A victim reported that his vehicle was burglarized while parked in the lot between 0722-1130 hours. The driver's side window was pried to gain entry and the victim's keys were taken. The vehicle was processed for evidence.
The hot dog vendor witnessed the suspect, described as Hispanic or White male, 40's, short, 200 lbs, blk hair, moustache or beard, wearing a gry tank top and black shorts, smash the window to a BART employee's vehicle which was parked near the vendor. The suspect entered the vehicle, but fled into the station moments later. Responding officers checked the station and the holding train for the suspect with negative results. The BART employee confirmed that there was no loss from his vehicle. Station video will be requested.
A victim reported that they locked their bicycle (a KZA 26 inch Men’s mountain bicycle) at the station today at 0900 hours. The bicycle was secured with a U-lock. The victim returned at 1915 hours to find their bicycle gone. The estimated value of the bike is $150.
The victim reported that their red 05' Toyota Corolla was burglarized today while parked in stall #912 between the hours of 0545-1600. Entry was made via a driver's side door cheat, and the victim said the vehicle had been rummaged through. The only reported loss was luggage.
While performing a welfare check of an adult male, an officer determined the male was too intoxicated to care for himself and placed him under arrest. A wants/warrants check of the male also revealed an outstanding $5K public intoxication warrant, held by the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, for his arrest. The male was then booked into the county jail for public intoxication and the warrant.
An officer found a female suspect inside a vehicle which did not belong to her. The officer was unable to establish a crime, but found that the woman was in need of psychiatric care. The woman was transported to John George Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
A male battered a train operator at the Fremont Station when the operator stopped the male from verbally abusing a female. The male was located and detained by an officer. The male was placed under citizen's arrest for battery. The male was booked at the Santa Rita Jail.
A BART Officer detained a male subject for fare evasion. The male was verbally and physically uncooperative. The Officer had to use pepper spray and needed assistance from a Fremont PD Officer in order to take the subject into custody for resisting. A BART Sgt conducted the use of force investigation. The subject was transported to Santa Rita.
Patrons reported that a male suspect was creating a disturbance on a train. The subsequent investigation resulted in the suspect being arrested for public intoxication and for a 25K warrant for DUI. The suspect was transported to the Santa Rita Jail.
A victim reported that they secured their black 21 Speed Schwinn Discovery bicycle (value $180) to the bike rack using a cable with a combo lock. The bicycle was stolen on today's date sometime between 0830-1945 hours.
A female stole food from the food vendor and ran from the Fremont Station. The female returned to the station and argued with the vendor, throwing money at him to pay for the items she took. Officers arrived, detained the female and a records check showed the female had two no bail warrants issued by Santa Clara county for a narcotics violation and a probation violation. The vendor did not press charges for theft. The female was placed under arrest on the warrants and was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
On 6/6/16 at 09:45, a patron secured his bicycle to the bike racks at Fremont Station. Upon the victim's return at 18:38, he discovered that some unknown suspect had taken the seat and a red light from the bicycle and without the victim's permission. There was no suspect located, but video evidence was requested.
An officer recognized an adult male in the station who is known to have a stay away order. The officer confirmed the order and booked the male into the Santa Rita Jail for violation of the court order.
