The station agent received a call from a white courtesy phone on the platform level from an adult male who stated in a low tone "There's a bomb, bitch". Responding officers declared the station clear of any suspicious packages/devices. It is unknown what prompted the threat.
Witnesses confirmed seeing a male juvenile jump in front of an approaching northbound train. Subject was transported to San Francisco General Hospital and later died of his injuries. Next of kin notified.
A patron reported that he was bumped by an unknown suspect while riding the escalator down to the station platform. The patron then discovered that his wallet was missing and believes that it was taken when he was bumped.
A patron was descending a stairway leading to the platform level when he asked two subjects if he could squeeze by in order to catch his train. The subjects refused and when the patron attempted to get by them, they pushed him down the stairway, causing injury to his ankle. The suspects, who then demanded an apology from the victim, were described as black males in their 30's, both with dark complexions, one wearing a red jacket, the other wearing a brown jacket. They were last seen boarding an Eastbay bound train.
The department's Tactical Team was deployed to address a protest of the Oscar Grant shooting. Approximately 100 protesters gathered at Embarcadero station at the height of the protest. There were several minor train delays and one adult male was arrested and booked for interfering with the operation of a railroad and resisting arrest. L18
A female patron had her iPod snatched while on board a Daly City bound train as it arrived at Embarcadero Station. The victim noticed the suspects, two black males, 16-20 years of age, board the train at West Oakland Station. The suspect who actually snatched her iPod was described as 16-20 years of age, 5'9" in height, 160 lbs., clean shaven, short hair, wearing blue jeans and a black fleece jacket. Both suspects fled at the Embarcadero station. The victim gave chase but lost them on the street level.
Officers were dispatched to the station to check on the welfare of an adult male who was reported to be vomiting while on a train. The officers determined that the suspect appeared to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and unable to care for his own safety. Due to the level of intoxication, the Fire Department was called to evaluate the suspect's condition. When the Fire Department arrived, the suspect became combative and fought with the officers and fire personnel. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication, resisting arrest and battery on an officer. The suspect was transported to SF General Hospital for medical clearance prior to booking.
A male victim was robbed of his Ipod while standing on the platform. The suspect grabbed the Ipod from the victim's hand and boarded a train before the victim could give chase. The victim was knocked to the ground during the encounter, but was not injured. Officers intercepted the train at the West Oakland Station and detained the suspect. Once identified by the victim, the adult male suspect was booked at San Francisco County Jail. The Ipod was recovered from the suspect and returned to the victim.
A victim had his laptop computer taken from his possession by an adult male who fled the station on foot. It is believed that the offense occurred on board a train as it pulled into the station. The suspect was described as tall and thin. No further information available at this time.

A male suspect took a female's purse from her hands while on the platform. A group of fire fighters, who were conducting a drill on the platform, heard the two parties struggling for the purse. The fire fighters physically detained the suspect until the police arrived. The suspect was arrested and booked at the San Francisco jail for robbery, and also had an arrest warrant for narcotics possession. 0902-1302 L12.
An adult male sustained a head wound when he was assaulted by up to three other adult males. The motive of the assault was not determined and it was reported that one of the assailants brandished a handgun. None of the suspects were located while the victim was treated at the scene.
A citizen was knocked to the ground and her purse stolen topside of Embarcadero Station. Witnesses followed the suspect, a male in his 20's, into the station where he was found on the platform and taken into custody.

Members of the Special Problems Unit were working a surveillance of the station for robbery suspects whose routine was to rob patrons, usually on board San Francisco bound trains, of their laptop computers as the trains would approach the Embarcadero station. The robbers would then flee the train at the Embarcadero station with their take. At approximately 2009 hrs. the suspects robbed a patron of his/her laptop on a San Francisco bound train approaching Embarcadero station. SPU officers on-viewed them fleeing the train when it arrived, apprehending one suspect and recovering the laptop. The second suspect was able to escape.
A passenger on a San Francisco bound train was robbed of his laptop computer by two adult males. One suspect grabbed the laptop from the victim's lap while the other punched the victim as he attempted to give chase. Both suspects fled the train as it arrived at Embarcadero Station.
A 30-year-old man was robbed of his laptop computer aboard a Millbrae-bound train. One male-teenage suspect grabbed the seated victim's head, while the other snatched the computer from the victim's lap. The suspects fled the train and could not located.
A passenger on a San Francisco train was robbed of his laptop computer by two adult males as the train reached Embarcadero station. The victim was working on his computer when he felt an arm around his throat. While being held around the throat by one suspect, the other grabbed his laptop and fled the train with the second suspect immediately following. Both were adult males in their 20's or 30's. The suspects are believed to have fled the Drumm St. exit.
