An unidentified patron reported to the agent at the Powell Station that a male boarded a Daly City bound train at Powell stating “I have a bomb that is louder than what is in my cooler.” The suspect was rolling a cooler. The suspect was described as a White Male medium build, 30’s-40’s, wearing a dark jacket. A BART Sgt responded and searched the train for the suspect and any suspicious items with negative results. TSOC notified (TSA 10-31572-16)
A female suspect confronted the station agent and entered the booth. The suspect pushed, kicked and hit the agent before the agent was able to close the booth door. The suspect walked away, but was detained by responding officers about two blocks from the station. The agent positively identified the suspect and made a citizen's arrest for battery. The agent was not injured. The suspect was booked at the San Mateo County Jail and was issued a prohibition order.

A patron reported that their blue unknown name brand men’s mountain bicycle was stolen while it was cable locked in the southwest concourse area of the station, between 1200 and 1900 hours. An officer responded to take the report.
A patron reported that their white 2009 Toyota Scion was burglarized while parked in the St. Charles lot, between 0800 to 1730 hours. An unknown suspect smashed the vehicle’s rear driver’s side window to gain entry and stole a blue North Face backpack containing miscellaneous clothing. An officer responded, processed the vehicle for latent prints and completed a report.
A patron reported that their black 2016 Honda HRV was burglarized while parked in stall #2070 in the St. Charles lot, between 0800-1730 hours. An unknown suspect smashed the right rear window to gain entry. The interior was ransacked, but the owner could not identify any loss.
Officers contacted an adult male for fare evasion and discovered that he had a $10,000 warrant for drug possession and a $5,000 traffic warrant. The male was FI'd for the fare evasion and booked into the Redwood City Jail for the warrants.
Officers detained a male suspect who reportedly struck a two year old child with his backpack while boarding a station elevator alongside the child’s parents. During the detention, officers learned the suspect was prohibited from BART property, per an active stay away order, and placed him under arrest for the violation. The parents declined to seek a complaint against the suspect for battery, and refused medical attention for the child who did not sustain visible injuries. The suspect was subsequently booked into the county jail for violating the stay away order.
A male suspect detained for reportedly creating a disturbance aboard a train by an officer was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself, in addition to having an outstanding $20K misdemeanor drug warrant, held by Palo Alto Police, for his arrest. The officer then placed the suspect under arrest for the warrant and public intoxication, and booked him into the county jail.
A BART employee reported they were unable to find their set of work keys after being involved in a traffic collision in the city of Daly City on 7/26/16. The employee was injured during the collision and transported to the hospital, while their vehicle was towed to a storage yard. On 8/9/16, after recovering from their injury and while preparing to return to work, the employee was unable to locate their work keys. An officer contacted the employee, prepared a report and notified TSOC of the missing keys.
Officers responded to the Daly City Station for a report of a male casing cars in the parking lot of the Daly City Station. Officers detained a male and a records check showed he had two arrest warrants. The male was booked at the Redwood City Jail.
A victim reported his cell phone, laptop computer and his wallet was removed from his backpack while aboard a Daly City bound train, between 0100-0130 hours. The victim fell asleep on the train and discovered the loss when he arrived home.
A BART Police Officer responded to the station regarding a possible medical call aboard a Muni bus. Prior to the officer’s arrival, Daly City Police officers made contact with a female subject associated with the medical call and determined she was too intoxicated to care for herself, but not in need of medical attention. Upon the BART officer’s arrival, he confirmed the female’s inebriated condition and placed her under arrest. The officer then booked the subject into the county jail public intoxication.
A victim reported that their 2007 Toyota Prius was burglarized (via right rear window smash) while parked in stall #309; between 0735 hours on 7/22/16 and 0841 hours on 7/23/16. The victim reported to the investigating officer that no items appeared to have been taken during the burglary. The officer processed the vehicle for fingerprints and completed a report.

While on patrol, an officer observed and detained a subject for fare evasion. A wants check revealed that the subject had two misdemeanor warrants. 1) $20k warrant charging battery. The second warrant was $5k charging narcotics violation. Both warrants were issued from the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office. The subject was arrested and booked into the Redwood City Jail for his warrant.
