A patron reported the burglary of a 1991 Honda Accord station wagon in stall #2416 of the Pleasanton-side lot. The burglary occurred between 0645-1915 hrs. today. There was no damage to the exterior of the vehicle. Entry may have been made with a shaved key. There was no loss of property, however the steering-wheel column and ignition were damaged. The vehicle was processed for latent prints and other evidence. A broken key was found on the ground near the vehicle.
A man reported that his Schwinn 21-speed men’s mountain bike was stolen between 0930 hrs. on 06/24/12, and 0015 hrs. today. The cable lock with which it was secured was also stolen.
A patron reported their Specialized Hardrock 21-speed mountain bike was stolen between 0830-2015 hours. The victim had secured the bike to the rack using a cable lock.
A patron reported their green Ford Expedition was burglarized while parked in stall #2426 on the Pleasanton side of the station between 0615-1820 hours. An unknown suspect used a tool to punch the driver's side door lock and then removed a car stereo, compact discs and a pair of sunglasses.
The train operator of a train at the platform of the station reported an intoxicated male who was threatening to batter the train operator. An officer arrived and tried to make contact with the male. The male attempted to push the officer and tried to pull away when the officer tried to restrain him. The officer was able to take the male into custody without injury to the suspect. The officer complained of pain to his shoulder as a result of the struggle. The male was booked into the Santa Rita Jail for Public Intoxication, Resisting Arrest and Battery of an Officer.
A patron called to report the theft of his blue, GT Nomad Comfort 21-speed bicycle. The bike was locked to the bike racks with a cable lock on 6/12 at 1145 hours and when he returned at 1800, the bike and lock were gone.
A man reported that his Cannondale men’s road bicycle had been stolen from the bike racks between 0830-0059 hrs. yesterday. The cable lock that had secured the bicycle was also stolen.
While on routine patrol, an officer discovered a suspicious looking object that appeared to look like a pipe bomb underneath a vehicle in the Pleasanton side parking lot. BART Central, Pleasanton Police, TSOC, and the Alameda County Bomb Squad were all notified. The scene was cleared of traffic while a department bomb dog determined the object was a broken sprinkler valve.
A male was reported to be hanging from the top of the Dublin parking structure. BART Police units had a lengthy response time to the station and Dublin Police were requested to check the area. They located a male on the top level of the structure. When they went to talk with him he ran and threw himself from the top of the structure. He died on the scene. Detectives and ID Tech responded. The Coroner’s office will be notified at the Detectives request.
A patron reported her dark blue 1993 Geo Prism was stolen while it was parked and locked on the Pleasanton side parking lot between 0800-1700 hours.
A patron reported his $800.00 18 speed Bianchi Grizzly mountain bicycle was stolen while it was parked and locked at the station on 5/21/12 between 1000-1600 hours. The bicycle had been secured with a Kryptonite cable lock. The
An officer saw a suspect trying to steal a bicycle by sawing through a cable lock. He and another officer detained the suspect. The suspect was found to be on probation, with a search clause, for theft and possession of stolen property. The suspect was searched and found to be in possession of oxycodone and burglary tools. He was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and burglary tools, and for attempted theft. A sergeant interviewed the suspect. The suspect was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
A patron reported the theft of his men's 21-speed mountain bike from the bike racks. He secured the bike with a cable lock on 5/17 at 1700 hours. When he returned on 5/18 at 0700 hours, the bike and lock were gone.
A patron reported that his black bicycle (unknown make and model) was stolen while it was parked and locked at the bike rack between 0830-1900 hours. The bicycle had been secured by a cable lock.
A patron reported that his $50.00 black Punc bicycle was stolen while it was parked and locked at the bike rack between 0645 hours on 5/14/12 to 0745 hours on 5/15/12. The bicycle had been secured by a cable lock.
An officer was dispatched to intercept a Dublin Train for a report of an intoxicated male disturbing other passengers. The officer made contact with the male suspect and determined that he was too intoxicated to care for himself. The officer also recognized him as having a "stay away" from BART condition on his probation. The male was then booked into the Santa Rita Jail for Public Intoxication and for Violation of a Court Order.
A patron reported his turqouise Schwinn hybrid bicycle was stolen while it was parked and locked on the bike rack between 0715-1800 hours.
A patron reported her $350.00 blue Giant 21 speed bicycle was stolen while it was parked and locked at the bike rack between 0700-1740 hours.
A victim reported the catalytic converter was removed from his 1998 Toyota 4runner between 0720 and 1920 hours. The vehicle was parked on the fifth level of the parking structure in stall #709. The officer was unable to locate any evidence.
A female juvenile attacked another female juvenile in the bus zone at the station. The suspect punched and kicked the victim, knocking her to the ground. The suspect walked away and returned several times, kicking the victim in the head and face. A third female juvenile who was with the suspect attempted to separate the two. The suspect and her companion boarded a train, which was intercepted at Castro Valley Station. Responding officrs detained the suspects and the victim and a witness made a positive identification. It was determined the suspect's companion did not commit any crime. The victim was transported to Eden Medical Center and was treated and released for head and facial bruising and a possible concussion. The on-call detective responded and interviewed both the suspect and victim. The investigation determined that the suspect and victim knew each other and have had altercations on prior occasions. The suspect was issued a citation for assault with a deadly weapon and was released to the custody of her parents.
A victim reported his 18 speed mountain bike valued at $300 taken between 1230 and 1930 hours. No serial number give by the victim.
An officer on patrol at the station observed two persons exiting the station via the emergency gate without processing tickets. The suspects were detained and the officer discovered that one suspect was an adult male and the other suspect a juvenile female. The adult male was wanted for a warrant for battery and he was arrested for that warrant. The juvenile was reprimanded and released to return home to her grandmother. Additional investigation revealed that the adult male suspect possibly had a restraining order prohibiting contact with the juvenile, but the order had errors and could not be verified. Follow-up investigation will be conducted to determine if an additional charge against the suspect for violating the restraining order can be obtained.
A station agent contacted an officer to assist with a fare dispute. The male suspect claimed to have lost his ticket, but had made the same claim on prior occasions. The agent ultimately wrote the suspect a bill for the fare, but during the contact/investigation, the officer discovered a $10,000 warrant for DUI for the suspect. The suspect was booked into the Santa Rita Jail for the warrant.
An adult female was sitting in a vehicle talking with an adult male who is casually known to her. The male was standing outside the vehicle when he suddenly grabbed an iPad that was sitting on the victim's lap and fled with the loss, leaving the scene in a vehicle. The suspect did not have permission to take the victim's property. The officer investigating the report attempted to identify the suspect, but the victim's information did not match any known persons.
The catalytic converter was removed from a 1999 Toyota Tacoma between 0715 and 2030 hours. The vehicle was parked in stall 1958 on the Pleasanton side of the station. It appeared the converter was un-bolted by the suspect.
