A sergeant and 5 officers conducted focused enforcement for fare evasion at the Coliseum, Fruitvale and West Oakland Stations that resulted in 19 contacts (eleven cites, two arrests, three warnings, and three juvenile contacts). L22
Officers responded to the station on the report of a male subject battering several customers on the platform and train. The suspect, later identified as Gene Mabry (37 years old, Oakland), fled the station and was located by responding officers in the neighborhood adjacent to the station. Mabry was identified by the only victim who remained on scene as the person who had battered him. Mabry was taken into custody and booked into Alameda County jail for the battery. In addition, Mabry was issued a prohibition order.

Officers stopped a male (Dominic James, 21 years, Oakland) for fare evasion at the Coliseum Station. James attempted to resist and was taken into custody after a brief struggle. He was booked into jail for resisting arrest and violation of probation. James was issued a prohibition order.
9/28/17 at 0656 An officer responded to the Coliseum BART Station for a male (Eric Mason, 47 years) on the train with an open bladed knife. The officer retrieved the knife and discovered that Mason had an outstanding warrant and he was in possession of a billy club. Mason was booked into Glenn Dyer Jail on the warrant and possession of manufactured weapon.
Officers detained a male (Marlon Forrest, 31 years old,Pittsburg) for causing a disturbance on a train. A records check revealed Forrest had a $20,000 outstanding warrant (Concord PD) for resisting arrest. Forrest was arrest on the warrant and booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail.
Officers detained a male (Alphonso Thrower, 45 years old, Oakland) for fare evasion. A records check revealed that Thrower had an outstanding $40,000 larceny warrant. Thrower was issued a citation for fare evasion, transported to Santa Rita County Jail and booked on the warrant.
On 9/16/17 a victim reported a burglary of their 2013 Porsche Cayenne while it was parked in stall 604 at the Coliseum Station. The burglary occurred on 9/5/17 between 1200 hours and 2000 hours. Entry was made via a rear windshield smash. The loss was luggage containing clothing.
A victim reported their 2015 Toyota Tacoma was damaged while parked in space 301 at the Coliseum Station. The incident occurred on 9/14/17 between 0800-2150 hours. The vehicle's passenger side rear window was smashed. There was no loss.
A victim reported their 1991 Dodge Durango was burglarized while parked at the Coliseum Lot from 1800 hours on 9/13 to 1000 hours on 9/14. The suspect smashed the rear passenger window to enter. Loss was a backpack and tools.
A victim reported a burglary to their 2001 Acura TL while it was parked in stall 779 at the Coliseum Station. The burglary occurred between on 9/10/17 between 0745 hours and 1835 hours. Entry was made via driver's side front window smash. The vehicle's stereo was stolen.
The victim reported that their 2005 Chrysler was burglarized, via window smash, while parked in the station's parking lot between 0400 hours on 9-3-17 and 0930 hours on 9-4-17. Tools, jewelry and glasses were taken during the burglary. An officer responded to take the report.
