Officers detained a male at the rear of the Fruitvale Station for possible H&S violation which was occurring within a nearby daycare center. The subject had a search clause and resisted the officers and had to be forcibly restrained and handcuffed. A sergeant responded to conduct a Use of Force. The subject was transported and booked into the Santa Rita Jail for resisting arrest, and battery on a peace officer.
A patron reported that their iPhone was snatched from their hand while on a train. The two 17-19 year old black male suspects fled on foot. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspects in the area. The phone could not be tracked.
The male victim reported that while aboard a train at the station, his company’s Apple Macbook laptop was suddenly snatched from his grasp by a black male juvenile who then ran from the train. The victim chased after the suspect for approximately 2-3 blocks, and last saw him near the corner of Fruitvale Ave. and International Blvd. Officers responded, but were unable to locate the suspect. The victim, who was not injured, further described the suspect as wearing a blue hooded-jean jacket and gray pants. The laptop was not readily tracked as the victim attempted to obtain its information from his employer. The investigating officer requested station video.
A female victim reported that a male suspect followed her from the parking lot and grabbed her buttocks and genitals. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 30-40 years old, 5'5" tall, with a heavy build, wearing a dark blue sweatshirt and dark pants. The suspect was last seen walking toward the Fruitvale Village. Officers responded, but did not locate the suspect in the area.

The male then exited the Dublin bound train with a group of juveniles at the Fruitvale Station. The victim was not injured and the phone was not recovered. Train/station video will be requested.
A male suspect was reported to be trying to make entry into parked cars in the Derby Street lot. Officers responded and detained the man. Record checks showed that the man had two outstanding no-bail arrest warrants, for assault with a deadly weapon and making criminal threats, held by the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office. The man was arrested and booked at Glenn Dyer Jail.

The male victim reported that while in the small north-east lot, adjacent to the parking structure, he was confronted by four (4) adult black males, one of whom punched him about the face while another displayed a black handgun. The suspects then took $15.00 cash and an unknown name brand flip-phone from the victim before fleeing east-bound on Fruitvale Ave. Officers responded but were unable to locate the suspects. A patron reported that their red 2011 Ford Fusion was burglarized while parked in stall #390, between 1600-2259 hours. An unknown suspect smashed the right front window to gain entry and ransacked the interior. The owner could not identify any loss.
A male victim reported that he was robbed at gunpoint while on a Fremont bound train at the Fruitvale Station. Two males approached him and asked if he had any marijuana. Suspect #1 (BM, 20-30, 6'3", black clothing) pulled out a silver and black semi-automatic handgun and demanded his property. The male took his Louis Vuitton bag, wallet and belt. The wallet contained his ID and keys. The suspects off boarded and ran out of the station. The victim waited about 45 minutes before reporting the crime. Train/station video will be requested.
The suspect was on a Fremont bound train approaching the station when he approached the victim, who was seated, and demanded his backpack and wallet. The suspect told the victim he had a gun as he held his hands in his jacket pockets. Although no gun was seen, the victim gave the suspect his backpack and wallet. The suspect told the victim to off-board the train and go with him to an ATM in order to get more money. When the victim refused, the suspect threw the backpack back at the victim and off-boarded the train. The victim was not injured. The loss was $30 in cash, a wallet, and the victim’s identification. The victim said he could identify the suspect.
