After parking their vehicle, a dating couple got into a heated argument over her infidelity. Angry at the accusation, the female began striking the male in the head while holding her car keys. He sustained a minor laceration to his forehead and she was arrested and booked for battery.

Officers responded to the station after the station agent reported a subject yelling profanities at him over a fare dispute. Officers detained the responsible and determined that he was a parolee-at-large wanted by the Department of Corrections. A search incident to arrest found that the subject was in possession of cocaine for which he was also charged and booked.

Fare Evasion and Resisting Arrest

The station agent reported that an adult male suspect fare evaded into the station via the emergency gate. The suspect fled when the arriving officer approached him on the platform. The officer chased the suspect back out through the entrance to the station and a short distance toward the parking lot. The suspect stopped, and faced the officer with clenched fists. The officer struck the suspect with his baton and finally subdued him on a concrete sidewalk. The suspect refused medical treatment, and was booked in county jail for fare evasion and resisting arrest. The officer was treated at a local hospital for scrapes on both hands and pain in one knee after hitting the concrete.

The suspect was not armed and the incident appeared to be unprovoked.

Battery With Injury Upon A Peace Officer

A 27-year-old male fare evader, who was also a missing person out of Merced, battered a BART police officer who had tried to detain him in the parking lot. Dublin, Pleasanton and BART police personnel responded code 3 to the scene. The officer received treatment at an area hospital for a laceration above his left brow and a swollen eye. The suspect was booked at Santa Rita Jail for battery with injury on a peace officer, and resisting arrest.

A station agent confronted an adult male who walked out the emergency exit gate without processing a ticket. The suspect tossed his ticket at the agent, and began yelling at him. When an officer arrived, the suspect assumed a fighting stance and challenged the officer. The officer struck the suspect's leg with his baton, and with the assistance of an off duty parole officer, took the combative suspect into custody. The suspect was booked.

A train operator reported a male adult subject passed out on a train at the platform. A sergeant contacted the suspect, who immediately grabbed ahold of the sergeant and began fighting. The suspect was pepper sprayed, and finally subdued with the assistance of another officer. Neither the sergeant or officer was injured. The suspect was treated by medical personnel, and then booked for drunk in public and resisting arrest.

Trains were held out of the station as officers responded to a report of an adult male wearing a surgical mask, waving a handgun on the platform and threatening to kill himself and others. Officers later discovered that the subject was in possession of a replica handgun similar to an automatic pistol. The subject was held for psychiatric evaluation after officers determined he was a danger to himself and others.
