A male was arrested for vandalizing a vehicle parked in the lot. The male made several statements regarding harming himself, he was placed on a psychiatric evaluation hold. He will be booked into jail when he is released.
An officer detained a male (Bryan Moore, 36 years, Oakland) for fare evasion at the Fruitvale Station. A records check revealed Moore had a 20K arrest warranr. He was placed under arrest and booked into jail.
Officers detained a male patron for fare evasion. The male became uncooperative and resisted arrest. The male made several suicidal statements and was placed on a psychiatric hold. Upon his release he will be booked into jail for resisting arrest.
Witnesses reported that a male suspect was creating a disturbance and using a knife to damage the train intercom. Officers detained the man (Don STEVENS, 46, San Francisco) and learned that he had an outstanding $50,000 arrest warrant for resisting arrest and trespassing, held by SFPD. No complainants came forward on the vandalism charge. Stevens was booked at Santa Rita Jail on is outstanding warrant.
Two male juvenile suspects snatched a laptop computer from a patron, dropped the property, and then forcibly wrestled it away from the victim a second time, before dropping the property a second time and fleeing. Officers detained both suspects. One was cited to his parent for theft from a person, while the second was booked at juvenile hall for robbery.
A patron reported a male in the company of other males snatched his laptop. Anthony Marshall was identified (21 years old, Richmond) as the person who took the laptop and was arrested for the crime. Breeland Scott (23 years old, Vallejo) was arrested on an outstanding warrant. The laptop was not recovered.
Lazarus Chavez (32 years old, Oakland) was arrested for public intoxication, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia and an illegal knife. Chavez was booked into the Santa Rita Jail.
A patron reported that a black male juvenile, about 13 years old, snatched her iPhone from her hand and fled into the surrounding neighborhood. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspect, and the phone could not be tracked.
Anthony Bassard (35 years of age, Oakland), detained by an officer for suspicious activity while in the station's parking structure, was found to have an outstanding "no bail" burglary and placed under arrest. He was then booked into the county jail for the warrant.
A victim reported that a male suspect grabbed his phone out of his hand and fled the train with another male. After tracking the phone, officers were able to locate two males (adult and juvenile) near the West Oakland Station. One of the males tried to discard a phone, which was determined to be the victim's. The victim identified the juvenile as the person who took his phone. Both males were taken into custody and interviewed. The juvenile stated that the adult (Cal Hobdy, 20 years, Hayward) put him up to taking the phone. The juvenile was booked into juvenile hall for theft from a person. The adult was booked into the Glen Dyer Jail for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, conspiracy and grand theft from a person. The victim was not injured.
A patron reported that a male subject was masturbating at the Fruitvale Station. The male subject was detained and subsequently placed under citizen’s arrest for indecent exposure. It was determined that the male subject was in need of a mental health evaluation. The male subject was transported to John George Pavilion for evaluation. The male subject will be issued a Prohibition Order and booked at the County Jail once medically cleared.
A victim reported that he was knocked to the floor of a train by a suspect who attempted to steal his cell phone. The suspect was described as a black male in his 20's, wearing all black clothing. The victim did not report the incident until he reached El Cerrito del Norte Station.
A victim reported he was attempting to process his fare ticket when a male punched him in the head and took his wallet. The suspect fled from the station and was possibly in the company of another male who did not participate in the robbery. The suspect was described as a Black male, 5'10, wearing a black hat, black jacket, jeans and had a small Pitbull in his possession.
A victim reported that her laptop computer was snatched from her hands by two black male juvenile suspects, who fled from the train. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspects in the area.
Officers detained an adult male (Otilio Martin, 27 years, Oakland) for fare evasion and discovered that he had a valid court order to stay away from all BART stations. He was cited for fare evasion and booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail for violating the court order.
