An adult male was arrested and booked after a witness reported him vandalizing a BART PD patrol car. The witness observed the suspect break off the exterior right rear view mirror off of the right door. A sergeant in the area took the suspect into custody.
An adult male, possibly carrying a slim jim, was reportedly trying car door handles and trunk locks in the station parking lot. Officers detained the suspect on the station platform. The suspect was arrested and booked for a Fresno County, no bail, narcotics warrant. The suspect was also in possession of two California Identification cards and credit cards which did not belong to him.
A patron reported that a male juvenile was on the station platform trying to sell a gun. A sergeant detained the 15 year old. The juvenile was not in possession of a gun, but was in possession of a stolen cell phone, and had a 'no bail' Contra Costa County warrant. The juvenile was booked at Juvenile Hall.
An adult male contacted for fare evasion was arrested and booked on $40,000 in outstanding warrants including one for felony drug possession and another for resisting arrest.
Two female patrons were sitting on a bench in front of the station when a male adult suspect approached and offered to sell them a ring. The victims refused, and the suspect immediately simulated a gun in his waistband and demanded money. He stole fifteen dollars and fled the area. About two hours later, an officer stopped a suspect for fare evasion at the El Cerrito Plaza station and recognized him as a possible suspect in the earlier robbery. Both victims responded and identified the suspect as the one who robbed them. The suspect was arrested and booked for robbery.
A patron's laptop computer and purse were stolen while she travelled on a train between El Cerrito Del Norte and Fremont stations. The purse contained her cellular phone, car keys, check book, credit cards and $150.00 cash. There is no description of the responsible who was able to make off with the property while the victim was reading and listening to her iPod.
A woman victim was on platform 2 when she observed a male masturbating, as he walked along the same platform. The victim and suspect boarded the same San Francisco bound train. The victim later reported the incident, and the train was checked at 12th Street station, but the suspect was GOA/UTL.
Patrons reported seeing two male teenagers prowling in the parking structure. A sergeant spotted two suspects matching the provided description leaving the structure in a possibly-stolen vehicle. Another sergeant made a traffic stop on the vehicle. It was later confirmed that the vehicle had been stolen from the structure, the 15-year-old driver was under the influence, and the 17-year-old passenger possessed shaved keys. Both suspects were cited for auto theft and possession of burglary tools. Additionally, the younger suspect was cited for being a minor driving under the influence. Both were released to adult relatives.
A traffic stop as a result of a moving violation resulted in the arrest of three suspects for being in possession of a stolen automobile out of San Leandro PD's jurisdiction. All three were taken into custody without incident.
A woman was arrested and booked after witnesses reported her verbally and physically abusing her three year old daughter at the bus stop. Numerous witnesses came forward to give their account of the incident to responding officers. Investigating officers determined that the child would be in continual danger if left in the custody of her mother. Child Protective Services was notified and later responded to take custody of the child.
According to witnesses, a 71-year-old man collapsed while boarding a bus at the station. The victim struck his head when he fell. He was transported to Doctors' Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1405 hrs.
A female reported that she is pregnant and that her live-in boyfriend had threatened and pushed her. The male subject was detained and it was determined that he was in violation of a restraining order to stay away from the victim. The subject was booked for domestic battery and the restraining order.
A female was slammed to the ground and her cell phone was taken by a male in his teens who initially tried to flirt with her. When his advances were spurned, he assaulted the female, took her phone and fled the scene.
In the station bus zone, a 16 year old female was attacked by a young adult male, who repeatedly punched and kicked the victim. She suffered a deep forehead laceration, swelled and bloodied nose and lips. Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital and an investigation is continuing.
Officers encountered the victim of a stabbing on the sidewalk adjacent to the station. The victim, an adult female, was stabbed in the leg by an adult male who is known to the victim and a witness. The suspect fled on foot. El Cerrito PD was notified and assumed the investigation.
A sixteen year old female was attacked and battered by a group of eight to ten other juveniles in the bus stop area of the station. The victim called from a local hospital where she was treated for a large gash above her right eye and other injuries. There were no arrests.
A sergeant on patrol interceded on a domestic violence incident after he heard a female screaming for help. It was determined that she'd been battered by a boyfriend who was subsequently arrested and booked.
A BPD K9 was used to search the station after an anonymous caller called 911 stating "There's a bomb on BART, there's a bomb on BART." The call emanated from the free area at the south end of the station. The search failed to yield any suspicious objects.
A male subject was in the bus zone when he was attacked and robbed by several male suspects who took his cellular phone. Two suspects were detained and one was positively identified by the victim. During the incident a female subject tried to intervene with the officers duties and had to be pepper sprayed. The male suspect was arrested for robbery and the female suspect was arrested for resisting arrest and battery on a Police Officer. Both were booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.
An Officer made a traffic stop for a moving violation at the El Cerrito Del Norte Station. Further investigation revealed that both driver and passenger were in possession of Marijuana for sale. Both suspects were arrested and booked at the Richmond Jail.
An adult male was in the station bus zone with his girlfriend, when his ex-girlfriend suddenly approached. The ex-girlfriend began battering the male, and was subsequently arrested and booked by responding officers.
