A victim reported that their vehicle was burglarized while parked in lot A between 1500-2315 hours. The driver's window was smashed to gain entry and the interior was ransacked, but the victim reported no property loss.
A patron reported that their blue 1994 Toyota Corolla was burglarized while parked in lot "A", between 0924-2005. An unknown suspect stole about $30 in cash from the interior and damaged the ignition.
A victim was aboard a train when her backpack, containing her laptop, was taken from her. Responding officers located three possible suspects and detained them. Part of the victim's property was located and the suspects were placed under arrest.
A female victim was robbed of her cell phone while in the station plaza. The suspects were only described as a black male and two black females. The suspects fled westbound on 9th Street and were not located by responding officers. The phone could not be tracked.
Patrons on board the Richmond bound train reported that 40-50 teenagers were fighting on board the train. Officers responded and restored order. One juvenile was found the be a missing person/runaway, out of Turlock PD. The runaway was medically treated for an injury he received in a fight with an unknown person and was then returned to his group home. The train was delayed about 5 minutes as a result of this incident.
The suspect battered an on-duty station agent. Officers attempted to detain the suspect but the suspect would not comply. Force was used to take the suspect into custody. Subsequently, the suspect was taken to John George Psychiatric hospital with a criminal hold for the above listed charge and issued a prohibition order. The sergeant responded to approve the arrest and conduct the use of force investigation. Video requested.
A victim reported the theft of his Nishiki road bike from the Lake Merritt Station. The theft occurred on 3/1/17 between 0845-1830 hours. Loss was reported at $600. The bike was secured to a bike rack with a cable lock. An officer took the phone report.
Officers detained a male suspect for reportedly battering a passenger aboard a train. During the detention, officers learned there were two outstanding warrants for the suspect’s arrest (a $25K weapons violation/criminal threats warrant & a “no bail” weapons violation warrant). The suspect was placed under arrest for the warrants without incident, and then booked into the county. The victim of the battery did not wish to pursue a complaint against the suspect.
2-27-17, 1436 hours BART Officers detained a suspect for fare evasion. The suspect then fled on foot and the Officers had to chase the suspect in order to prevent his escape. The suspect was apprehended a few blocks from the station and transported to the Glynn Dyer Jail.
Officers were dispatched to intercept a Fremont bound for report of a female brandishing a knife at a patron and making threats. Officers located the suspect on the train and a records check showed she had two arrest warrants. The knife was recovered from under a seat. The suspect was searched and property from a robbery victim was located in the suspect's possession. Detectives were notified and they interviewed the suspect regarding the robbery. The suspect confessed to robbing a patron at the Coliseum Station in December. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked for the listed offenses.
A passenger reported that a male suspect (BM, 18 years, black jacket, black striped pants) grabbed their laptop computer from their hand and fled out of the station. The victim was not injured. The suspect was not located. Video will be requested.
While on patrol, officers observed and detained a subject for fare evasion. A wants check revealed that the subject had a no bail $50k warrant charging robbery issued from the Palo Alto Police Department. The subject was arrested and booked into the North County Jail for his warrant.
Patrons on board the Dublin bound train reported that a black male suspect was walking through the train with no shirt on, acting erratically. Officers intercepted the train and located the man. Record checks showed that he had two outstanding $5,000 arrest warrants for narcotics violations, held by the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. The man was arrested for his warrants and was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
2-11-17, 1444 hours A male fare evaded. The subsequent investigation by BART Officers resulted in the suspect being arrested for a 25K warrant for indecent exposure out of San Jose State PD. Suspect was booked at the Glynn Dyer Jail.
An officer attempted to detain a female suspect for fare evasion, but she refused to cooperate by walking away from the officer. The officer then used physical force to restrain the suspect, during which she kicked and spat upon the officer. The on-duty watch commander responded as well and assisted in handcuffing the suspect, along with the assistance of a Good Samaritan. Assisting officers then arrived, followed by two sergeants. Firefighters and paramedics responded in order to tend to the suspect, but she refused medical assistance; the officer did not require medical attention. Subsequently, the suspect was issued a prohibition order and booked into the county jail for battering the officer and resisting arrest.
Officers intercepted a train that was held at the Lake Merritt Station for a report of a male attempting to stab two victims. Officers located the suspect and detained him. After making suicidal statements, the suspect was placed on an emergency psychological detention, with criminal charges pending. A prohibition order was issued to the suspect.

The interiors were ransacked, but the owners could not identify any loss.
An adult male suspect was detained for fare evasion. A records check revealed two felony no-bail warrants, one held by the California Department of Corrections for a parole violation, and the other held by Solano County SO for robbery. The suspect was placed under arrest for the warrants and booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail.
