A victim reported that their vehicle was burglarized while parked in the northwest lot. The vehicle was entered by unknown means (no damage) between 0715-1815 hours on 3/31 and the garage door opener, miscellaneous papers and some CDs were taken.
A victim reported that a male suspect attempted to rob him at knife point and cut him when he did not have any money, causing a superficial wound to his shoulder. The victim knew the suspect who fled from the station. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The case is under investigation. 1503=4202 L22
A victim reported his 2005 black Dodge Magnum 4 door was burglarized while it was parked and locked in stall #2865 on the Pleasanton side of the station between 0745-1820 hours. The driver door was punched, and a stereo was taken from inside the vehicle.
A CSO noticed a male tampering with a bike at the bike racks. The male eventually went up to the platform where he was detained by an officer. The CSO noticed damage to the cable lock on the bike. She then identified the male as the same one she had seen tampering with the bike. A search of his person revealed a pair of garden shears. The male provided a statement and admitted to trying to take the bike. Detectives were notified of the arrest. The male suspect was booked into the Santa Rita Jail for attempted petty theft and possession of burglary tools. A note was left on the bike for the owner to contact us upon their return.
A patron reported that their silver & black Mongoose 12-speed road bike was stolen from the racks between 2/28/15 at 1900 hours to today at 2200 hours. The victim secured the bike with a chain lock.
An officer detained an adult female for reportedly battering two patrons aboard a train. During the detention, the female assaulted and battered the officer, who then used force to take her into custody. Two battery victims/patrons then came forward, and one of them placed the female under citizen’s arrest for battery. Two sergeants responded to approve the arrest, debrief the female and perform the use of force investigation. Subsequently, the female was issued a prohibition order and booked into the county jail for battering and assaulting the officer, and for battering the patron. None of the involved parties were injured as a result of the female’s actions.
Employees working inside the station reported that a male suspect was tampering with bikes locked to the racks outside the station entrance. The suspect was described as a white male in his 20's, wearing a green head scarf, a long blue shirt and jeans. The suspect was observed using a lighter to ignite the plastic covering on a bike lock. Officers responded and detained the man. The man was ultimately arrested for arson and possession of an incendiary device with the intent to start fires and attempted theft. The suspect was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
A victim called to make a phone report regarding the burglary of their vehicle. The car was parked in the lot on 1/28 between 0800-1800 hours. When the victim returned, the interior of the vehicle had been ransacked, but nothing was taken. The victim was unable to determine how entry was made. The vehicle was not processed for evidence, as it was taken as a phone report.
A victim reported the theft of their black/red/white Genesis V2100 21 speed bicycle (unknown serial numbers) from the Dublin/Pleasanton Station. The victim parked and locked his bike to the bike racks using a cable lock at 0930 hours and returned at 2125 hours to discover his bicycle was stolen. Loss was $200. An officer completed a theft report.
A train operator reported his 2004 Ford F-150 truck was burglarized while parked in the employee lot of the Dublin/Pleasanton Station. A suspect smashed the rear passenger window and removed a set of Taylor Made golf clubs. Also taken were three BART train operator uniforms, with patches. The incident occurred between 1245-2050 hours. The victim declined to allow an officer to dust the truck for fingerprints. TSOC was advised of the theft of BART train operator uniforms.

A female patron reported that her purse was missing when she got off the train and that the only person near her was still on the platform. An officer contacted the man, who admitted that he stole the woman's purse. A search of his person revealed the woman's property on the man. Record checks showed that the man had an outstanding $1,000 arrest warrant for open container, held by the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. The man was arrested and booked at Santa Rita Jail for his warrant and for theft, possession of stolen property and misappropriation of lost property.
A victim reported that they parked and locked their vehicle (a 1997 Honda) in the parking lot on 12/26/14, at 1130 hours. They returned at 2015 hours to find their driver side window pried open and stereo, GPS, and shoes missing.
A victim reported that their silver colored 1990 Ford Contour was burglarized while parked in stall 1961, between 0630-1645 hours. The vehicle’s passenger window was shattered to gain entry, and a $200 Sony brand stereo/CD player was taken from the passenger compartment. An officer responded, processed the vehicle for fingerprints and completed a report.
While on patrol, an officer witnessed a person steal a bicycle from the racks in the free area of the station. While attempting to make contact, the suspect rode away with the bicycle into a nearby apartment complex on the Dublin side of the station. A search for the suspect proved negative, but the bike and personal effects from the suspect were recovered near the apartments. Video was retrieved from the apartment complex for follow up. The victim of the bicycle was present at the station to positively identify the bike.
A victim reported the theft of their black/red Kent single speed road bicycle (Unknown serial number) while it was locked to the exterior bike racks with a cable lock, between 0900-1900 hours. The loss was $100.00. An officer responded and completed a report.
An officer responded to a report of a disturbance between a male suspect and a train operator. The suspect stole the train operator's keys and a glove. The officer attempted to detain the suspect, who resisted. The officer requested Code 3 cover and when officers from Dublin PD arrived, they were able to take the suspect into custody. The train operator's property was recovered. The suspect was booked at Santa Rita Jail for theft and resisting arrest. He was issued a prohibition order prior to booking.
While on patrol, an officer located a Hyundai Elantra in the parking structure with its driver’s side window smashed. The loss is unknown at this time. The officer attempted to contact the registered owner with negative results. A note was left with the vehicle and it was processed for fingerprints with negative results.
