A victim reported their 1998 Honda Civic was stolen from the Hayward Station, between 0600-1600 hours.
A victim reported that their vehicle was burglarized while parked int he parking structure between 0815-2200 hours. The right rear wing window was smashed to gain entry and the suspect took some miscellaneous personal items.

BART and Hayward officers detained a male suspect for reportedly battering his girlfriend in the concourse area of the station. An independent witness identified the suspect as the responsible, and he was placed under arrest for domestic violence. The suspect was then issued a prohibition order and served with an emergency protective order before being booked into the county jail. The victim, who sustained minor-to-moderate arm and facial injuries, was transported to a local hospital for further medical treatment. A sergeant responded to supervise the investigation and approve the arrest.
A male suspect detained by officers for fare evasion was also found to be in violation of a stay away order and his criminal probation. The suspect was arrested for the violations, issued a citation for fare evasion and booked into the county jail.

An officer was flagged down regarding a cold auto burglary of a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta located on Level 1 of the parking structure, stall#761. The left rear window was smashed out and door left open. There was no apparent loss. All other doors still locked. Business card left for R/O.
Officers responded to the bus zone at the station on the report of a male subject harassing and threatening people. The officers contacted a male subject who matched the description by a reporting party. A records check revealed an outstanding $25,000 felony arrest warrant out of Alameda County for assault causing great bodily injury. The subject was taken into custody for his outstanding warrant and booked into Santa Rita Jail.
The victim reported that their gray 1997 Acura Integra was burglarized, via left wing window smash, while parked at the station between 1720 hours on 2/19/17 and 0900 hours on 2/20/17. An officer responded to investigate and completed a report.
A victim reported that a male suspect grabbed her laptop and ran out of the train and out of the station. The male suspect (BM, 16-20, 5'6", heavy build, blue jacket with a green windbreaker) fled the area with two other males (BMs, 16-20). Responding officers were not able to locate the suspects. The victim was not injured. Video will be requested.
A patron reported a suspicious person/vehicle at the Hayward Station. A records check revealed the car was reported stolen. An officer stopped the vehicle and placed the male driver under arrest for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of burglary tools and violation of probation. The male was booked into jail.
A suspect who was detained for fare evasion was discovered to be wanted for a $100,000 warrant for burglary out of San Mateo County. The suspect was cited for fare evasion and booked for the warrant.
Officers and firefighters responded to the station regarding reports of a female underneath a train on the #1 trackway. Shortly after their arrival, firefighters were able to extract the female from the trackway; and she was then transported to a local hospital. Two sergeants and community service officers responded to the station. The scene/trackway was processed for evidence, video was requested and a canvass for witnesses was performed. At this point, based upon information gathered by police, the female appears to suffer from mental health issues and will be placed on a psychiatric hold once medically cleared. Train service was delayed by more than one hour as a result of this incident.
An officer located a small bag on the outside ledge of the platform. The placement was suspicious in nature and an explosive detection K-9 indicated that the bag may contain hazardous material, so the bomb squad was called out. The station was closed and trains were not allowed to run through the station. The bomb squad was able to safely remove the bag, x-ray it and determined that it did not contain explosive materials. The station was closed for almost three hours before the item was deemed safe, the station was re-opened and normal train traffic was resumed.
Officers responded to the bus zone of the Hayward Station for a report of a male yelling at patrons. Officers contacted the male and determined he was intoxicated. The male was booked into jail.
The female victim reported that, 20 minutes prior, while in the bus zone a white or Hispanic male suspect snatched her black iPhone 7S from her grasp and fled in an unknown direction; the phone was turned off shortly after the theft and was not trackable. The victim, who was not injured, further described the suspect as wearing a white hoodie and gray or white pants. An officer contacted the victim, requested station video and completed a report.
An officer on routine patrol detained the suspect as he attempted to fare evade from the station. A records check of the suspect revealed that he was on probation for sales of narcotics. The officer exercised the search clause and searched the suspect. As a result of the search, the officer located 86 ecstasy pills and 4 grams of cocaine packaged for sale. The officer also located a large sum of cash in the suspect's possession. The suspect was placed under arrest. The suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Rita Jail for possession for sales and a probation violation. The suspect was also issued a prohibition order. The Narcotics Task Force Officer was notified of the arrest.
