Late telephone report. A patron called to report that on 5/6/16 at 07:00, he locked his bicycle in a BikeLink locker at the Lafayette Station. Upon his return on 5/9/16 at 07:00, the patron discovered that the locker was open and the bicycle was missing. There were no signs of forced entry, but the screen on the locker displayed "abandoned". A report was made to BikeLink, but there was no record of removing the patron's bicycle.
A victim reported the theft of his eGo Cycle 2 electric bike from the bicycle racks. The bike was secured with a cable lock at 0830 hours and when the victim returned at 1200 hours, the bike and lock were gone.
The victim called to report the theft of his yellow men's KHS 21 sp. mountain bike from the south bike racks between the hours of 0850-1800. The bike was secured with a cable and lock. The victim valued the bike at $100. Station video was requested.
A victim reported the theft of their men's Specialized 21 speed hybrid bicycle from the Lafayette Station, between 0800-1950 hours. The bike was secured to the bike racks in the small parking lot with a cable lock.
A victim reported that they locked their bicycle (a Men’s REI Novara Mountain Bike, blue) to the bike racks today at 0745 hours. The bicycle was secured with kryptonite U Lock and 2 kryptonite chains. The victim returned at 1735 hours to find their bicycle gone. The estimated value of the bike is $500.
An officer on viewed a female patron pick up a wallet from the floor of the station and hand the wallet to her male companion. The male went to the platform and the female exited the station. A victim contacted the officer and reported he just lost his wallet at the station. The officer contacted the male who was in possession of the wallet and confirmed it was the victim's. A records check showed the male had a 10K arrest warrant issued by Walnut Creek PD. The female returned and a records check on her showed she had a 5k (no cite) arrest warrant issued by San Mateo County for burglary and possession of a controlled substance. The wallet was returned to the victim and he declined to press charges. The male and female were booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.
A victim reported the theft of their green 2004 Honda Element’s catalytic converter while the vehicle was parked in the far north-east lot, between 0830 and 1730 hours. An officer contacted the victim and completed a report.
Officers responded to the Lafayette Station for a report of a phone theft. The victim recovered the phone prior to the officers arrival. The suspect was detained and a records showed he had a prohibition order prohibition him from BART, The male was placed under arrest and booked at the Martinez detention facility.

A victim reported the theft of their red (unknown name brand) cruiser bike, valued at $400, while it was chain locked at the station between 0800 and 1730 hours. A community service officer contacted the victim and completed a report.
A victim reported that he set up a meeting with an old high school acquaintance to buy his vehicle. Upon meeting the suspect, the suspect accused the victim of trying to give him “fake money.” At one point the suspect brandished a knife, took his money, and fled in a Nissan Maxima or Altima that had a dent on the right side that was being driven by a Black female in her 20’s. The loss was $700 in cash. The victim was uninjured.
A victim reported the theft of their Gary Fisher Mamba bicycle, valued at $600.00, while it was cable locked in the free area of the station between 0900 and 1815 hours. An officer (W. Maloney #149) contacted the victim and completed a report.
