A victim reported that a male suspect grabbed his phone out of his hand and fled the train with another male. After tracking the phone, officers were able to locate two males (adult and juvenile) near the West Oakland Station. One of the males tried to discard a phone, which was determined to be the victim's. The victim identified the juvenile as the person who took his phone. Both males were taken into custody and interviewed. The juvenile stated that the adult (Cal Hobdy, 20 years, Hayward) put him up to taking the phone. The juvenile was booked into juvenile hall for theft from a person. The adult was booked into the Glen Dyer Jail for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, conspiracy and grand theft from a person. The victim was not injured.
A patron reported that a male subject was masturbating at the Fruitvale Station. The male subject was detained and subsequently placed under citizen’s arrest for indecent exposure. It was determined that the male subject was in need of a mental health evaluation. The male subject was transported to John George Pavilion for evaluation. The male subject will be issued a Prohibition Order and booked at the County Jail once medically cleared.
A victim reported that he was knocked to the floor of a train by a suspect who attempted to steal his cell phone. The suspect was described as a black male in his 20's, wearing all black clothing. The victim did not report the incident until he reached El Cerrito del Norte Station.
A victim reported he was attempting to process his fare ticket when a male punched him in the head and took his wallet. The suspect fled from the station and was possibly in the company of another male who did not participate in the robbery. The suspect was described as a Black male, 5'10, wearing a black hat, black jacket, jeans and had a small Pitbull in his possession.
A victim reported that her laptop computer was snatched from her hands by two black male juvenile suspects, who fled from the train. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspects in the area.
Officers detained an adult male (Otilio Martin, 27 years, Oakland) for fare evasion and discovered that he had a valid court order to stay away from all BART stations. He was cited for fare evasion and booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail for violating the court order.
A victim reported her $800 pink and green Bridgestone 550 bicycle was stolen while it was secured with a U-lock at the bike racks between 1800 hours on 11/11/17 to 1300 hours on 11/12/17.
Edward Mena-Chi (31 years old, San Francisco) entered track way between the Lake Merritt Station and the Fruitvale Station and began walking southbound. It was determined that Mena-Chi was under the influence of alcohol and too intoxicated to care for himself. Mena-Chi was arrested for interfering with railroad operations and public intoxication. He was booked at the Santa Rita Jail.
A male victim reported being robbed while standing on the sidewalk near the bus zone by a man who pointed a gun at him and took his wallet. The suspect, who fled from the area, was wearing a hooded sweater with yellow writing in the front. There were no injuries.
A person detained for fare evasion (Roger Mitchell, 46, Oakland) was arrested for violation of a sexual registration court order.
Officers stopped a male (Trevor Woodland, 25 years, Oakland) for fare evasion and force was used to place him under arrest.
Eve Yates (24 years old, Alameda) was detained for fare evasion at the Fruitvale Station. A records check revealed an active felony warrant. Yates was cited for fare evasion and arrested for the warrant. Yates was booked at the Santa Rita Jail.
Officers responded to the Fruitvale BART Station regarding a male breaking into vehicles. Officers contacted a male juvenile who admitted to attempting to steal four vehicles in the parking lot. The juvenile will be transported to Juvenile Hall.
Officers contacted a male for fare evasion. The juvenile falsely identified himself. It was later discovered that the male was a missing person, had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant, and in possession of stolen property that was connected to a robbery from 9/28/17. The juvenile will be transported to Juvenile Hall.
9/29/17 at 0814 hours Officers detained a male (Makisi Aumuatatua) for fare evasion at the Fruitvale BART Station. Aumuatatua falsely identified himself to officers. Aumuatatua was arrested and booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail for giving false information to officers and probation violation. Aumuatatua was transported to Glenn Dyer
Officers detained a male (Fidel Padilla, 37 years old) for vandalizing a train car. A records check revealed he was on active probation. Padilla was arrested for vandalism and probation violation. Padilla was transported and booked into Glenn Dyer Jail for the violations.
Officers stopped a male (Johnny Rogers, 30 years, Berkeley) for fare evasion at the Fruitvale Station. A records check showed Rogers had two no bail arrest warrants for burglary and robbery issued by ACSO. Rogers was cited for fare evasion and was booked on the warrants.
A CSO observed a male (Dontae Warfield, 31 years, Oakland) acting suspiciously inside a parked vehicle at the Fruitvale Station. Officers responded and detained Warfield. Officers determined that Warfield had burglarized the car and possessed burglary tools. Warfield was booked into Glenn Dyer Jail. Detectives were advised of the arrest.
A victim reported her laptop was taken from her while aboard a Dublin bound train that was stopped at the Fruitvale Station. The suspect was described as a Black male, 20 years, 5'11", wearing a grey hoodie with the hood covering his head.
A victim reported a burglary of their 2009 Nissan Rogue while it was parked in the Satellite Lot at the West Oakland Station. The burglary occurred on 9/17/17 between 1300 hours and 1702 hours. Entry was made via a driver's side rear window smash. There was no loss.
A male suspect exposed himself to a victim while inside his vehicle in the parking structure. Officers responded and detained the man. The victim made a citizen's arrest and the man was issued a prohibition order and was booked at Glenn Dyer Jail for indecent exposure.
A CSO discovered a burglarized vehicle (2017 Pontiac Vibe) in the Derby Lot of the Fruitvale Station. The vehicle was processed for evidence and the lot was checked for additional victim vehicles.
