A victim reported that they locked their bicycle at the Lake Merritt Station on 8/18/17 at 1630 hours. The bicycle was secured with cable lock. The victim returned on 8/21/17 at 0755 hours to find their bicycle gone.
Officers were monitoring the fare gates for fare evaders at the Lake Merritt Station and stopped a male (Alexander Taylor, 33 years old, Berkeley) for fare evading through the fare gates. A warrant check revealed Taylor had two warrants totaling $75K. Taylor was cited for fare evasion and was booked on the warrants at Glenn Dyer Jail.
Officers were dispatched to a report of a subject smoking on a train. The officers made contact with the suspect in question, and a wants check revealed that he had an outstanding felony no bail warrant for his arrest for narcotics issued out of SFPD. The suspect was arrested and is to be booked into the SF County Jail after being medically cleared for a pre-existing condition.
Officers detained a subject for fare evasion. Subject refused to give true name for approximately 80 minutes. Eventually officers identified the subject. Subject was issued a citation for fare evasion and booked at jail for the false identification to a peace officer.
An officer detained the suspect for fare evasion. A records check revealed an outstanding $100,000 warrant for a probation violation. The suspect was placed under arrest for the warrant. The suspect was booked into the Santa Rita Jail on the warrant and issued a citation for fare evasion.
An officer responded to the station agent’s booth to meet with a female victim who reported a male subject who had off-boarded from a train had reached under her skirt to grab her buttocks. The female described the person as being a Black male adult, 6’, medium build, with a short buzz cut, wearing a light blue t-shirt and dark jeans. The male suspect fled out of the station via the 8th Street stairwell. An area check was conducted and the suspect was not located. L15
An officer detained a male suspect for reportedly stealing a bicycle part. A witness positively identified the suspect as the responsible, and he was placed under arrest for theft. A criminal history check of the suspect also revealed he was on active parole for robbery conviction. The suspect was eventually booked into the county jail for theft and violating the terms of his parole.
A male suspect physically resisted officers’ efforts to detain him for creating a disturbance. Before being restrained in handcuffs, the suspect battered one officer and threatened to shoot the (3) officers; he was found not to be in possession of a weapon. A sergeant responded to approve the arrest and perform the use of force investigation. The suspect was then issued a prohibition order and booked into the county jail for battering the officer, making criminal threats and for violating the terms of his criminal threats-related probation. One officer sustained a minor injury, but did not require further medical attention.
A male victim reported that a female suspect (BF, blonde hair, mini skirt) argued with him over a power outlet on the train. When the male leaned down to point out the outlet, she female struck him in the head with a screwdriver, causing a 1" laceration. The female then tried to flee, but patrons tried to detain her. She was able to break free and fled out of the station. She was not located. Medical aid was summoned for the victim, but he refused treatment and left the area. A victim reported that their vehicle was burglarized while parked in lot A between 1500-2315 hours. The driver's window was smashed to gain entry and the interior was ransacked, but the victim reported no property loss.
A patron reported that their blue 1994 Toyota Corolla was burglarized while parked in lot "A", between 0924-2005. An unknown suspect stole about $30 in cash from the interior and damaged the ignition.
A victim was aboard a train when her backpack, containing her laptop, was taken from her. Responding officers located three possible suspects and detained them. Part of the victim's property was located and the suspects were placed under arrest.
A female victim was robbed of her cell phone while in the station plaza. The suspects were only described as a black male and two black females. The suspects fled westbound on 9th Street and were not located by responding officers. The phone could not be tracked.
Patrons on board the Richmond bound train reported that 40-50 teenagers were fighting on board the train. Officers responded and restored order. One juvenile was found the be a missing person/runaway, out of Turlock PD. The runaway was medically treated for an injury he received in a fight with an unknown person and was then returned to his group home. The train was delayed about 5 minutes as a result of this incident.
The suspect battered an on-duty station agent. Officers attempted to detain the suspect but the suspect would not comply. Force was used to take the suspect into custody. Subsequently, the suspect was taken to John George Psychiatric hospital with a criminal hold for the above listed charge and issued a prohibition order. The sergeant responded to approve the arrest and conduct the use of force investigation. Video requested.
