A CSO spotted a 99’ Buick with a smashed out passenger side window parked in stall #296 on the first level of the parking structure. The interior of the vehicle had been ransacked. It is unknown if there is any loss at this time.
The BART Operations Control Center reported a train car floor that was vandalized with paint. An officer responded to check the train car while it was at the station. The floor and a seat was found to have been painted with puffy yellow paint. No suspects or witnesses were located. The officer requested video.
A male victim reported that he was walking to his car on the third floor of the parking structure, a male suspect (BM or HM, early 20s, 5'11", grey stocking cap, dark jacket and pants) ran up to him and hit him in the head before taking his keys. The suspect then ran to the parking structure stairwell and was not located. The victim received a small laceration to his head and was transported to the hospital for treatment. CHP reported that a male had apparently jumped from the top of the parking structure. Paramedics determined that the man was deceased at the scene. Officers responded to conduct an investigation. There were no indications of foul play. There was no impact on train service. TSOC notified.
The victim reported the theft of their men’s black mountain bicycle (unknown name brand), valued at $100.00, while it was U-locked at the station between 4/11/17 and 1750 hours on 4/14/17. An officer took the report.
A passenger called in a male on the platform acting strangely. An officer contacted the male and determined that he was too intoxicated to care for himself. The male was booked into the Santa Rita Jail for public intoxication.
A victim reported the theft of their orange unknown brand men's mountain bike from the racks. The bike was secured with a cable lock at 0630 hours and when the victim returned at 1733 hours, the bike and lock were gone.
A female was seen walking on the transfer tracks east of the platform. She exited to Hacienda Drive by using an emergency exit. She returned about an hour later, and was seen touching the electric third rail. An officer attempted to detain her, but she again fled to Hacienda Drive. The officer managed to detain the woman on the on-ramp leading to I-580. Officers determined that the woman was in need of psychiatric care and she was transported to John George Pavilion for treatment.
A victim reported that his vehicle was entered by possible door lock cheat and the interior was ransacked while the vehicle was parked between 0825-1950 hours. A few small miscellaneous items were taken. The victim declined to have the vehicle processed for evidence.
On officer detained the suspect for fare evasion. A records check revealed an outstanding $20,000 warrant held by the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office for domestic violence. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the Santa Rita Jail on the warrant. The suspect was also cited for fare evasion.
A victim reported the theft of his dark grey Giant Boulder SE bike from the bike racks. The bike was secured with a U-lock at 0800 hours and when he returned at 1949 hours, the bike and lock were gone.
The victim’s 04’ Honda Odyssey was burglarized between the hours of 0845-2100 while parked in stall #807 on the 2nd level of the Pleasanton parking garage. Entry was made via a rear window smash. The interior of the vehicle was ransacked with no apparent loss. An officer processed the vehicle for latent prints with negative results.
