1201-2571, 2220 hours An officer saw the suspect fare evade via the elevator at the El Cerrito del Norte BART Station. A warrant check located an outstanding Alameda County no bail burglary warrant. The suspect was cited for the fare evasion and booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.
A patron reported that his parked car was taken without his permission from the El Cerrito Del Norte Station sometime between 0650-1600 hours. The missing vehicle is a 95 Honda Civic taken from the 3rd level of the parking structure.

A station agent saw a woman hit a female juvenile across the face with the back of her hand. Officers contacted the 8-year-old victim and suspect about the battery. Child Protective Services was notified, as was the child’s mother . A detective responded and conducted interviews. A patrol sergeant supervised the investigation. The suspect, a friend of the child’s mother, was cited for 273 a (b) PC, willfully causing physical pain to a child, and released. The girl was turned over to her mother.

Officers contacted a male suspect who was attempting to lift the closed grill gate to “exit” the closed and locked BART station. The suspect stated he had just entered the station by lifting and crawling under closed grill gate, but that method of entry could not be confirmed. The suspect was in possession of an empty wine bottle and the officer determined the suspect was intoxicated in public and unable to care for his own safety. The suspect was arrested and booked for public intoxication.

A woman said she had her bag with a laptop inside next to her as she was sitting down and talking on her cell phone while riding on the train from the 12th Street Station to the Del Norte Station. When the woman began to off board at the Del Norte Station, she discovered her bag missing and three males in the immediate area. The woman confronted the three males about the bags, which they all denied having taken. Upon their arrival at the station, officers detained two subjects matching the description given by the woman to dispatch and they were positively identified by the woman as the men who were near her when she noticed her bag missing. One of the subjects was on probation for robbery with a search clause. A search of his person resulted in the recovery of an Airsoft pistol. The other subject had an outstanding $5,000 no-cite arrest warrant out of San Francisco for theft. The subject was placed under arrest for the warrant. The bag was never recovered. 1112-0778 L12.
A victim reported that two suspects who robbed him of his wallet and money in San Pablo a day earlier were on the platform. Officers searched the platform, and detained two subjects matching the description given. The suspects were positively identified by the victim and placed under arrest for robbery. No weapons were located and trains were held for nine minutes. The case was turned over to San Pablo Police. TSOC notified.

A man telephoned the ISRC/BART PD dispatch from his home and reported that he had been robbed at gunpoint in the bus zone earlier. The victim said that the suspect went through the victim’s pockets, took his T-mobile cell phone, and fled south on foot. An officer went to the victim’s residence and interviewed him. An unsuccessful area search was conducted for the suspect. The investigating officer will follow up on a lead that another officer provided as to the identity of a possible suspect. (suspect description: B-M, 19 years old, short, black jacket, white shirt, blue jeans, white and blue shoes)
Two boys reported that they were robbed by two men in the bus zone. The suspects demanded the victims’ property, pulled headphones off of the older boy, then took his necklace. The younger victim gave up his cell phone out of fear that he would be injured. The suspects, who may have been drinking, left south- bound on foot. A sergeant and officers conducted an unsuccessful area search for the suspects. A male victim reported two male suspects attempted to rob him of his gold chain and one of the suspects had a gun. The suspects fled toward north on San Pablo Blvd. BART and El Cerrito officers were in the area immediately after being notified of the crime, but were unable to locate any suspects. The suspects decriptions: #1 HMJ, 16 yrs, blk hoodie, blue jeans; #2 16 yrs, grey hoodie, blue jeans, handgun. There were no injuries and no loss of property.

A sergeant took a missing person report from a mother who reported her 41-year old son was overdue and missing. The missing son is autistic and lives at a group home in Fremont. The mother stated the son was dropped off at the Fremont station at 0900 and was to travel to the El Cerrito Del Norte station; which he has done in the past. As of 1215 hrs, the son had not arrived at the El Cerrito Del Norte station. The son’s description was broadcasted via police radio and a request made to BART Central to broadcast the same to train operators, and station agents. The group home where the son lives was also contacted. A missing person’s report (MUPS) was completed and the Criminal Investigations supervisor notified, as the missing son could be “at risk.” At 1234 hrs, the son was located safely at the Fremont station. Apparently the son got lost and returned to the Fremont station.
