Officers responded to a report of a person on the trackway walking toward the Montgomery Street Station. The officer contacted the subject while on the platform at Montgomery. The subject was determined to be able to care for his own safety and was clear of any prior contacts. There was no delay in service or damage to the trackway, and the subject was released at the scene. TSOC notified.
Officers responded to a report of a person underneath an East Bay bound train at the station. Upon arrival, officers contacted a person who had reportedly fell onto the trackway prior to the train’s arrival, and made it safely up to the platform. According to witnesses, the person tripped on his pants and fell onto the platform. The person suffered a minor bruise to his elbow and was treated and released at the scene by paramedics. The officers determined the subject was not a danger to himself or under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Firefighters arrived at the scene and made a precautionary search underneath the train with negative results. The station was temporarily closed and service was delayed for 37 minutes.
A record check on a person detained for panhandling revealed an outstanding no-bail arrest warrant out of Solano County for parole violation. The suspect was placed under arrest for the warrant. A sergeant arrived at the scene to approve the arrest.
An officer contacted an adult male for blocking free movement at the station. A records check revealed that he had no prior contacts for the blocking violation, but he did have a no bail probation violation warrant for his arrest. The male was given a warning for the blocking violation and booked into the San Francisco County Jail for the warrant.
While on patrol, officers detained an adult male for blocking the free movement of another person inside the station. A subsequent records’ check revealed the subject had previous contacts and/or arrests for the same violation. The subject was arrested for the violation as it was deemed likely to continue. A sergeant responded to approve the arrest and debrief the subject. The subject was then booked into the San Francisco County jail for the violation.
The station agent reported that a male suspect was aggressively trying to sell BART tickets to patrons. Responding officers located the suspect. Record checks showed that he had an outstanding $30,000 arrest warrant for misappropriation of lost property, held by San Francisco PD. The man was arrested for his warrant and booked at the San Francisco County Jail.
Officers contacted an adult male for blocking free movement and determined that he had been previously contacted for the same offense on numerous occasions. The male was booked into the San Francisco County Jail for the offense (likely to continue).
A victim reported a male was masturbating while staring at her aboard a Daly City train between the 12th Street and West Oakland Stations. The victim off boarded at the Embarcadero Station to make the report and the suspect followed her off the train. The suspect was described as a Black male, 25-30 years old, large afro, wearing khaki shorts and a white t-shirt. Officer searched the station but the suspect fled prior to their arrival. Officers possibly have identified a suspect in this case based on the physical description. Patrol to follow up on this case.
A male attempted to take a large contained of broken glass onto a down escalator. A station agent and a supervisor stopped the man and he reacted by attempting to strike them with his fists. The male then made death threats towards the employees. Officers responded and contacted the male outside the station. The employees responded to identify the male and to place him under citizen's arrest. The male was identified and he was placed under arrest for assault and making death threats. A sergeant responded to approve the arrest. The male was booked at the San Francisco County Jail.
Patrons aboard a Dublin/Pleasanton train reported a male was threatening to shoot patrons aboard the train, no weapon was brandished. The suspect was described a Black male, all black clothing and carrying a white bag. Trains were held on the platform with doors open. Prior to the arrival of the officers, the suspect exited the train that was holding on platform #1 and disappeared off video camera. Officers arrived and searched both trains for the suspect, with negative results. Trains were released and trains were directed to conduct run troughs until the station was searched. Once the station was cleared, train service resumed. Train service was delayed for approximately 20 minutes.
While on patrol, a sergeant contacted and detained a subject for obstructing passage inside the station. A wants check revealed that the subject had an outstanding $75k misdemeanor warrant issued by the San Francisco County Superior Court charging petty theft. The subject was arrested and booked into the SF County Jail for his warrant.
A records check on a person detained by Officer R. Barrera for blocking free movement revealed an outstanding $10,000 arrest warrant out of San Francisco for theft. The subject, identified as Arturo Delacruz (12/17/74), given a warning on blocking free movement and was placed under arrest on the warrant. An officer detained a subject (Delacruz, Arturo / 12-17-74) for blocking free movement in the station. Sergeant M. Lee arrived at the scene to approve the arrest and debrief the subject.
