BART PD officers swept the last revenue train at the Fremont station and off-boarded a 58-year-old male subject who complained about a medical condition. AMR was called and the crew arrived and loaded the subject into their rig. The ambulance crew advised the officers that no further assistance was needed. After the officers left, the subject became combative and the crew called for assistance. Fremont PD officers arrived and were able to handcuff the subject. Minutes later, they found the subject to be unconscious and not breathing. Medical personnel applied CPR and transported the subject to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The investigation continues.
An officer contacted an adult male suspect for fare evasion. The suspect resisted his arrest by attempting to run away and fight the officer. The officer had to use pepper spray to finally subdue him. He was arrested and booked for an outstanding Dept. of Corrections felony warrant. Medical treatment given at scene.
An officer on routine patrol stopped a suspicious vehicle which led to the arrest of both occupants on a number of charges including a warrant arrest on the passenger for a drug violation, possession of stolen U.S. mail, possession of controlled substances.
The Fremont Police Department requested the use of a BPD K-9 in order to examine two suspicious backpacks left just outside of the main building of Kaiser Hospital. One of the backpacks had threatening words written on it suggesting the writer wanted to bring harm to himself. The backpacks were determined to be harmless.
An adult male passenger was asleep on a Fremont bound train leaving Lake Merritt station when he was awakened by a male in his late teens attempting to steal his iPOD from his jacket pocket. The victim was punched in the face as he successfully struggled to maintain possession of the device. The suspect off-boarded at Fruitvale station according to a witness.
Fremont PD officers searched the station for two juvenile, attempt commercial burglary suspects. The officers detained one suspect, while a BPD officer found the second suspect aboard a bus. That suspect was in possession of an air-soft replica firearm.

THE MALE JUVENILE WAS CONTACTED AND WAS FOUND TO HAVE A NO BAIL WARRANT FOR 602W&I. THE JUVENILE WAS FOUND TO BE IN THE POSSESSION OF POSSIBLE ECSTASY AFTER ARREST. THE MALE JUVENILE WAS BOOKED INTO JUVENILE HALL.

An adult male was arrested and booked on a charge of attempted strongarm robbery when he tried to forcibly take a purse from a woman who refused him a cigarette. The victim was also kicked by the suspect during the offense.

A train operator was sweeping a train at Fremont station and reported a suspicious package on board. The operator said it also seemed to be making a ringing noise. Responding officers evacuated and closed the station. An explosives detection K-9 unit examined the item with negative results. Officers determined the item to be non-hazardous and the station was re-opened.
A woman had her purse snatched by a male suspect in the bus zone. The suspect fled toward the Fremont Civic Center.
A passenger used a cellphone to report a male beating a female on board a train. The suspect was apprehended at the station and later determined to be an ex-boyfriend who had a stay-away order commanding him to stay away from the victim. The suspect was taken into custody and booked for battery and violation of a stay-away order.
hrs. A female patron reported being the victim of a sexual battery while she was on board a Fremont-bound train between Berkeley and Fremont. An adult male with brown curly hair wearing a grey sweatshirt with red stripes and blue jeans touched her crotch and rubbed against her.
Two juvenile female victims were seated aboard a Fremont bound train between Union City and Fremont stations when they were confronted by three juvenile female suspects. The suspects battered and pepper-sprayed the victims, robbed them of their property, then fled towards the bus zone at Fremont station. Suspects were not located.
