A victim reported the theft of their 1998 Honda Civic from the Hayward Station, between 0652-1630 hours.
The male victim reported that a male suspect, whom he had earlier agreed to transport home, threatened to stab him while displaying a knife and seated in the victim’s vehicle at the station. The suspect eventually stepped out of the vehicle and punctured its tires before being safely detained by officers. According to the victim, the suspect threatened him after he learned he would not be transported home. A search of the suspect after his arrest revealed he was in possession of suspected Cocaine and Methamphetamine; while also determined to be on active probation for assault with a deadly weapon. The suspect was issued a prohibition order and booked into the county for: Criminal threats, vandalism, possession of the controlled substances and probation violation.
The victim reported that their blue 2010 Honda Odyssey van was burglarized while parked in the north lot, adjacent to the parking structure - stall 1406, between 0630 and 1600 hours. The van’s front passenger window was smashed to gain entry and two (unknown name brand/model) bicycles were taken; a $50.00 child’s bicycle and an adult mountain bicycle valued at $400.00. An officer responded to take the report. The victim declined to allow the processing of the van for fingerprints.
A female victim reported that a male suspect (BM, teens, black jacket) grabbed her iPhone 6s Plus form her hand as they were standing in the bus zone. The suspect then fled on foot. The male was not located and the phone could not be tracked. The victim was not injured. Station video will be requested.
A victim reported theft of their blue 2001 Chevrolet Silverado while it was parked in stall 527 between 0515 and 1445 hours. An officer responded to take the report.
Officers responded to the Hayward Station for a report of a battery, but it turned out to be a heated argument between a couple. A records check showed the male half had an arrest warrant for violation of a court order. The male was placed under arrest and booked at Santa Rite Jail.
A victim reported his 1994 Honda Accord was stolen on 12/19/16 from the Hayward Station.
12-19-16 1747 hours 2005 Honda Prelude parked in stall 177 between 0900-1745 hours. Front driver’s side window smash no loss reported.
12-19-16 1620 hours A BART Officer arrested a suspect after conducting an investigation for auto burglary. The suspect is/was on probation for felon in possession of ammo with a search clause. A burglary tool was located on the suspect along with broken glass. The Officer located a 2016 Land Rover that had a window smash. The suspect was transported to Santa Rita.
Officers responded to the Hayward Station for a report of a disturbance. Officers located the two involved parties and one of the individuals had an arrest warrant. The male was placed under arrest and was booked at a local jail.
Officers contacted a female who was sleeping in the station. Once awakened, the female brandished a broken golf club at the officers. They were able to take the golf club from her and attempted to take her into custody. She resisted the arrest and had to be physically restrained. Once in custody, she was found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine and a pipe. She was not injured, but medically cleared by paramedics before being booked into the Santa Rita Jail for the listed charges.
Patrons reported that a small child was with a male and female, who both appeared to be intoxicated. Officers located the couple and determined that both were under the influence. The female was taken to a detox center. The child was turned over to a family member. The male was found to have an outstanding $40,000 arrest warrant for domestic violence, held by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office. The male was arrested and booked at Santa Rita Jail.
A victim reported that they parked their vehicle (a 1995 Honda Accord) at the station on 12/2/16 at 0700 hours. The victim returned today at 0900 hours and found their vehicle gone.
The victim reported the theft of their white 4 door Honda Accord from the first level of the parking structure between the hours of 0730-1810.
The victim's bike, a black and red men's Schwinn 21 sp mountain bike, was stolen from the free area bike racks between the hours of 0740-1800. The bike was secured with a cable and lock. The victim could not provide a serial number and valued the bike at $150.
A victim reported that their vehicle was burglarized and the suspect attempted to take the vehicle as well. A window was smashed to gain entry and damage was done to the ignition in an attempt to take the vehicle. The suspect was not able to take the vehicle, but did take a reciprocating saw from the vehicle. The crime occurred sometime between 0900-1620 hours. The vehicle was processed for evidence.
An officer contacted an adult male for fare evasion and discovered that the male is on probation with a condition to stay away from all BART stations. The male was issued a warning citation for fare evasion and booked into the Santa Rita Jail for the probation violation.
A patron reported that their gray 1996 Acura Integra was stolen from the first level of the parking structure, between 0900-1915 hours.
A patron reported that their black 2002 Toyota Camry was burglarized while parked in stall #428, on the second level of the parking structure, between 0830-1825 hours. An unknown suspect smashed the left rear window to gain entry. The victim could not identify any loss.
An officer contacted an adult male for fare evasion and discovered that the male had a $15,000 warrant for burglary. The male was issued a warning citation for fare evasion and booked into the Santa Rita Jail for the warrant.
A victim reported the theft of their orange (unknown name brand) women’s folding bicycle, valued at $400.00, while it was cable locked at the station’s bicycle racks between 0650 and 1400 hours. An officer contacted the victim and completed a report.

A victim returned to her 2000 Toyota Corolla and a suspect was searching her trunk. Officers responded but the suspect fled the Hayward Station prior to their arrival. No loss.
Witnesses reported that two males were fighting near the station entrance. Officers responded and detained the suspect near the Greyhound station. The victim made a positive identification of the suspect and placed him under citizen's arrest. The victim suffered a lump to his head, but declined medical attention. The suspect was arrested and booked at Santa Rita Jail for battery. The suspect was issued a prohibition order prior to booking.
