A victim reported the theft of their black/green 21-speed Denali GMC men’s road bike, valued at $400.00, while it was cable locked at the station between 0800 and 1730 hours. An officer completed a report.
A record check on a person for erratic behavior revealed an outstanding $100,000 arrest warrant out of Oakland for robbery. The suspect was placed under arrest for the warrant. The suspect was also deemed a danger to himself and will be evaluated at John George Psychiatric Facility prior to booking.
A citizen reported seeing a man with a gun. Pleasanton PD Officers arrived on scene and detained a male. A replica firearm (airsoft BB gun) was located on the suspect along with a BART Operations portable radio. BART officers arrived on scene and took over the case. The male was booked into the Santa Rita Jail for displaying a replica firearm and misappropriation of lost property. The investigation as to how the suspect ended up with the radio is on-going.
A victim reported the theft of their green 1999 Honda Civic while it was parked on the Pleasanton side of the station, stall 2774, between 0710 and 1950 hours. An officer responded and completed a report.
A victim reported that their burgundy 2005 GMC Yukon was burglarized while parked in stall 2589, Pleasanton side, between 0555 and 1910 hours. The passenger’s door window was shattered and a Sony Play station 4 iPod was taken. The victim declined to allow the investigating officer to process the vehicle for fingerprints.
A victim reported that their silver 2004 Honda Civic was burglarized while parked in stall 2540, Pleasanton side, between 0620 and 1800 hours. The driver’s door window was shattered and its $400.00 Kenwood brand stereo was taken. The investigating officer processed the vehicle for fingerprints.
A victim reported the theft of their black/teal men’s Trek road bike, valued at $350.00, while it was cable-locked to the exterior bike racks between 1515 and 2130 hours. An officer completed a report and requested station video.
An officer responded to the Dublin/Pleasanton Station for a report of a peace sign that was spray painted on the door of car #2536. The peace sign was approximately 15-16 inches in diameter. An officer responded to take photos of the damage and to complete a report. The train car was moved to the shops for cleaning.
BART Central called to report that 13 rail cars had been vandalized while parked just outside of the station overnight. Officers responded to conduct the investigation. Station video has been requested and detectives were notified.
A victim reported that their vehicle was burglarized while parked in the northwest lot. The vehicle was entered by unknown means (no damage) between 0715-1815 hours on 3/31 and the garage door opener, miscellaneous papers and some CDs were taken.
A victim reported that a male suspect attempted to rob him at knife point and cut him when he did not have any money, causing a superficial wound to his shoulder. The victim knew the suspect who fled from the station. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The case is under investigation. 1503=4202 L22
A victim reported his 2005 black Dodge Magnum 4 door was burglarized while it was parked and locked in stall #2865 on the Pleasanton side of the station between 0745-1820 hours. The driver door was punched, and a stereo was taken from inside the vehicle.
A CSO noticed a male tampering with a bike at the bike racks. The male eventually went up to the platform where he was detained by an officer. The CSO noticed damage to the cable lock on the bike. She then identified the male as the same one she had seen tampering with the bike. A search of his person revealed a pair of garden shears. The male provided a statement and admitted to trying to take the bike. Detectives were notified of the arrest. The male suspect was booked into the Santa Rita Jail for attempted petty theft and possession of burglary tools. A note was left on the bike for the owner to contact us upon their return.
A patron reported that their silver & black Mongoose 12-speed road bike was stolen from the racks between 2/28/15 at 1900 hours to today at 2200 hours. The victim secured the bike with a chain lock.
An officer detained an adult female for reportedly battering two patrons aboard a train. During the detention, the female assaulted and battered the officer, who then used force to take her into custody. Two battery victims/patrons then came forward, and one of them placed the female under citizen’s arrest for battery. Two sergeants responded to approve the arrest, debrief the female and perform the use of force investigation. Subsequently, the female was issued a prohibition order and booked into the county jail for battering and assaulting the officer, and for battering the patron. None of the involved parties were injured as a result of the female’s actions.
Employees working inside the station reported that a male suspect was tampering with bikes locked to the racks outside the station entrance. The suspect was described as a white male in his 20's, wearing a green head scarf, a long blue shirt and jeans. The suspect was observed using a lighter to ignite the plastic covering on a bike lock. Officers responded and detained the man. The man was ultimately arrested for arson and possession of an incendiary device with the intent to start fires and attempted theft. The suspect was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
A victim called to make a phone report regarding the burglary of their vehicle. The car was parked in the lot on 1/28 between 0800-1800 hours. When the victim returned, the interior of the vehicle had been ransacked, but nothing was taken. The victim was unable to determine how entry was made. The vehicle was not processed for evidence, as it was taken as a phone report.
