An adult male attempted to evade fare by exiting through the side gate at the agent's booth. When the agent told the subject to come back the subject confronted the agent inside the agent's booth and assaulted him with his fists. Responding officers apprehended the suspect and booked him accordingly.
A female patron had her Apple Iphone snatched from her possession by an adult male who was described as being in his 30's, 6'3" in height, muscular, wearing short hair, a hooded jacket and black pants. The suspect fled the station via the 7th St. stairway to Market St.
An argument topside on Market St. led to a subject being struck and bloodied by a large rock. Two adult males argued with another adult male over a backpack. As the subject with the backpack descended the stairway leading from Market St. to the concourse level of the station, one of the subjects he argued with hurled a large rock striking him in the face. The victim sustained a major facial cut and possibly a broken nose. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The suspects fled the scene.
An adult male subject appears to have intentionally fallen and while being helped up by an adult female, he was able to unzip her purse and remove her wallet. The suspect then ran off and was not located.
Officers at Civic Center station were informed by patrons of an argument among several adult men on the platform level. While responding, officers were told one of the suspects was carrying a firearm, and that they had exited the station. While following the suspects' direction of flight out of the station, officers heard two gunshots and chased three suspects into the surrounding neighborhood. The officers were able to detain one of the suspects and turn him over to San Francisco Police. It was later determined that a victim was shot nearby. An investigation is on-going. 0712-1031 L21.
A patron on a Daly City train had his iPhone stolen when the train arrived at Civic Center station. The unknown suspect took the victim's iPhone and fled from the train. Investigating officers were unable to locate the suspect.
An on-duty station agent was exiting a train when he was first bumped and then kicked and punched by a female passenger. They ended up wrestling on the ground as the station agent attempted to restrain the suspect. The suspect was booked for battery.
An officer contacted an adult male at Civic Center station for fare evasion. The officer determined the suspect had a felony narcotics warrant. The suspect was arrested and booked at the San Francisco Hall of Justice. 0710-2504. L21.
Several witnesses saw an elderly male find a dollar on the ground at Civic Center station. When he returned it to a younger man who claimed ownership, the younger man demanded more money and began to beat the elderly male with a metal belt. The elderly male defended himself with a knife and inflicted a laceration on the other man. The case is continuing to be investigated, and will be submitted to the District Attorney's Office for a criminal complaint. 0709-1502. L21.
An adult male was observed in the tunnel walking from 16th St. station towards Civic Center station. The subject was picked up by a train and taken to Civic Center where officers detained him, eventually arresting him on a felony parole violation warrant.
A subject on-viewed by patrol officers trying to purchase tickets with a stolen credit card was arrested and booked for burglary in addition to $60,000 in warrants charging burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools and a narcotics violation.
A system service worker found an unresponsive homeless man passed out in the station. Officers and paramedics arrived, but the paramedics were unable to revive the victim, and the coroner was notified. It appeared as though the victim walked into the station, laid down and expired. There were no signs of foul play.
A K-9 officer on-viewed a man stealing a bicycle tire in the station. The 31-year-old suspect was found to be in possession of narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and burglary tools. He was booked at the San Francisco Jail for possession of those items and for burglary.
