An unknown subject made the threat of a bomb in the BART system. A check of the system was negative.
An elderly man riding the train with his bicycle had fallen asleep, not realizing the bicycle had bumped another patron. That subject became angry and suddenly punched the man in the face/eye, then fled the train. Officers were unable to locate the suspect. The victim was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
A woman was robbed of her purse and eventually her automobile in parking lot "A" of the station by a male in his 20's who was armed with a handgun. Oakland Police later spotted the vehicle and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The chase ended when the suspect crashed. The suspect was captured, taken to a local hospital for treatment, and later booked on charges of robbery, carjacking, and felony evasion. The handgun used in the offense was recovered by OPD.
A patron was assaulted and battered by three subjects who the former prevented from taking property off of a sleeping passenger on a train. The suspects, who fled Lake Merritt station, were apprehended near 14th and Broadway. The victim was unable to make a positive identification, but one of the suspects (all juvenile males), was arrested and booked into juvenile hall on a no-bail warrant charging auto theft.
A female patron reported that an adult male brandished a knife to her in a threatening manner at the corner of 8th and Oak Streets. The suspect was taken into custody and positively identified by the victim. The investigation determined that the suspect was in need of psychiatric care and was subsequently committed for same.
An adult male was arrested and booked for striking a station agent in an incident over a fare dispute. The agent sustained no injury.
A BART employee witnessed a male and female engaged in an argument in the parking lot. The witness was able to see that the male had a handgun tucked in his waistband. Responding officers located the suspect a block from the station and took him into custody without incident. The handgun, which was loaded, was recovered. The suspect was booked for being in possession of a loaded firearm in addition to a $10,000 warrant out of Berkeley for battery.
A welfare check on an adult female for possibly being under the influence of an alcoholic beverage resulted in her arrest and booking on an outstanding drug violation warrant out of Los Angeles County.

A patron on board a Daly City bound train was robbed of cash by an adult male who snatched the money from his possession as he was counting it. The suspect, who displayed a menacing and threatening demeanor when confronted by the victim, was apprehended on the platform and booked for robbery.

He escaped by off-boarding at Lake Merritt station and was not located. A weapon was not observed, and the victim was not injured.
