed her cell phone from her hand and ran off the train with three other males. Officers located two juveniles near the station and detained them. The victim could not identify them as being involved in the crime. The other two suspects were not located. A search of the area revealed the victim's phone nearby. The victim was not injured. The detained males were identified and ultimately released to their parents.
A patron reported that their 2007 Nissan Altima was burglarized while parked in stall #109, between 7/23/17 at 1700 hours, to today at 1930 hours. An unknown suspect broke the sunroof to gain entry and ransacked the interior. The owner could not identify any loss.
A suspect snatched a Victim's hand aboard a Pittsburg bound bound train and fled from the MacArthur Station. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect was described as a Black female, 20's, lighter complexion, 506 and wearing a black hoodie.
An officer and a sergeant were conducting a patrol check of the platform at the station when they observed a male subject who appeared to be looking for his dropped cellular telephone. When the officers went to assist, another passenger directed them to another male who reportedly slapped the phone out of the hand of the male they had seen looking for his phone on the platform. The officers went to detain the male subject who initially didn’t comply with their verbal commands and in fact threw suspected marijuana onto the nearby escalator. When the officer and sergeant grabbed onto his arms, he physically resisted their attempts to place him into handcuffs. The officers pulled the male onto the ground and eventually secured him in handcuffs. Once handcuffed, the subject stopped physically resisting and the officers were able to conduct their investigation. The officers determined the male had battered the other passenger who wished to place him under arrest for the battery. The male subject was transported and booked into Glenn Dyer jail.
The victim reported that while aboard a San Francisco bound train, an unknown race male snatched her iPhone 7 and fled from the train, towards the station’s concourse level. Officers responded, but were unable to locate the suspect or track the phone. The victim was not injured. An officer will request station/train video.
Witnesses reported that a male and female were involved in a physical fight at the station. Officers responded and detained both parties, after a brief struggle. The parties were involved in a dating relationship and both were arrested for domestic violence, battery on officers and resisting arrest. The male was booked at Santa Rita Jail. The female was medically cleared at Highland Hospital before being booked.
