While clearing an out-of-service train at the station, a train operator awakened a white male suspect who acted erratic and then battered the operator. An officer responded and safely detained the suspect, who was also too intoxicated to care for himself. The train operator, who was not injured and did not require medical attention, placed the suspect under citizen’s arrest for battery. The suspect was then issued a prohibition order and booked into the county jail for battering the train operator and public intoxication.

Upon arrival the officers detained the subject and determined that he met the criteria for a psychological detention. He was subsequently transported to the hospital for a psych evaluation.
