A victim reported that they locked their purple mountain bicycle at the station on 9/12/15 at 1000 hours. The bicycle was secured with a cable lock. The victim returned today at 1400 hours to find their bicycle gone. The estimated value of the bike is $100.
An employee of a small coffee kiosk called to report an aggressive panhandler near her store. An officer contacted the male and determined that he had a condition of his probation to stay away from all BART stations. The victim did not wish to pursue a complaint, so the male was booked into the Santa Rita Jail for violating the conditions of his probation.
An officer was dispatched to conduct a welfare check on a male who was reportedly sleeping on the floor of an out of service train. The officer made contact and determined that the male was too intoxicated to care for himself, so he was booked into the Santa Rita Jail for public intoxication.
A victim reported the theft of their Swift Trail men’s bike while it was cable locked to the south bike racks, between 1745 hours on 8/15/15 and 1340 hours on 8/17/15. An officer responded and completed a report.
The owner of the Cafe Express store reported that a suspect pried open the metal gate over the window and gained entry to the store sometime between 1630 hours on 8/15 and 0800 hours today. Once the suspect made entry, he/she took $200 in cash from the cash register. There is no video in the store, but station video is being requested. The area was processed for evidence as well.
A system service worker reported a male urinating on the platform. A records check revealed that the male had a valid stay away order to stay away from all BART stations. The male was placed under citizen's arrest for the urinating violation and booked into the Santa Rita Jail for the court order violation.
The driver of a black 1990’s Jeep Grand Cherokee experienced a medical emergency while traveling on westbound Interstate 580, which in turn caused the vehicle to collide with the center median above the station. After striking the median, the vehicle fell through an opening between the east and west bound lanes of the interstate and landed in the station’s bus zone. No pedestrians and/or patrons were injured, but the vehicle’s driver and a passenger were seriously injured. BART Police and Highway Patrol officers responded, as did medical personnel. Paramedics eventually transported the injured to a nearby hospital, and Highway patrol officers took over the investigation as the collision originated in their jurisdiction. With the exception of interstate fencing and related debris landing in the bus zone, there was no damage to BART property and train service was not interrupted.
A victim reported that their 2007 gold-colored Honda Odyssey was burglarized while parked on the third level of the station’s parking structure, stall 423, between 0740 and 1350 hours. The suspect(s) entered the vehicle via a driver’s side door cheat, and a small amount of loose change was taken from the center console. The investigating officer processed the vehicle for fingerprints and completed a report.
A victim reported the theft of their blue and white Giant 21-speed bicycle. The bike was secured to the racks with a chain lock on 7/22 at 0750 hours and when the victim returned at 1700 hours, the bike and lock were gone.
A victim reported that their Scatante R680 21 speed road bike was stolen last Thursday (7/16/15) while parked at the bike racks and locked with a cable lock between 0645-1900 hours. An officer responded and completed a report.
A victim reported that their red Cannondale men’s road bike was stolen while cable locked to the paid are racks of the station, between 0750 and 1630 hours. An officer responded and completed a report.
While performing a welfare check on an adult male, an officer discovered he had an active stay away order from all BART properties, in addition to being on active court probation and being too intoxicated to care for himself. The officer placed the subject under arrest, and a sergeant responded to approve the arrest. The subject was then booked into the county jail for the court order violation, public intoxication and for violating the terms of his probation.
A victim reported the theft of their white 24-speed Jamis Coda bike from the bike racks. The bike was secured to the rack with a cable lock on 6/5 at 0930 hours. When the victim returned at 1600 hours on the same day, the bike and lock were gone.
A patron reported via BART Watch that a man on the San Francisco bound train had a black handgun in a bag. Officers from BART, Alameda County SO and Dublin PD responded and searched the train. They located the man on board and detained him. A plastic toy gun was found in a shopping bag in the man's possession. Officers determined that no crime had been committed and the man was released after being identified. The toy was confiscated. There was a 20 minute delay in service as a result of this incident. TSOC notified.
A victim reported a man grabbed a purse she was carrying that contained a Samsung Galaxy 2 cell phone while they were on the Pleasanton side parking lot. There were no injuries and no suspect information. The phone had no tracking capability.
A victim reported the theft of their white 2014 Ford pickup while it was parked in the stall 1694, between 2330 hours on 6/26/15 and 1625 hours on 6/29/15. An officer responded and completed a report.
Officers were dispatched to a possible auto burglary in progress. Officers arrived and located a burglarized vehicle with a smashed window, interior ransacked and missing in dash stereo. A note was left for the owner to contact us upon their return.
