A victim reported the theft of their catalytic converter from their 2005 Honda Element while parked at the Lafayette Station, between 0600-1620 hours.
A victim reported the theft of their maroon 2004 Ford F250 truck while it was parked at the station, stall 528, between 1250 and 2159 hours. An officer responded to take the report.
A male fare evaded to exit at the Lafayette Station and was detained by an officer. A records check showed the male had a $50,000 warrant issued by Contra Costa County Sheriff's Department. The male was placed under arrest on the warrant and cited for fare evasion.
A passenger called in to report a male masturbating on the train. An officer intercepted the train and recognized the suspect as having a stay away order from all of BART. No one wished to make a complaint against the suspect, who was found to be in the system without a ticket and in violation of the stay away order. The male was issued a citation for fare evasion and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for the court order violation.
A victim reported the theft of their light blue "Liv" brand bicycle from the bike racks. The bike was secured with a cable lock and was taken sometime between 1500-1700 hours.
Patrons called to report a male suspect carrying a bottle of alcohol and getting onto the tracks at the station. The male was located on camera and was seen dancing on the platform and entering the track way before getting back on the platform. A sergeant and officer arrived and contacted the male, who was determined to be too intoxicated to care for himself. The male was taken into custody and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for public intoxication.
A victim reported that their vehicle was burglarized and had the car battery taken and also had the steering column tampered with. The vehicle was parked in stall # 131 between 1000-1530 hours.
The victim reported the theft of two bikes, both men's Specialized 24 speed, one black with grey lettering, and the other orange in color. Both bikes were reportedly taken between the hours of 1500 on 10/1 and 2400, today's date. Both bikes, valued at $900 each, and secured with a cable lock.
An officer responded to the station regarding a white male with a long gray beard, wearing a red/white Santa Clause hat and a yellow shirt, placing offensive fliers on vehicles in the station’s reserve parking lot and threatening the reporting party/victim. On his arrival, the officer located the fliers which contained anti-Semitic statements; the suspect and the victim, however, were no longer at the station when the officer arrived. The officer removed the fliers from the remaining vehicles in the lot and then made telephone contact with the victim, who reported contacting the suspect after observing him placing the fliers on vehicles, including the victim’s. On being contacted by the victim, the suspect directed an anti-Semitic remark toward, and threatened to kill, the victim. During their confrontation, the victim managed to photograph both the suspect and his vehicle - a gray Mazda truck – in which he eventually fled on Happy Valley Road. A victim reported a suspect entered their 2016 Chevy Express van and damaged the ignition when they attempted to steal the van while it was parked at the Lafayette Station, between 0445-1600 hours.

A patron reported that their green Trek men's bicycle, valued at $70.00, was stolen while cable locked at the station between 0915 and 1930 hours. An officer took the report.
Late telephone report. A patron called to report that on 5/6/16 at 07:00, he locked his bicycle in a BikeLink locker at the Lafayette Station. Upon his return on 5/9/16 at 07:00, the patron discovered that the locker was open and the bicycle was missing. There were no signs of forced entry, but the screen on the locker displayed "abandoned". A report was made to BikeLink, but there was no record of removing the patron's bicycle.
A victim reported the theft of his eGo Cycle 2 electric bike from the bicycle racks. The bike was secured with a cable lock at 0830 hours and when the victim returned at 1200 hours, the bike and lock were gone.

The bicycle was secured with kryptonite U Lock and 2 kryptonite chains. The victim returned at 1735 hours to find their bicycle gone. The estimated value of the bike is $500.
