Witnesses reported that a male suspect had struck a female passenger without provocation, on a Daly City bound train. Other passengers detained the man until officers arrived. The man was found to be on probation for battery. He was arrested for battery on a transit passenger and probation violation. He was issued a prohibition order and was transported to John George Pavilion for psychiatric evaluation, with a criminal hold. The victim was not injured.

Officers detained a female (Sabrina Whitlock, 56 years old, Oakland) for fare evasion at the Lake Merritt BART Station. Whitlock initially falsely identified herself to officers. Whitlock was arrested for the outstanding warrant, providing false identification, and violation of a court order. Whitlock was booked into Santa Rita County Jail.

A victim reported her necklace was stolen while aboard a Daly City bound train that was stopped at Fruitvale. The suspect (Alan Salneron, 19 years, Oakland) stayed on the train and officers intercepted the train at Lake Merritt. Salneron was located on the train and after a short foot pursuit, was taken into custody. The victim positively identified Salneron and her necklace was recovered. Salneron was booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail.

The stick was determined to be a billy club, so the male (Henry Coots, 37 years old, Frankfort, Kentucky) was arrested for the weapons possession charge and booked into the Santa Rita Jail.

A male suspect physically resisted officers’ efforts to detain him for creating a disturbance. Before being restrained in handcuffs, the suspect battered one officer and threatened to shoot the (3) officers; he was found not to be in possession of a weapon. A sergeant responded to approve the arrest and perform the use of force investigation. The suspect was then issued a prohibition order and booked into the county jail for battering the officer, making criminal threats and for violating the terms of his criminal threats-related probation. One officer sustained a minor injury, but did not require further medical attention.
