A victim reported the theft of their Gary Fisher Mamba bicycle, valued at $600.00, while it was cable locked in the free area of the station between 0900 and 1815 hours. An officer (W. Maloney #149) contacted the victim and completed a report.
An officer detained a male suspect for reportedly threatening to kill the station agent as he was apparently upset over losing personal property. An independent witness also came forward during this time. The suspect was eventually placed under arrest for criminal threats. A sergeant responded and approved the arrest. The suspect was then issued a prohibition order before being booked into the county jail for criminal threats.
A victim reported that they locked their bicycle (a Trek 18 speed bicycle) to the bike racks today at 0830 hours. The bicycle was secured with two cable locks. The victim returned at 1400 hours to find their bicycle gone. The estimated value of the bike is $500.
A victim reported that their 1998 Acura CI was burglarized while parked at the station between 0630 and 1530 hours; the vehicle’s driver’s door lock was defeated to gain entry. The victim reported $5 in loose change, prescription glasses and miscellaneous papers were taken during the burglary. The investigating officer processed the vehicle for fingerprints.
A victim reported the theft of their Ego electric scooter from the station. The scooter was left at the station (unsecured - no lock) at 0830 hours and when the victim returned at 1245 hours, the scooter was gone.
A victim reported that his vehicle was burglarized while parked in the lot between 0900 hours on 10/30 and 2100 hours on 11/02. He was unable to determine how entry was made, but he reported that a small caliber handgun (.38 caliber) was taken from the locked center console (which was damaged to gain entry). He was unable to provide any identifying information regarding the handgun.
Officers responded to the Lafayette Station for a disturbance aboard a San Francisco bound train that turned into a fist fight. Allegedly a male was smoking marijuana aboard the train and an off-duty Federal Reserve officer told the male to put it out. The two began arguing and then fighting. Officers detained both males on the platform. While on the platform, the male that was smoking began threatening to kill the officer. The male was placed under arrest for battery and criminal threats. The male was issued a prohibition order and was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.
Officers responded to the Lafayette Station for a report of an intoxicated female staggering around the platform. Officers located the female and determined she was too intoxicated to care for herself. The female was not able to walk on her own and had to be assisted from the platform. Officers attempted to locate a family member or a detoxification center to take her to but with negative results. The female was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for public intoxication.
A patron reported that their green 1998 Honda Accord was burglarized while parked in stall #95, between 1415-2340 hours. An unknown suspect used a shaved key to gain entry and stole a black blazer from the trunk.
A victim reported that they locked their Giant men’s mountain bicycle at the station on 10/2/15 at 0730 hours. The bicycle was secured with a cable lock. The victim returned at 1545 hours to find their bicycle gone. The estimated value of the bike is $1000.
A victim reported that they locked two bicycles with one cable lock (a Giant 7 speed mountain bike and a Trek 6 speed mountain bike) at the station on 9/26/15 at 1130hours. The bicycles were secured with a single cable lock. The victim returned at 1700 hours to find their bicycles gone. The estimated value of the bikes is $820.
