A patron reported to an officer his backpack containing electronic items were taken from him while he was sleeping aboard a Pleasanton bound train. A crime broadcast was made and based on a witness description, a male (Rayquan Murray, 19 years, San Francisco) was detained near the Powell Station. Murray was in possession of the victim's stolen property and was placed under arrest. He was booked into jail.

The man was transported to the hospital for medical clearance, and then to John George Pavilion for psychiatric evaluation, with a criminal hold. There were no injuries.
