A male suspect detained by an officer for fare evasion was found to have an outstanding $5K misdemeanor traffic warrant, held by the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, for his arrest. The officer arrested the suspect for the warrant and then booked him into the county jail.
Patrons reported two males on the train who appeared to be crushing pills and snorting the powder. One of the males was located and detained for investigation. A probation search revealed a small quantity of suspect methamphetamine on his person. The man was cited for narcotics possession and released at the scene.
A female suspect was stopped for fare evasion at the Daly City Station. A warrant check revealed the female had two felony arrest warrants. The female was placed under arrest and booked at the San Francisco County Jail.
The train operator of a Millbrae bound train reported seeing something or someone on the tracks at milepost 14.8 M1, and hearing a possible impact. The train operator stopped the train and checked the area, but did not find anyone injured, or any signs of damage to the train. Track inspections by other trains in both directions were also negative. The train operator later provided a detailed description of a while male in orange scrub pants that he had seen climbing over a third rail cover board. With this information, officers and maintenance crews conducted a search of both tracks on foot, from Daly City Station to milepost 14.7, but found no evidence that anyone, or anything had been hit by the train.
A victim reported that their car was burglarized while parked on the second level of the parking structure between 2000 hours on 11/20 and 1224 hours on 11/21. The passenger window was smashed to gain entry and a backpack and books were taken. The victim declined to have the vehicle processed for evidence.
A BART Officer responded to investigate a report of a person calling 911 stating “I’m going to get beat up.” The subsequent investigation resulted in the caller being arrested for a no bail parole violation CDC warrant. The suspect was transported to the Redwood City Jail.
An unidentified patron reported to the agent at the Powell Station that a male boarded a Daly City bound train at Powell stating “I have a bomb that is louder than what is in my cooler.” The suspect was rolling a cooler. The suspect was described as a White Male medium build, 30’s-40’s, wearing a dark jacket. A BART Sgt responded and searched the train for the suspect and any suspicious items with negative results. A female suspect confronted the station agent and entered the booth. The suspect pushed, kicked and hit the agent before the agent was able to close the booth door. The suspect walked away, but was detained by responding officers about two blocks from the station. The agent positively identified the suspect and made a citizen's arrest for battery. The agent was not injured. The suspect was booked at the San Mateo County Jail and was issued a prohibition order.

A patron reported that their blue unknown name brand men’s mountain bicycle was stolen while it was cable locked in the southwest concourse area of the station, between 1200 and 1900 hours. An officer responded to take the report.
A patron reported that their white 2009 Toyota Scion was burglarized while parked in the St. Charles lot, between 0800 to 1730 hours. An unknown suspect smashed the vehicle’s rear driver’s side window to gain entry and stole a blue North Face backpack containing miscellaneous clothing. An officer responded, processed the vehicle for latent prints and completed a report.
A patron reported that their black 2016 Honda HRV was burglarized while parked in stall #2070 in the St. Charles lot, between 0800-1730 hours. An unknown suspect smashed the right rear window to gain entry. The interior was ransacked, but the owner could not identify any loss.
Officers contacted an adult male for fare evasion and discovered that he had a $10,000 warrant for drug possession and a $5,000 traffic warrant. The male was FI'd for the fare evasion and booked into the Redwood City Jail for the warrants.
Officers detained a male suspect who reportedly struck a two year old child with his backpack while boarding a station elevator alongside the child’s parents. During the detention, officers learned the suspect was prohibited from BART property, per an active stay away order, and placed him under arrest for the violation. The parents declined to seek a complaint against the suspect for battery, and refused medical attention for the child who did not sustain visible injuries. The suspect was subsequently booked into the county jail for violating the stay away order.
A male suspect detained for reportedly creating a disturbance aboard a train by an officer was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself, in addition to having an outstanding $20K misdemeanor drug warrant, held by Palo Alto Police, for his arrest. The officer then placed the suspect under arrest for the warrant and public intoxication, and booked him into the county jail.
