Two adults who were driving past the Lafayette BART station stopped in the parking lot due to an argument. During the argument, the female suspect battered and bit the male victim before leaving the victim in the parking lot and driving away. The suspect was not located and officers are conducting follow-up investigation.
Officers responded to a report of as many as eight males in their twenties involved in a fight at the station. Investigating officers determined that two groups of males exchanged words in front of the station which eventually led to a physical altlercation involving two or three of them. Lafayette PD responded to assist due to the size of the crowd and helped stabilize the scene. No arrests were made since no charges were pursued by anyone involved.
An officer located an adult male on board a train at the station who was reported as being suicidal. The officer determined that the subject had overdosed on prescription medication and was in need of immediate medical attention. The subject was transported to the hospital for treatment and placed on a psychiatric hold.
The station and platfom at Lafayette were searched for a male in his 40s-50s who allegedly robbed a bank just blocks from the station. No weapons were seen and the searched yielded negative results.

An adult male victim was using his iphone while aboard a Pittsburg bound train. When the train doors opened at Lafayette Station, a young adult male suspect snatched the victim's phone and fled the station prior to the arrival of responding officers.
The victim of a robbery that occurred in SFPD's jurisdiction yesterday, contacted BPD to inform that a self-proclaimed "good samaritan" contacted her today offering to return her stolen wallet. The caller said he knew who'd stolen her wallet and was willing to meet her at the Lafayette station to return the property in exchange for a reward. A meet was set up, the subject arrived, was detained and eventually arrested for robbery after the victim positively identified him as the perpetrator. The suspect was turned over to SFPD and booked.
Lafayette station and an S.F. train at West Oakland were searched for an adult male in his 50's who was suspected of committing an armed bank robbery in the city of Lafayette. Sweeps at both locations failed to locate the suspect who escaped with $3500.
A revenue-protection guard reported suspicious persons apparently casing vehicles in the parking lot. An adult male and two male juveniles were eventually taken into custody for several auto burglaries. The juveniles were issued citations and released to their mothers. The adult suspect was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility. The appropriate detective was advised that further investigative follow-up will be conducted by patrol officers.
An officer was asked to check the welfare of an adult male who had been in the rest room for an inordinate amount of time. When the male stepped out, the officer observed him holding a pipe, commonly used to smoke crack cocaine. The suspect violently resisted the officer's efforts to detain him, and had to be wrestled to the ground and taken into custody. The suspect was booked on the aforementioned charges.
A Pittsburg-Baypoint train was held for 9 minutes during the investigation of a man-with-a-gun call. A 29-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication. According to other patrons, he'd frightened them with his loud talk of having a gun. No weapon was actually seen by patrons. The suspect was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility and his 4-year-old daughter was released to her mother.
A male passenger was intimidated into giving his cell phone to a 19 year old male who the victim thought would assault him if he did not. The suspect was arrested on board the train at Rockridge station, but the phone was not recovered.
Lafayette PD advised that a Lafayette jewelry store had just been robbed by a suspect with a handgun, and the suspect may have fled to the BART Station. LPD officers checked the Lafayette Station and a train, but the suspect was GOA/UTL.
Officers assisted the Contra Costa County Sheriff's in their search / pursuit of an auto theft suspect. Trains were held out of the station as it was searched for the suspect with negative results.
