Officers stopped a male who fare evaded from the Fruitvale Station. A records check showed he had a $31,000 arrest warrant for burglary. The male was cited for fare evasion and was placed under arrest on the warrant.
Officers detained an adult male for fare evasion and subsequently was found to have a stay away order from all BART stations, which was a condition of his probation. The suspect was cited for fare evasion and then booked into the Glen Dyer jail for the stay away order and the probation violation.
Officers detained a male suspect for battering a female station agent with an empty beverage can. Shortly after the station agent placed the suspect under citizen’s arrest for battery, officers learned the he was also on active probation, a portion of which stipulates he must stay away from BART property. Before he could be booked, however, officers determined the suspect posed a danger to others due to mental health issue so paramedics responded in order to transport him to the county’s mental health facility. Prior to taking the suspect to the facility, and at their discretion, paramedics transported the suspect to the county hospital for medical clearance. Once cleared from the hospital, the suspect will be transported to the mental health facility where he will be placed on a police hold as well; he then be booked for battering the station agent and probation violation. The suspect was issued a prohibition order. The station agent was not injured as a result of the battery and declined medical attention. Similarly, the suspect was not injured nor did he complain of any medical issues.
Two male suspects, described as 16-18, 5’06” – 5’08”, both slim, wearing black jackets and jeans, possibly with dreds, snatched the victim’s phone, a gold colored iPhone 6. The victim said that one of the suspects was wearing neon yellow sneakers. The phone was turned off and unable to be tracked. The victim was not injured.
Officers detained a male at the rear of the Fruitvale Station for possible H&S violation which was occurring within a nearby daycare center. The subject had a search clause and resisted the officers and had to be forcibly restrained and handcuffed. A sergeant responded to conduct a Use of Force. The subject was transported and booked into the Santa Rita Jail for resisting arrest, and battery on a peace officer.
A patron reported that their iPhone was snatched from their hand while on a train. The two 17-19 year old black male suspects fled on foot. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspects in the area. The phone could not be tracked.
The male victim reported that while aboard a train at the station, his company’s Apple Macbook laptop was suddenly snatched from his grasp by a black male juvenile who then ran from the train. The victim chased after the suspect for approximately 2-3 blocks, and last saw him near the corner of Fruitvale Ave. and International Blvd. Officers responded, but were unable to locate the suspect. The victim, who was not injured, further described the suspect as wearing a blue hooded-jean jacket and gray pants. The laptop was not readily tracked as the victim attempted to obtain its information from his employer. The investigating officer requested station video.
A female victim reported that a male suspect followed her from the parking lot and grabbed her buttocks and genitals. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 30-40 years old, 5'5" tall, with a heavy build, wearing a dark blue sweatshirt and dark pants. The suspect was last seen walking toward the Fruitvale Village. Officers responded, but did not locate the suspect in the area.
A male suspect detained by an officer for fare evasion was found to have an outstanding $50K battery warrant for his arrest. The officer placed him under arrest for the warrant without incident, and he was then booked into the county jail.

The officer transported the suspect to the local county jail where his identity was not readily confirmed. He was then booked into the jail for not possessing satisfactory identification after being arrested for an infraction.

A male victim reported that a male suspect grabbed his phone as the train was at the Fruitvale Station. The male suspect (BM, 15-18, thin) ran out of the train into the station. A female victim reported that a male suspect grabbed her phone while she was on the platform. The male suspect (BM, 20s, black jacket, red baseball cap) ran out of the station towards 35th Avenue and was not located. The phone could not be tracked. The victim was not injured. A victim made a delayed report that a male suspect (BM, 16-17, 5'10", black hoodie) grabbed her phone and struggled to take it from her. The male then exited the Dublin bound train with a group of juveniles at the Fruitvale Station. The victim was not injured and the phone was not recovered. Train/station video will be requested.
A male suspect was reported to be trying to make entry into parked cars in the Derby Street lot. Officers responded and detained the man. Record checks showed that the man had two outstanding no-bail arrest warrants, for assault with a deadly weapon and making criminal threats, held by the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office. The man was arrested and booked at Glenn Dyer Jail.
A male suspect detained by an officer for fare evasion was found to have two misdemeanor narcotic and battery related warrants, totaling $20K in bail amount, for his arrest. The officer placed the suspect under arrest and then booked him into the county jail.
The male victim reported that while in the small north-east lot, adjacent to the parking structure, he was confronted by four (4) adult black males, one of whom punched him about the face while another displayed a black handgun. The suspects then took $15.00 cash and an unknown name brand flip-phone from the victim before fleeing east-bound on Fruitvale Ave. Officers responded but were unable to locate the suspects. The victim was not injured. Station video was requested.
A male suspect detained for fare evasion by officers falsely identified himself and was placed under arrest. Officers were finally able to positively identify the suspect, who was found to be clear of wants/warrants, and booked him into the county jail for falsely identifying himself to police.
A victim reported that a male suspect took cash from his pants pocket while the victim was at the ticket vending machines. The suspect (BM, 30s, 6', dark beanie, black shirt) ran from the area towards 35th Avenue and was not located. Station video will be requested. The victim was not injured.
A patron reported that their red 2011 Ford Fusion was burglarized while parked in stall #390, between 1600-2259 hours. An unknown suspect smashed the right front window to gain entry and ransacked the interior. The owner could not identify any loss.