Officers contacted an adult male for blocking free movement. The male refused to cooperate in the investigation and eventually became combative. He had to be physically restrained and was taken into custody for resisting arrest/delaying an officer. He was cited for blocking free movement and booked into the San Francisco County Jail for resisting arrest.
Officers responded to the Embarcadero Station for a report of a male blocking free movement inside the station. The male was lying across the hallway and refused to move for the officers. The officers attempted to identify the male but he refused to cooperate did not have any identification. A sergeant responded and approved the arrest for blocking free movement and failure to provide satisfactory identification. The male was booked at the San Francisco County Jail and jail staff confirmed his identity. The male had five infraction warrants issued by SFPD. The male was booked for blocking free movement and the warrants. An additional charge for providing false identification to a police officer was added.
While working the fixed-post assignment at the station, an officer detained a male subject believed to have outstanding warrants. A records’ check then confirmed the following warrants for the subject’s arrest: A $50K felony narcotics warrant and a $10K misdemeanor fraud warrant - both held by the San Francisco Police Department, and an outstanding $708 infraction warrant held by the BART Police Department. The subject was arrested for the warrants without incident, and a sergeant responded to approve the arrest. A search of the subject’s property, incident to the arrest, further revealed he was in possession of altered BART tickets, tools commonly used to produce altered tickets, and drug paraphernalia. The subject, who is homeless, was also found to be on probation for petty theft. Subsequently, the subject was booked into the county jail for the listed warrants and charges.
A victim reported a person grabbed a $200 iPhone 5 from her hand while they were on the platform and fled from the station in an unknown direction. There were no injuries or weapons. The phone had no tracking device and a search for the suspect by officers proved negative.
A record check on a person detained for a possible stay away order from BART stations revealed an outstanding no-bail felony arrest warrant out of the California Department of Corrections for parole violation. The suspect was placed under arrest for the warrant. The suspect had numerous prior contacts with BART Police, but there was no BART stay away order. A sergeant arrived at the scene to approve the arrest.
A station agent reported a male was panhandling at the station and was known to have a court order prohibiting him from being from the station. Officers responded and contacted the male. A records/warrant check revealed the male had a valid "stay away" court order. The male was placed under arrest and will be booked at the San Francisco County Jail, once medically cleared at the hospital. A sergeant approved the arrest.
While on patrol, officers contacted and detained two individuals for fare evasion. A wants check on one of the individuals revealed an outstanding $75k warrant issued from the SFPD charging burglary and grand theft. The suspect was arrested and booked into the SF County Jail for her warrant.
A victim reported an unauthorized $20.00 transaction was made on her missing Visa card sometime on 5/14/14 at the Embarcadero Station. The victim reported her card had been missing since 1800 hours on 5/14/14.
Officers contacted a male to conduct a welfare check. The male was sleeping on the concourse level of the Embarcadero Station. When the male sat up, a glass pipe (used to consume narcotics) rolled out from under him. Officers also saw suspected narcotics on the ground next to the male. The male was placed under arrest and was searched prior to booking. During the search, an officer discovered additional narcotics on the male. The male was booked at the San Francisco County jail for the narcotics violation and three SFPD infraction warrants. A sergeant approved the arrest.
A subject detained for fare evasion by officers was found to have an outstanding $3K misdemeanor weapons warrant, issued by the Alameda County Sherriff’s Office, for his arrest. Officers placed the subject under arrest without incident, and a sergeant responded to approve the arrest and debrief the subject. The subject was then issued a citation for fare evasion and booked into the county jail for the warrant.
A victim reported a man came from behind and grabbed a $300.00 black Samsung Galaxy S4 cell phone from her hand while they were on the platform. There were no injuries and the suspect fled from the station toward the Market and Beale Street exit. Video requested.
