A 52 year old Concord man entered the trackway of the Concord Station and refused to exit, violation of 369i PC. The male threatened to kill himself by jumping off the raised trackway. Train traffic was interrupted between the Concord and Pleasant Hill Station, causing major delays in train service. BART Police, Contra Cost Fire and outside agencies responded to the scene to secure the area and began negotiating with the suicidal male. After negotiations failed, approximately 0235 hours, the male was physically removed from the trackway and placed on a 5150 W&I hold. Criminal charges are pending. Train service was restored for the morning commute.
Johnson, Julius (05/31/79, Pittsburg) was contacted at the Pittsburg Station and arrested on the listed charge. A prohibition order was issued. Johnson was transported and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.
A male subject, Roberto Enrique MARENCO (5/16/1981, Concord), was taken into custody by the Clayton Police Department for a Ramey warrant held by the BART Police Department for an incident that occurred earlier in the day. The BART Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division took custody of MARENCO. MARENCO was ultimately transported and booked into the Contra Costa County jail in Martinez.
BART officers assisted San Pablo Police Department by locating a homicide suspect (Ignacio Gomez, 25 years, San Pablo) aboard a BART train at the Concord Station. Gomez was placed under arrest and was released to San Pablo.
A victim reported the theft of their Trek mountain bike from the Concord Station. The bike was parked/locked on 7/27/19, 1600 hours. The theft was discovered on 7/28/19, 2100 hours when the victim returned to the station. The bike was secured with a cable lock.
Jalani Carter (5/14/91, Concord) was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant with a $10,000 bail and 11364 H&S at the Concord Station. Carter was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.
