A victim reported that their vehicle ignition was damaged while parked at the station between 0600-2350 hours. Someone entered the vehicle by unknown means and damaged the ignition in an apparent attempt to steal the vehicle. The suspect took a pair of sunglasses from the vehicle. The vehicle was processed for evidence.
A witness reported a male was trying door handles on parked cars at the Daly City Station. The male found one car unlocked and entered the vehicle. Officers arrived, located the male inside the car and arrested him for theft.
A male suspect detained for littering by an officer was found to have three outstanding burglary/narcotics warrants, held by San Mateo County police agencies and totaling 17.5K in bail amount, for his arrest. The officer placed the suspect under arrest for the warrants, and then found he was in possession of burglary tools. The suspect was eventually booked into the county jail.
The victim’s 16’ Honda Accord was burglarized between the hours of 1400 on 5/28 and 1215 hours, today’s date. Loss was an OVA laptop, a BlackBerry cell phone and a pair of yellow women’s high heel shoes. The responding officer processed the vehicle and was able to recover two sets of latent prints.
A cab driver reported that he left the keys to his cab in the ignition and was standing near the vehicle when a suspect jumped in and drove away in the vehicle. Daly City PD located the cab and took a male suspect into custody. The vehicle was released back to the cab driver and the arrest was handled by DCPD.
While on patrol, an observed an individual burglarizing a vehicle in the St. Charles lot. The officer was able to take the suspect into custody without incident. The suspect was found to have 2 outstanding misdemeanor warrants issued from the ACSO for property crime and narcotics violations. The suspect was transported and booked into the SF Jail for burglary and his warrants. An attempt was made to contact the registered owner of the vehicle.
A victim reported a burglary to their vehicle a while it was parked in the east side parking lot in stall #3085. The victim parked their vehicle at 2000 hours on 5/13/2017 and returned at 0900 hours on 5/14/2017 to someone had entered his locked vehicle through the open sunroof. The victim stated $10,000 worth of camera equipment was stolen from the trunk of his vehicle.
The victim reported that their 1997 Mitsubishi Montero was burglarized, via right rear wing-window smash, while parked at the station, stall #2048, between 1800 hours on 4/18/17 and 1158 hours on 4/21/17. An older model Lenovo brand laptop was taken during the burglary. An officer responded, processed the vehicle for fingerprints and completed a report.
Two auto burglary victims reported via phone reports, loss from their respective vehicles which were parked in the parking structure in stalls opposite each other. Both vehicles, a 14’ Toyota Prius and a 11’ Honda CRV sustained window smashes. Loss from the Toyota was two baby carriers and a trunk organizer. Loss from the Honda was miscellaneous clothing. The burglaries occurred sometime between the hours of 0545-1745 hours.
A victim reported that their vehicle was burglarized while parked in the parking structure. The rear passenger side window was smashed to gain entry. A first aid kit backpack and an earthquake preparedness kit were taken. The crime occurred between 1730-2215 hours.
A cab driver reported that a group of 8-10 juveniles (BMJs and BFJs, 14-15 years old) began punching him and took his cash. The juveniles then fled the area on foot and one on a bike and were not located. The victim declined medical attention.
A victim reported that their vehicle was burglarized while parked on the 2nd floor of the parking structure between 0630-1545 hours. There were no signs of forced entry, so it is unknown how the suspect entered the vehicle, but a baseball cap and the owner's manual for the vehicle were taken. The vehicle was not processed for evidence (phone report).
